1 He then took me out into the outer court on the north side and led me to the room facing the court, thatis to say, to the front of the building on the north side.	1 - Poi mi condusse fuori nel cortile esteriore, per la via diretta a settentrione, e mi introdusse nelle sale che erano di rimpetto all'edifizio separato e di rimpetto alla costruzione verso il settentrione.
2 Along the front, it was a hundred cubits long on the north side and fifty cubits wide.	2 Lungo la facciata, cento cubiti di lunghezza dalla porta di settentrione e cinquanta cubiti di larghezza.
3 Facing the gateways of the inner court and facing the paving of the outer court was a gal ery in front ofthe triple gal ery,	3 Da una parte era di rimpetto su venti cubiti, al cortile interiore e dall'altra di rimpetto al pavimento lastricato del cortile esteriore, dove era un portico contro un portico, a tre piani.
4 and in front of the rooms was a walk, ten cubits measured inwards and a hundred cubits long; theirdoors looked north.	4 E davanti alle sale un ambulacro di dieci cubiti di larghezza che s'internava in un passaggio largo un cubito, e le loro entrate erano verso settentrione.
5 The top-floor rooms were narrow because the gal eries took up part of the width, being narrower thanthose on the ground floor or those on the middle floor of the building;	5 Le sale, quelle situate nei piani di sopra, erano più basse, perchè sostenute dai portici che sporgevano fuori nella parte bassa e media dell'edifizio.
6 these were divided into three storeys and had no columns such as the court had. Hence they werenarrower than the ground floor ones or the middle-floor ones (below them).	6 Perchè erano tre piani e non avevano colonne come quelle dei cortili, per questo si alzavano un sull'altro dal terreno, dal piano inferiore e da quel di mezzo [cinquanta cubiti].
7 The outer wal paral el to the rooms, facing them and giving onto the outer court, was fifty cubits long,	7 La cinta esteriore lungo le sale dal lato del cortile esteriore, in faccia a esse sale, aveva la lunghezza di cinquanta cubiti.
8 the length of the rooms facing the outer court being fifty cubits, while for those facing the hal of theTemple it was a hundred cubits.	8 Perchè la lunghezza delle sale dal cortile esteriore era di cinquanta cubiti e la lunghezza dinanzi al tempio era di cento cubiti.
9 Beneath the rooms there was an entrance from the east, leading in from the outer court.	9 E dal di sotto a queste sale era l'ingresso, da oriente per chi andava a esse, dal cortile esteriore.
10 In the thickness of the wal of the court, on the south side fronting the court and the building, wererooms.	10 Sulla larghezza della cinta del cortile che era dalla parte orientale, in faccia all'edifizio separato, e davanti all'altra costruzione, erano anche sale.
11 A walk ran in front of them, as with the rooms built on the north side; they were of the same lengthand breadth, and were of similar design with similar doors in and out.	11 E un passaggio davanti a esse simile a quello delle camere che erano dal lato di settentrione altrettanto lunghe e larghe queste che quelle, e l'ingresso e la forma e le porte di queste, come le porte delle sale che occupavano il braccio di mezzogiorno.
12 Before the rooms on the south side there was an entrance at the end of each walk, opposite thecorresponding wall on the east side, at their entries.	12 C'era una porta in capo alla via, la via che era davanti al vestibolo separato per chi entrava da oriente.
13 He said to me, 'The northern and southern rooms giving onto the court are the rooms of thesanctuary, in which the priests who approach Yahweh will eat the most holy things. In them will be placed themost holy things: the oblation, the sacrifice for sin and the sacrifice of reparation, since this is a holy place.	13 E mi disse: «Le sale di settentrione e le sale di mezzogiorno che sono dinanzi all'edifizio separato sono le sale sacre, dove si cibano i sacerdoti che si accostano al Signore nelle cose le più sante; ivi riporranno le cose sacrosante e l'oblazione pel peccato e pel delitto, perchè il luogo è santo.
14 Once the priests have entered, they wil not go out of the holy place into the outer court withoutleaving their liturgical vestments there, since these vestments are holy; they will put on other clothes beforegoing near places assigned to the people.'	14 Entrati che saranno i sacerdoti, non usciranno dal luogo sacro nel cortile esteriore, se quivi non avranno deposti gli indumenti di cui si servono nel ministero perchè sono sacri; indosseranno altri indumenti e così si metteranno in contatto col popolo».
15 When he had finished measuring the inside of the Temple, he took me out to the east gate andmeasured it right round the sides.	15 Quando ebbe compito la misurazione della casa interiore, mi condusse fuori per la via della porta prospettante l'oriente e misurò in tutte le direzioni il circuito.
16 He measured the east side with his measuring rod: a total of five hundred cubits by the measuringrod.	16 E misurò dal lato orientale colla canna da misurare cinquecento canne, all'intorno.
17 He then measured the north side: a total of five hundred cubits by the measuring rod.	17 Poi misurò dal lato settentrionale cinquecento canne a misura di canna tutto il giro.
18 He then measured the south side: five hundred cubits by the measuring rod	18 E dal lato di mezzogiorno misurò cinquecento canne a misura di canna tutto il giro.
19 was the total. On the west side he measured five hundred cubits by the measuring rod.	19 E dal lato occidentale misurò cinquecento canne a misura di canna.
20 He measured the entire enclosing wall on al four sides: length five hundred, breadth five hundred,separating the sacred from the profane.	20 Per quattro lati misurò il muro in tutta la sua cerchia, cinquecento cubiti in lunghezza e cinquecento cubiti in larghezza, per servire di divisione tra il santuario e il posto del volgo.
