Leviticus 4

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 El Señor dijo a Moisés:
2 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "If anyone sins inadvertently against any of Yahweh's commandmentsand does anything prohibited by them,	2 Habla en estos términos a los israelitas: Cuando una persona cometa inadvertidamente un pecado contra cualquiera de los mandamientos del Señor, haciendo lo que no está permitido:
3 if the one who sins is the anointed priest, thus making the people guilty, then for the sin which he hascommitted he must offer Yahweh a young bul , an unblemished animal from the herd, as a sacrifice for sin.	3 Si el que peca es el sacerdote consagrado por la unción –de manera que la culpa recae también sobre el pueblo– él ofrecerá al Señor, por el pecado que ha cometido, un novillo sin defecto, en calidad de sacrificio por el pecado.
4 He wil bring the bul before Yahweh at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, wil lay his hand on its headand slaughter it before Yahweh.	4 Llevará el novillo a la entrada de la Carpa del Encuentro, impondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del mismo, y lo inmolará delante del Señor.
5 The anointed priest wil then take some of the bul 's blood and carry it into the Tent of Meeting.	5 Entonces el sacerdote consagrado por la unción tomará la sangre del novillo y la llevará a la Carpa del Encuentro.
6 He wil then dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle it seven times in front of the sanctuary curtain, beforeYahweh.	6 Luego mojará su dedo en la sangre y con ella hará siete aspersiones delante del Señor, frente al velo del Santuario.
7 The priest will then put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of incense smoking before Yahweh inthe Tent of Meeting, and wil pour al the rest of the bul 's blood at the foot of the altar of burnt offerings at theentrance to the Tent of Meeting.	7 Después pondrá un poco de esa sangre sobre los cuernos del altar del incienso, que está delante del Señor, en la Carpa del Encuentro, y derramará toda la sangre sobre la base del altar de los holocaustos, que se encuentra a la entrada de la Carpa.
8 "Of the bul offered as a sacrifice for sin, he wil set aside all the fat: the fat covering the entrails, al the fat on the entrails,	8 Además extraerá toda la grasa del novillo ofrecido en sacrificio por el pecado: la grasa que recubre las entrañas y la que está adherida a ellas;

10 exactly as was done with the portion set aside in the communion sacrifice -- and the priest will burnthese pieces on the altar of burnt offerings.	10 En una palabra, extraerá lo mismo que se saca del toro en los sacrificios de comunión. Finalmente, el sacerdote hará arder todo esto sobre el altar de los holocaustos.
11 "The bul 's skin and al its meat, its head, its shins, its entrails and its offal,	11 Pero el cuerdo del novillo y toda su carne, lo mismo que su cabeza y sus patas, sus entrañas y excrementos
12 the whole bul he wil then have carried out of the camp to a clean place, the place where the fattyashes are thrown, and wil burn it on a wood fire; it must be burnt where the ashes are thrown.	12 –es decir, todo el resto del novillo– los llevará a un lugar puro situado fuera del campamento, al sitio donde se echan las cenizas, y allí los quemará con leña.
13 "If the whole community of Israel has sinned inadvertently and, without being aware of it has incurredguilt by doing something forbidden by Yahweh's commandments,	13 Si la que obra inadvertidamente es toda la comunidad de Israel –que sin darse cuenta se hace culpable, cometiendo una falta contra alguna de las prohibiciones contenidas en los mandamientos de Señor–
14 once the sin of which it is guilty has been discovered, the community must offer a young bul , anunblemished animal from the herd, as a sacrifice for sin, and bring it in front of the Tent of Meeting.	14 apenas se conozca el pecado cometido, la asamblea ofrecerá un novillo sin defecto en calidad de sacrificio por el pecado. Lo llevarán ante la Carpa del Encuentro,
15 The elders of the community wil then lay their hands on the bul 's head before Yahweh, and the bulwil be slaughtered before Yahweh.	15 y los ancianos de la comunidad impondrán sus manos sobre la cabeza del novillo, delante del Señor. El novillo será inmolado en la presencia del Señor,
16 "The anointed priest wil then take some of the bul 's blood into the Tent of Meeting.	16 y el sacerdote consagrado por la unción llevará la sangre a la Carpa del Encuentro.
17 He will then dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle it seven times in front of the curtain, beforeYahweh.	17 Luego mojará su dedo en la sangre y con ella hará siete aspersiones delante del Señor, frente al velo del Santuario.
18 He will then put some of the blood on the horns of the altar standing before Yahweh inside the Tent ofMeeting, and then pour al the rest of the blood at the foot of the altar of burnt offerings at the entrance to theTent of Meeting.	18 Después pondrá un poco de esa sangre sobre los cuernos del altar que está delante del Señor, en la Carpa del Encuentro, y derramará toda la sangre sobre la base del altar de los holocaustos, que está a la entrada de la Carpa.
