Leviticus 17

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 - Ed il Signore parlando a Mosè gli disse:
2 'Speak to Aaron and his sons and al the Israelites and say: "This is the order that Yahweh has given:	2 «Parla ad Aronne ed a' suoi figli, ed a tutti i figli di Israele, e di' loro: - Il Signore mi ha dato quest'ordine e m'ha detto:
3 "Any man of the House of Israel who slaughters a bull, lamb or goat, whether inside the camp oroutside it,	3 "Chiunque della casa di Israele abbia ucciso un bove o una pecora o una capra, nel campo o fuori del campo,
4 without bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to make an offering of it to Yahweh in front ofhis Dwel ing, that man wil be answerable for bloodshed; he has shed blood, and that man wil be outlawed fromhis people.	4 e non l'abbia presentata all'ingresso del tabernacolo in oblazione al Signore, sarà reo di sangue, e verrà radiato di fra il suo popolo come se avesse versato del sangue.
5 The purpose of this is that the Israelites should instead bring their sacrifices, which they wouldotherwise offer in the countryside, to Yahweh at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, and offer themas communion sacrifices to Yahweh;	5 Pertanto i figli di Israele debbono presentare al sacerdote gli animali da loro uccisi alla campagna, acciò siano consacrati al Signore all'ingresso del tabernacolo della testimonianza, ed immolati come ostie pacifiche al Signore.
6 and the priest wil sprinkle the blood on Yahweh's altar at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and willburn the fat as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	6 Il Sacerdote ne verserà il sangue sopra l'altare del Signore all'ingresso del tabernacolo della testimonianza, e ne brucerà il grasso in odore di soavità al Signore.
7 No longer may they offer their sacrifices to the satyrs in whose service they used to prostitutethemselves. This is a perpetual law for them and for their descendants."	7 Così non offriranno più le loro vittime ai demoni co' quali avevano fornicato. Sarà questa una legge perpetua per loro, e pei loro discendenti". -
8 'You will also say to them, "Any member of the House of Israel or any resident alien who offers a burntoffering or sacrifice	8 E ad essi dirai: - Chiunque del popolo d'Israele, o dei forestieri dimoranti presso di voi, offrirà un olocausto o una vittima,
9 without bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to offer it to Yahweh, will be outlawed from hispeople.	9 e non la presenterà all'ingresso del tabernacolo della testimonianza acciò sia offerta al Signore, perirà di fra il popolo.
10 "If any member of the House of Israel or any resident alien consumes blood of any kind, I shal set myface against that individual who consumes blood and shal outlaw him from his people.	10 Qualunque uomo della casa di Israele, o dei forestieri che in essa si ritrovano, il quale si sia cibato di sangue, io lo guarderò con inimicizia, e lo sterminerò dal suo popolo.
11 For the life of the creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you for performing the rite of expiationon the altar for your lives, for blood is what expiates for a life.	11 Perchè la vita d'un animale sta nel suo sangue; io ve l'ho dato, il sangue, acciò con esso facciate espiazione sopra l'altare per le vostre anime, e sia in rimedio dell'anima.
12 That is why I told the Israelites: None of you wil consume blood, nor wil any resident alien consumeblood.	12 Perciò ho detto ai figli d'Israele: "Nessuno di voi mangerà sangue, e nemmeno alcuno de' forestieri che si trovano fra voi".
13 "Anyone, whether Israelite or resident alien, who hunts and catches game, whether animal or bird,which it is lawful to eat, must pour out its blood and cover it with earth.	13 Ognuno de' figli d'Israele, e dei forestieri che si trovano in mezzo a voi, il quale abbia preso a caccia o con le reti una bestia o un uccello di quelli de' quali è lecito cibarsi, ne faccia uscire il sangue e lo cuopra di terra.
14 For the life of every creature is its blood, and I have told the Israelites: You wil not consume theblood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood, and anyone who consumes it wil be outlawed.	14 Perchè la vita d'ogni animale sta nel sangue; laonde ho detto ai figli di Israele: "Non mangiate il sangue di nessun animale, perchè nel sangue risiede la vita dei viventi, e chiunque ne mangia perirà.
15 "Anyone, citizen or alien, who eats an animal that has died a natural death or been savaged, mustwash clothing and body, and wil be unclean until evening, but wil then be clean.	15 La persona che avrà mangiato un animale morto da sè o ucciso da una fiera, tanto della vostra nazione quanto dei forestieri, si laverà le vesti ed il corpo nell'acqua, e rimarrà immondo sino alla sera; poi ritornerà mondo.
16 But anyone who does not wash clothing and body wil bear the consequences of his guilt." '	16 Ma se non si laverà le vesti ed il corpo, pagherà il fio della sua iniquità" -».
