Jeremiah 33

NEW JERUSALEM	Biblia Matos Soares
1 Jeremiah was stil confined to the Court of the Guard when the word of Yahweh came to him a secondtime, as follows,	1 Foi dirigida a palavra do Senhor a Jeremias, segunda vez, quando ainda estava recluso no átrio da guarda, nestes termos:
2 'Yahweh who made the earth, who formed it and set it firm -- Yahweh is his name -- says this,	2 Assim fala o Senhor que fez a terra, que lhe deu forma e estabilidade - Iavé é o seu nome -
3 "Call to me and I wil answer you; I wil tell you great secrets of which you know nothing.	3 Invoca-me, e eu te atenderei e te anunciarei coisas grandes e ocultas, que ignoras.
4 For this is what Yahweh, God of Israel, says about the houses of this city and the palaces of the kingsof Judah which are about to be destroyed by means of the earthworks and the sword;	4 Porque isto diz o Senhor Deus de Israel com respeito às casas desta cidade e às casas do rei de Judá destruídas, e às fortificações, e à espada
5 about those now fighting the Chaldaeans, only to fill the city with corpses, those whom I haveslaughtered in my furious anger, those whose wickedness has made me hide my face from this city:	5 dos que vêm pelejar contra os Caldeus, e encher estas casas de cadáveres de homens, que eu feri no meu furor e na minha indignação, desviando a minha face desta cidade, por causa de toda a sua maldade.
6 Look, I shal bring them remedy and cure; I shal cure them and reveal a new order of peace and loyaltyto them.	6 Eis que fecharei a sua chaga e a curarei, eis que lhes mostrarei a paz e a segurança.
7 I shal bring back the captives of Judah and the captives of Israel and shal rebuild them as before.	7 Mudarei a sorte de Judá e de Jerusalém, restabelecê-los-ei como (eram) no princípio.
8 I shal cleanse them of al their guilt, by which they have offended me, I shal forgive al their guiltyactions, by which they have offended me and rebelled against me.	8 Purifica-los-ei de todas as suas iniquidades, com que pecaram contra mim; perdoarei todas as suas maldades, com que me ofenderam e desprezaram.
9 And, for me, Jerusalem wil become a name of joy and praise and pride for all the nations on earth tosee; when they hear of al the prosperity that I shal give, they wil be seized with fear and trembling at al theprosperity and the peace that I provide for it."	9 E isto será para mim motivo de gozo, de louvor e de glória entre todas as nações da terra, quando ouvirem falar de todos os bens que lhes hei-de fazer; ficarão pasmados e se assombrarão de todos os bens e de toda a paz que lhes hei-de conceder.
10 'Yahweh says this, "In this place of which you now say: It is a ruin, without human or animal, in thetowns of Judah and desolate streets of Jerusalem where there is neither human nor animal, once more wil beheard	10 Assim fala o Senhor: Neste lugar - que vós dizeis ser um deserto, sem homens nem animais - nas cidades de Judá, nas ruas de Jerusalém, que estão devastadas, sem homens e sem animais se hão-de ouvir ainda
11 shouts of rejoicing and mirth, the voices of bridegroom and bride, and the singing of those who bringthanksgiving sacrifices to the Temple of Yahweh: Give thanks to Yahweh Sabaoth, for Yahweh is good, for hisfaithful love is everlasting. For I shal bring back the country's captives, as before, Yahweh says."	11 gritos de gozo e de alegria, cantos de esposo e de esposa, vozes dos que dizem: Louvai o Senhor dos exércitos, porque o Senhor é bom, porque a sua graça é eterna - (ouvir-se-á) a voz dos que trazem suas oferendas à casa do Senhor. Com efeito quero restabelecer esta terra no seu anterior estado, diz o Senhor.
12 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "In this ruinous place, without human or animal, in al its towns, onceagain there wil be pastures for the shepherds to rest their flocks.	12 Assim fala o Senhor dos exércitos: Neste lugar que está deserto, sem homens e sem animais, e em todas as suas cidades, há-de haver ainda abrigos de pastores, onde façam repousar os seus rebanhos.
