Leviticus 17

1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse
2 'Speak to Aaron and his sons and al the Israelites and say: "This is the order that Yahweh has given:	2 « Parla ad Aronne, ai suoi figli, a tutti i figli d'Israele, e di' loro: Ecco quanto ha comandato il Signore:
3 "Any man of the House of Israel who slaughters a bull, lamb or goat, whether inside the camp oroutside it,	3 l'uomo della casa d'Israele che, ucciso un bue, una pecora, una capra negli accampamenti o fuori di essi,
4 without bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to make an offering of it to Yahweh in front ofhis Dwel ing, that man wil be answerable for bloodshed; he has shed blood, and that man wil be outlawed fromhis people.	4 non l'avrà presentata alla porta del Tabernacolo come oblazione al Signore, sarà reo di sangue, e, come se avesse sparso il sangue, perirà di mezzo al suo popolo,
5 The purpose of this is that the Israelites should instead bring their sacrifices, which they wouldotherwise offer in the countryside, to Yahweh at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, and offer themas communion sacrifices to Yahweh;	5 I figli d'Israele devon quindi presentare al sacerdote le loro vittime, che essi uccidono nei campi, perchè siano consacrate al Signoie dinanzi alla porta del Tabernacolo della testimonianza, e immolate come ostie pacifiche al Signore,
6 and the priest wil sprinkle the blood on Yahweh's altar at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and willburn the fat as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	6 Il sacerdote ne spargerà il sangue sull'altare del Signore alla porta del Tabernacolo della testimonianza, e ne brucerà il grasso in odore soave al Signore.
7 No longer may they offer their sacrifices to the satyrs in whose service they used to prostitutethemselves. This is a perpetual law for them and for their descendants."	7 Essi non immoleranno più le loro vittime ai demoni coi quali hàn fornicato. Questa è una legge eterna per essi e per i loro posteri.
8 'You will also say to them, "Any member of the House of Israel or any resident alien who offers a burntoffering or sacrifice	8 Dirai dunque loro: Qualunque uomo, della casa d'Israele o dei forestieri che soggiornano tra voi, offrirà un olocausto o una vittima,
9 without bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to offer it to Yahweh, will be outlawed from hispeople.	9 senza condurla alla porta del Tabernacolo della testimonianza, affinchè sia offerta al Signore, perirà di mezzo al suo popolo.
10 "If any member of the House of Israel or any resident alien consumes blood of any kind, I shal set myface against that individual who consumes blood and shal outlaw him from his people.	10 Se un uomo della casa d'Israele o dei forestieri che dimorano tra loro, mangerà del sangue, volterò la mia faccia contro la sua anima, e lo sterminerò di mezzo al suo popolo;
11 For the life of the creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you for performing the rite of expiationon the altar for your lives, for blood is what expiates for a life.	11 perchè la vita della carne è nel sangue, ed io ve l'ho dato affinchè facciate con esso delle espiazioni sopra l'altare per le vostre anime, e il sangue serva all'espiazione dell'anima.
12 That is why I told the Israelites: None of you wil consume blood, nor wil any resident alien consumeblood.	12 Ecco perchè ho detto ai figli d'Israele: Nessuno di voi mangerà del sangue, e nemmeno il forestiero che dimora tra voi.
13 "Anyone, whether Israelite or resident alien, who hunts and catches game, whether animal or bird,which it is lawful to eat, must pour out its blood and cover it with earth.	13 Se alcuno dei figli d'Israele o dei forestieri che abitan tra voi, prende alla caccia o alla rete una bestia o un uccello di cui è lecito mangiare, ne sparga il sangue e lo copra colla terra;
14 For the life of every creature is its blood, and I have told the Israelites: You wil not consume theblood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood, and anyone who consumes it wil be outlawed.	14 perché la vita di ogni animale è nel sangue. Ho detto ai figli d'Israele: Non mangerete il sangue di nessun animale; perchè la vita dei viventi è nel sangue: chi ne mangia perirà.
15 "Anyone, citizen or alien, who eats an animal that has died a natural death or been savaged, mustwash clothing and body, and wil be unclean until evening, but wil then be clean.	15 Qualunque persona, indigeno o forestiero che sia, mangerà d'un animale morto da sè o lacerato da fiera, si laverà le vesti e laverà se stessa nell'acqua, e sarà immonda fino alla sera, poi sarà monda.
16 But anyone who does not wash clothing and body wil bear the consequences of his guilt." '	16 Ma se non lava le sue vesti e il suo corpo, porterà la sua iniquità ».