19 "He wil then set aside al the fat from the animal and burn it on the altar.	19 Luego extraerá toda la grasa del novillo y la hará arder sobre el altar,
20 He will then deal with the bul as he did with the bul in the sacrifice for sin. It wil be dealt with in thesame way; and once the priest has performed the rite of expiation for the people, they will be forgiven.	20 haciendo con él lo mismo que hizo con el novillo del sacrificio por el pecado. De esta manera, el sacerdote practicará el rito de expiación en favor de la comunidad, y esta será perdonada.
21 "He wil then have the bul carried out of the camp and wil burn it as he burned the first one. This is thesacrifice for the sin of the community.	21 Finalmente, llevará el novillo fuera del campamento y lo quemará como en el caso anterior: es un sacrificio por el pecado de la asamblea.
22 "When a leader has sinned and inadvertently incurred guilt by doing something forbidden by thecommandments of Yahweh his God	22 Si es un jefe de la comunidad el que peca y se hace culpable, cometiendo inadvertidamente una falta contra alguna de las prohibiciones contenidas en los mandamientos del Señor, su Dios,
23 (or if the sin which he has committed is drawn to his attention), he must bring a he-goat as his offering,an unblemished male.	23 una vez que se le haga conocer el pecado que ha cometido, presentará como ofrenda un chivo sin ningún defecto.
24 He will then lay his hand on the goat's head and slaughter it on the spot where the burnt offerings areslaughtered before Yahweh. This is a sacrifice for sin;	24 Impondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del animal y lo inmolará en el lugar donde se inmolan las víctimas para el holocausto, delante del Señor: es un sacrificio por el pecado.
25 the priest wil take some of the victim's blood on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burntofferings. He will then pour the rest of its blood at the foot of the altar of burnt offerings	25 Luego el sacerdote mojará su dedo en la sangre de la víctima, la pondrá sobre los cuernos del altar de los holocaustos y derramará toda la sangre sobre la base del altar de los holocaustos.
26 and burn al the fat on the altar, as with the fat in the communion sacrifice. This is how the priest mustperform the rite of expiation for him to free him from his sin, and he wil be forgiven.	26 Finalmente, hará arder toda su grasa, como la grasa del sacrificio de comunión. 27 "If one of the country people sins inadvertently and incurs guilt by doing something forbidden byYahweh's commandments	27 Si es una persona del pueblo la que peca inadvertidamente y se ha hecho culpable, cometiendo una falta contra alguna de las prohibiciones contenidas en los mandamientos del Señor,
28 (or if the sin which he has committed is drawn to his attention), he must bring a she-goat as his offeringfor the sin which he has committed, an unblemished female.	28 una vez que se le haga conocer el pecado que ha cometido, presentará como ofrenda por la falta cometida, una cabra hembra y sin defecto.
29 He will then lay his hand on the victim's head and slaughter it on the spot where the burnt offerings areslaughtered.	29 Impondrá su mano sobre la cabeza de la víctima y la inmolará en el lugar del holocausto.
30 The priest wil take some of its blood on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offerings.He will then pour all the rest of the blood at the foot of the altar.	30 Después el sacerdote mojará su dedo en la sangre, la pondrá sobre los cuernos del altar de los holocaustos y derramará el resto de la sangre sobre la base del altar.
31 He will then remove al the fat, as the fat was removed for the communion sacrifice, and the priest wilburn it on the altar as a smell pleasing to Yahweh. This is how the priest must perform the rite of expiation forhim, and he wil be forgiven.	31 Luego quitará toda la grasa de la víctima, como se hace en los sacrificios de comunión, y la hará arder sobre el altar, como aroma agradable al Señor. De esta manera, el sacerdote practicará el rito de expiación en favor de esa persona, y así será perdonada.
32 "If he wishes to bring a lamb as an offering for this kind of sacrifice, he must bring an unblemishedfemale.	32 Si lo que trae como ofrenda por el pecado es un cordero, deberá ser hembra y sin defecto.
33 He will then lay his hand on the victim's head and slaughter it as a sacrifice for sin on the spot wherethe burnt offerings are slaughtered.	33 Impondrá su mano sobre la cabeza de la víctima y la inmolará en el lugar donde se inmolan los holocaustos.
34 The priest wil take some of the victim's blood on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burntofferings. He will then pour al the rest of the blood at the foot of the altar.	34 Luego el sacerdote mojará su dedo en la sangre de la víctima, la pondrá sobre los cuernos del altar de los holocaustos, y derramará toda la sangre sobre la base del altar.
35 He will then remove al the fat, as was done for the sheep in the communion sacrifice, and the priestwil burn it as food burnt for Yahweh. This is how the priest must perform for him the rite of expiation for the sinwhich he has committed, and he wil be forgiven." '	35 Después quitará toda la grasa del animal, como se quita la grasa del cordero en los sacrificios de comunión, y la hará arder sobre el altar, junto con las ofrendas que se queman para el Señor.