13 In the towns of the highlands, of the lowlands and the Negeb, in the territory of Benjamin, in thedistricts round Jerusalem and in the towns of Judah, once again the flocks shal pass under the hand ofsomeone who counts them, Yahweh says.	13 Nas cidades das montanhas, nas cidades das planícies, nas cidades que estão no meio-dia, na terra de Benjamim, nos arrabaldes de Jerusalém e nas cidades de Judá, ainda hão-de passar os rebanhos pela mão do (pastor) que os conte (ao entrar no redil), diz o Senhor.
14 "Look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when I shal fulfil the promise of happiness I made tothe House of Israel and the House of Judah:	14 Aproximam-se os dias, diz o Senhor, em que eu cumprirei a palavra favorável que dei à casa de Israel e à casa de Judá.
15 In those days and at that time, I shal make an upright Branch grow for David, who wil do what is just and upright in the country.	15 Nesses dias, nesse tempo, farei que saia de Davide um germen justo (o Messias), o qual praticará o direito e a justiça na terra.
16 In those days Judah will triumph and Israel live in safety. And this is the name the city will be cal ed:Yahweh-is-our-Saving-Justice."	16 Naqueles dias Judá será salvo, e Jerusalém habitará sem temor. Eis o nome que lhe será dado: Iavé nossa justiça.
17 'For Yahweh says this, "David wil never lack a male descendant to occupy the throne of the House ofIsrael,	17 Porque isto diz o Senhor: Não faltará jamais um homem da linhagem de Davide que se sente sobre o trono da casa de Israel.
18 nor will the levitical priests ever lack male descendants to stand before me and offer the burntoffering, to burn the cereal offering and offer sacrifice every day." '	18 E da linhagem dos sacerdotes e dos levitas não faltará jamais um homem que ofereça holocaustos em minha presença, que acenda o fogo para queimar a oblação, que imole vítimas todos os dias.
19 The word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah as fol ows,	19 Depois foi dirigida a palavra do Senhor a Jeremias, a qual dizia:
20 'Yahweh says this, "If you could break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night sothat day and night do not come at their due time,	20 Assim fala o Senhor: Se podeis quebrar a minha aliança com o dia e a minha aliança com a noite, de sorte que não haja dia nem noite a seu tempo,
21 then my covenant with David my servant might also be broken and he would have no son to reign onhis throne, and so also might my covenant with the levitical priests, who are my ministers.	21 também poderá ser quebrada a minha aliança com Davide, meu servo, de sorte que não haja mais dele um filho que reine no seu trono, e levitas e sacerdotes postos a meu serviço.
22 As surely as the array of heaven cannot be counted, nor the sand of the sea be measured, so surelyshall I increase the heirs of David my servant and the Levites who minister to me." '	22 Assim como as estrelas do céu não podem ser contadas, nem medida a areia do mar, assim multiplicarei a linhagem de Davide, meu servo, e os levitas, postos a meu serviço.
23 The word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah as fol ows,	23 Foi dirigida a palavra do Senhor a Jeremias, nestes termos:
24 'Have you not noticed what these people say, "The two families which Yahweh chose he has nowrejected"? So they despise my people, whom they no longer think of as a nation.	24 Não tens reparado no que estas gentes dizem: As duas famílias que o Senhor tinha escolhido, foram rejeitadas! É assim que eles desprezam o meu povo, de forma que já o não consideram como uma nação.
25 Yahweh says this, "If I have not created day and night and fixed the laws governing heaven and earth,	25 Isto diz o Senhor: Se não fiz a minha aliança com o dia e com a noite, se não dei leis ao céu e à terra,
26 why, then I shal reject the descendants of Jacob and of David my servant and cease to choose rulersfrom his descendants for the heirs of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob! For I shal bring back their captives and takepity on them." '	26 então também rejeitarei a linhagem de Jacob e de Davide, meu servo, para não tomar da sua geração chefes da estirpe de Abraão, de Isaac e de Jacob. Com efeito quero restabelecê-los e compadecer-me deles.
