1 He then took me out into the outer court on the north side and led me to the room facing the court, thatis to say, to the front of the building on the north side.	1 E mi fece uscire nell'atrio esteriore per la via del settentrione, e mi fece entrare nelle camere che erari di faccia all'edifìcio separato e di faccia alla casa dal lato settentrionale.
2 Along the front, it was a hundred cubits long on the north side and fifty cubits wide.	2 Di faccia alla porta di settentrione aveva cento cubiti di lunghezza, e cinquanta cubiti di larghezza.
3 Facing the gateways of the inner court and facing the paving of the outer court was a gal ery in front ofthe triple gal ery,	3 Di faccia all'atrio interiore, venti cubiti, e di faccia al pavimento lastricato dell'atrio esteriore c'eran portici uniti a triplice ordine.
4 and in front of the rooms was a walk, ten cubits measured inwards and a hundred cubits long; theirdoors looked north.	4 E davanti alle camere c'era un passaggio di dieci cubiti di larghezza, e per andare nell'interno c'era un passaggio d'un cubito, e le loro porte erano a settentrione.
5 The top-floor rooms were narrow because the gal eries took up part of the width, being narrower thanthose on the ground floor or those on the middle floor of the building;	5 Le camere del piano superiore eran più piccole, perchè portavano i portici che erano più alti nella parte inferiore e media dell'edifìcio.
6 these were divided into three storeys and had no columns such as the court had. Hence they werenarrower than the ground floor ones or the middle-floor ones (below them).	6 Erano infatti tre piani, e non avevan colonne come le colonne degli atrii, per questo si alzavano di cinquanta cubiti dal suolo sopra il piano inferiore e quel di mezzo.
7 The outer wal paral el to the rooms, facing them and giving onto the outer court, was fifty cubits long,	7 E la cinta esteriore, lungo le camere che erano verso l'atrio esteriore, che era di faccia alle camere, aveva cinquanta cubiti di lunghezza.
8 the length of the rooms facing the outer court being fifty cubits, while for those facing the hal of theTemple it was a hundred cubits.	8 La lunghezza delle camere dell'atrio esteriore era di cinquanta cubiti, e la lunghezza dinanzi al tempio era di cento cubiti.
9 Beneath the rooms there was an entrance from the east, leading in from the outer court.	9 E sotto le camere v'era un'entrata da oriente per chi entrava in esse dall'atrio esteriore.
10 In the thickness of the wal of the court, on the south side fronting the court and the building, wererooms.	10 Nella larghezza della cinta dell'atrio, che era dal lato orientale, di faccia all'edificio separato, v'erano, dinanzi all'edifìcio, delle camere.
11 A walk ran in front of them, as with the rooms built on the north side; they were of the same lengthand breadth, and were of similar design with similar doors in and out.	11 E dinanzi ad esse v'era un passaggio simile a quello delle camere che erano verso settentrione, e la loro lunghezza e la loro larghezza era uguale, così i loro ingressi, le loro figure, le loro porte.
12 Before the rooms on the south side there was an entrance at the end of each walk, opposite thecorresponding wall on the east side, at their entries.	12 Come le porte delle camere, così quelle che guardavano il mezzogiorno: la porta era a capo della strada, la strada era davanti al vestibolo separato per chi veniva da oriente.
13 He said to me, 'The northern and southern rooms giving onto the court are the rooms of thesanctuary, in which the priests who approach Yahweh will eat the most holy things. In them will be placed themost holy things: the oblation, the sacrifice for sin and the sacrifice of reparation, since this is a holy place.	13 E mi disse: « Le camere di settentrione e le camere di mezzodì, che sono davanti all'edificio separato, son camere sante, in esse mangiano i sacerdoti che si accostano al Signore nel Santo dei Santi, in esse porranno le cose santissime e le oblazioni per il peccato e pel delitto essendo santo quel luogo.
14 Once the priests have entered, they wil not go out of the holy place into the outer court withoutleaving their liturgical vestments there, since these vestments are holy; they will put on other clothes beforegoing near places assigned to the people.'	14 E i sacerdoti, entrati che siano, non usciranno dal Santo nell'atrio esteriore, ma ivi riporranno le loro vesti che portano nel loro ministero, perchè sono sante, e prenderanno altre vesti, e cosi andranno al popolo ».
15 When he had finished measuring the inside of the Temple, he took me out to the east gate andmeasured it right round the sides.	15 E quando ebbe finito di misurare la casa interiore, mi condusse fuori per la via della porta che guardava ad oriente, e la misurò da ogni parte tutt'all'intorno.
16 He measured the east side with his measuring rod: a total of five hundred cubits by the measuringrod.	16 E misurò dalla parte d'oriente colla canna da misurare, cinquecento canne di misura all'intorno.
17 He then measured the north side: a total of five hundred cubits by the measuring rod.	17 E misurò dalla parte di settentrione colla canna da misurare, cinquecento canne all'intorno.
18 He then measured the south side: five hundred cubits by the measuring rod	18 E misurò dalla parte di mezzogiorno colla canna da misurare, cinquecento canne all'intorno.
19 was the total. On the west side he measured five hundred cubits by the measuring rod.	19 E misurò dalla parte d'occidente colla canna da misurare, cinquecento canne all'intorno.
20 He measured the entire enclosing wall on al four sides: length five hundred, breadth five hundred,separating the sacred from the profane.	20 Dai quattro venti ne misurò il muro in ogni parte tutt'all'intorno; il muro che separava il santuario dal luogo destinato al popolo aveva cinquecento cubiti di lunghezza e cinquecento cubiti di larghezza.
