Isaiah 66

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Thus says Yahweh: With heaven my throne and earth my footstool, what house could you build me,what place for me to rest,	1 Así habla el Señor: El cielo es mi trono y la tierra, el estrado de mis pies. ¿Qué casa podrán edificarme ustedes y dónde estará el lugar de mi reposo?
2 when al these things were made by me and al belong to me? - declares Yahweh. But my eyes aredrawn to the person of humbled and contrite spirit, who trembles at my word.	2 Todo esto lo hizo mi mano y todo me pertenece –oráculo del Señor–. Aquel hacia quien vuelvo la mirada es el pobre, de espíritu acongojado, que se estremece ante mis palabras.
3 Some slaughter a bul , some kill a human being, some sacrifice a lamb, some strangle a dog, somepresent an offering of pig's blood, some burn memorial incense, a revolting blessing; al these people havechosen their own ways and take delight in their disgusting practices.	3 Se inmola un buey, y se mata a un hombre, se sacrifica un cordero, y se desnuca un perro, se presenta una oblación, y se ofrece sangre de cerdo, se quema un memorial de incienso, y se bendice una iniquidad. Porque ellos han elegido sus propios caminos y se complacen en sus ídolos,
4 I too take delight in making fools of them, I shal bring what they most fear down on them because Ihave called and no one would answer, I spoke and no one listened. They have done what I regard as evil, havechosen what displeases me.	4 también yo elegiré sus desgracias y les enviaré lo que más temen. Yo llamé, y nadie respondió, hablé, y ellos no escucharon, sino que hicieron lo que me desagrada y eligieron lo que yo no quiero.
5 Listen to the word of Yahweh, you who tremble at his word. Your brothers, who hate and reject youbecause of my name, have said, 'Let Yahweh show his glory, let us witness your joy!' But they will be put toshame.	5 ¡Escuchen la palabra del Señor, ustedes que se estremecen ante su palabra! Dicen sus hermanos, los que tienen odio contra ustedes y los rechazan a causa de mi Nombre: «Que el Señor manifieste su gloria, así veremos la alegría de ustedes». Pero son ellos los que se avergonzarán.
6 Listen! An uproar from the city! A voice from the Temple! The voice of Yahweh bringing retribution onhis enemies.	6 Una voz retumba desde la ciudad, una voz sale del Templo: es la voz del Señor que retribuye a sus enemigos.
7 Before being in labour she has given birth. Before the birth pangs came, she has been delivered of achild.	7 Antes de las contracciones, ella dio a luz; antes de que le llegaran los dolores, dio a luz un hijo varón.
8 Who ever heard of such a thing, who ever saw anything like this? Can a country be born in one day?Can a nation be brought forth al at once? For Zion, scarcely in labour, has brought forth her children!	8 ¿Quién oyó jamás algo semejante, quién ha visto una cosa igual? ¿Se da a luz un país en un solo día? ¿Se hace nacer una nación de una sola vez? Pero Sión, apenas sintió los dolores, ha dado a luz a sus hijos.
9 Shal I open the womb and not bring to birth? says Yahweh. Shall I, who bring to birth, close the womb?says your God.	9 ¿Acaso yo abriré la matriz y no haré dar a luz?, dice el Señor ¿Acaso la voy a cerrar, yo que hago nacer?, dice tu Dios.
10 Rejoice with Jerusalem, be glad for her, al you who love her! Rejoice, rejoice with her, al you whomourned her!	10 ¡Alégrense con Jerusalén y regocíjense a causa de ella, todos los que la aman! ¡Compartan su mismo gozo los que estaban de duelo por ella,
11 So that you may be suckled and satisfied from her consoling breast, so that you may drink deep withdelight from her generous nipple.	11 para ser amamantados y saciarse en sus pechos consoladores, para gustar las delicias de sus senos gloriosos!
12 For Yahweh says this: Look, I am going to send peace flowing over her like a river, and like a streamin spate the glory of the nations. You wil be suckled, carried on her hip and fondled in her lap.	12 Porque así habla el Señor: Yo haré correr hacia ella la prosperidad como un río, y la riqueza de las naciones como un torrente que se desborda. Sus niños de pecho serán llevados en brazos y acariciados sobre las rodillas.
