Ezekiel 8

1 In the sixth year, on the fifth day of the sixth month, I was sitting at home and the elders of Judah weresitting with me, when suddenly the hand of the Lord Yahweh fel on me there.	1 Il sesto anno, il sesto mese, ai cinque del mese mentre io stava sedendo in casa mia, e sedevano i seniori di Giuda intorno a me, si fé sentir ivi subitamente la mano del Signore Dio sopra di me.
2 I looked, and there was a form with the appearance of a human being. Downwards from what seemedto be the waist there was fire; and upwards from the waist there was a bril iance like the glitter of amber.	2 E vidi, ed ecco un immagine d'uomo quasi di fuoco: dai lombi in già era fuoco, e dai lombi in su era come una splendida luce, come elettro lucente.
3 Something like a hand was stretched out and it took me by a lock of my hair; and the spirit lifted mebetween heaven and earth and, in visions from God, took me to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the inner northgate, where stands the idol that provokes jealousy.	3 E stesa come una mano mi prese per una treccia del mio capo, e alzommi in inspirito tra cielo, e terra, e portommi in Gerusalemme per una visione di Dio, presso alla porta interiore, che guardava a settentrione, dove era collocato l'idolo della gelosia a provocare l'emulazione.
4 There was the glory of the God of Israel; it looked like what I had seen in the val ey.	4 Ed ecco ivi la gloria del Dio d'Israele secondo la visione, ch'io avea veduta nella campagna.
5 He said, 'Son of man, raise your eyes to the north.' I raised my eyes to the north, and there, to the northof the altar gate, stood this statue of jealousy at the entrance.	5 Ed ei mi disse: Figliuolo dell'uomo alza i tuoi occhi alla parte di settentrione: e alzai i miei occhi alla parte di settentrione, ed ecco a settentrione della porta dell'altare l'idolo di gelosia sullo stesso liminare.
6 He said, 'Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the monstrous, loathsome things that the Houseof Israel is practising here, to drive me out of my sanctuary? And you wil see practices more loathsome still.'	6 E dissemi: Figliuolo dell'uomo, vedi tu quel, che fanno costoro, e le abbominazioni grandi, che fa qui la casa d'Israele, perch' io mi ritiri dal mio santuario? E se tu ti volgerai altrove, vedrai abbominazioni maggiori.
7 He next took me to the entrance to the court. I looked; there was a hole in the wal .	7 E mi condusse a una porta dell'atrio interiore, ed eravi un foro nella muraglia.
8 He said, 'Son of man, bore through the wal .' I bored through the wall, until I had made an opening.	8 E dissemi: Figliuolo dell'uomo, apri la muraglia: e rotto che ebbi il muro, comparve una porta.
9 He said, 'Go in and look at the loathsome things they are doing inside.'	9 Ed ei mi disse: Entra dentro, e osserva le abbominazioni pessime, che fan qui costoro.
10 I went in and looked and there was every kind of reptile and repulsive animal, and al the foul idols ofthe House of Israel, carved al round the walls.	10 Ed entrai, e vidi; ed ecco im magini d'ogni specie di rettili, e di animali, e l'abbominazione della casa d'Israele, e tutti quanti i suoi idoli eran dipinti all'intorno nel muro quant'era grande.
11 Seventy elders of the House of Israel were worshipping the idols -- among them Jaazaniah son ofShaphan -- each one with his censer in his hand, from which rose a fragrant cloud of incense.	11 E settanta uomini de' seniori della casa d'Israele stavan dinanzi alle pitture, e in mezzo ad essi Giezonia figliuolo di Saphan; e ognun di essi avea alla mano un turibolo, e un vapor come nebbia alzavasi dall'incenso.
12 He said, 'Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the House of Israel do in the dark, each in hispersonal image-shrine? They say, "Yahweh cannot see us; Yahweh has abandoned the country." '	12 Ed ei mi disse: Certamente figliuolo dell'uomo, tu vedi le cose, che seniori della casa d'Israele fanno nelle tenebre, ognuno nel segreto della sua camera: imperocché essi dicono: Il Signore non ci vedrà: il Signore ha abbandonata la terra.
13 He said, 'You wil see them at practices more loathsome stil .'	13 E dissemi: Ancor volgendoti in altra parte vedrai abbominazioni peggiori, che fanno costoro.
14 He next took me to the entrance of the north gate of the Temple of Yahweh where women were sitting,weeping for Tammuz.	14 E menommi all'ingresso della porta della casa del Signore, che guardava settentrione: ed ecco ivi le donne a sedere piangenti Adone.
15 He said, 'Son of man, do you see that? You will see even more loathsome things than that.'	15 E dissemi: Tu certamente figliuolo dell'uomo hai veduto: se anche altrove ti volgerai, vedrai abbominazioni maggiori di queste.
16 He then led me to the inner court of the Temple of Yahweh. And there, at the entrance to Yahweh'ssanctuary, between the portico and the altar, there were about twenty-five men, with their backs to Yahweh'ssanctuary and their faces turned towards the east. They were prostrating themselves to the east, before therising sun.	16 E menommi nell'atrio interiore della casa del Signore; ed ecco all'ingresso del tempio del Signore trai vestibolo, e l'altare circa venticinque uomini, che voltavan la schiena al tempio del Signore, e la faccia all'oriente, e adoravano il sol nascente.
17 He said to me, 'Son of man, do you see that? Is it not bad enough for the House of Judah to be doingthe loathsome things they are doing here? But they fil the country with violence and provoke my anger further;look at them now putting that branch to their nostrils.	17 E dissemi: Certamente, o figliuolo dell'uomo, tu hai veduto: è ella forse piccola cosa per la casa di Giuda il fare queste abbominazioni, che hanno fatto in questo luogo, che ripiena avendo la terra d'iniquità, si son rivolti ad irritarmi? Ed ecco che accostano un ramoscello alle loro narici.
18 And so I shal react in fury; I shal show neither pity nor mercy. They may cry as loudly as they like to me; I wil not listen.'	18 Anch'io pertanto nel mio furore agirò: non s'impietosirà l'occhio mio, e non avrò misericordia: e allorché alzeran le grida alle mie orecchie, io non gli esaudirò.