13 As a mother comforts a child, so I shal comfort you; you wil be comforted in Jerusalem.	13 Como un hombre es consolado por su madre, así yo los consolaré a ustedes, y ustedes serán consolados en Jerusalén.
14 At the sight your heart wil rejoice, and your limbs regain vigour like the grass. To his servants Yahwehwil reveal his hand, but to his enemies his fury.	14 Al ver esto, se llenarán de gozo, y sus huesos florecerán como la hierba. La mano del Señor se manifestará a sus servidores, y a sus enemigos, su indignación.
15 For see how Yahweh comes in fire, his chariots like the whirlwind, to assuage his anger with burning,his rebukes with flaming fire.	15 Porque ya viene el Señor en medio del fuego –sus carros son como un torbellino– para descargar su ira con furor y sus amenazas con las llamas del fuego.
16 For by fire wil Yahweh execute fair judgement, and by his sword, on all people; and Yahweh's victimswil be many.	16 Porque el Señor entra en juicio con todos los vivientes por el fuego y por su espada, y serán numerosas las víctimas del Señor.
17 As for those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves to enter the gardens, fol owing the one inthe centre, who eat the flesh of pigs, revolting things and rats: their deeds and their thoughts will perish together,declares Yahweh.	17 Los que santifican y se purifican para entrar en los jardines, detrás de uno que va en el medio; los que comen carne de cerdo, animales inmundos y ratas, serán aniquilados todos juntos –oráculo del Señor– con sus obras y sus pensamientos.
18 I am coming to gather every nation and every language. They wil come to witness my glory.	18 Entonces, yo mismo vendré a reunir a todas las naciones y a todas las lenguas, y ellas vendrán y verán mi gloria.
19 I shal give them a sign and send some of their survivors to the nations: to Tarshish, Put, Lud,Meshech, Tubal and Javan, to the distant coasts and islands that have never heard of me or seen my glory.They wil proclaim my glory to the nations,	19 Yo les daré una señal, y a algunos de sus sobrevivientes los enviaré a las naciones: a Tarsis, Put, Lud, Mésec, Ros, Tubal y Javán, a las costas lejanas que no han oído hablar de mí ni han visto mi gloria. Y ellos anunciarán mi gloria a las naciones.
20 and from al the nations they wil bring al your brothers as an offering to Yahweh, on horses, inchariots, in litters, on mules and on camels, to my holy mountain, Jerusalem, Yahweh says, like Israelitesbringing offerings in clean vessels to Yahweh's house.	20 Ellos traerán a todos los hermanos de ustedes, como una ofrenda al Señor, hasta mi Montaña santa de Jerusalén. Los traerán en caballos, carros y literas, a lomo de mulas o en dromedarios –dice el Señor– como los israelitas llevan la ofrenda a la Casa del Señor en un recipiente puro.
21 And some of them I shal make into priests and Levites, Yahweh says.	21 Y también de entre ellos tomaré sacerdotes y levitas, dice el Señor.
22 For as the new heavens and the new earth I am making wil endure before me, declares Yahweh, sowil your race and your name endure.	22 Porque así como permanecen delante de mí el cielo nuevo y la tierra nueva que yo haré –oráculo del Señor–, así permanecerán la raza y el nombre de ustedes.
23 From New Moon to New Moon, from Sabbath to Sabbath, al humanity wil come and bow in mypresence, Yahweh says.	23 De luna nueva en luna nueva y de sábado en sábado, todos vendrán a postrarse delante de mí, dice el Señor.
24 And on their way out they wil see the corpses of those who rebelled against me; for their worm wilnever die nor their fire be put out, and they wil be held in horror by al humanity.	24 Y al salir, se verán los despojos de los hombres que se han rebelado contra mi, porque su gusano no morirá, su fuego no se extinguirá y serán algo horrible para todos los vivientes.
