Isaiah 35

NEW JERUSALEM	GREEK BIBLE
1 Let the desert and the dry lands be glad, let the wasteland rejoice and bloom; like the asphodel,	1 Η ερημος και η ανυδρος θελουσιν ευφρανθη δι' αυτα, και η ερημια θελει αγαλλιασθη και ανθησει ως ροδον.
2 let it burst into flower, let it rejoice and sing for joy. The glory of Lebanon is bestowed on it, thesplendour of Carmel and Sharon; then they wil see the glory of Yahweh, the splendour of our God.	2 Θελει ανθησει εν αφθονια και αγαλλιασθη μαλιστα χαιρουσα και αλαλαζουσα? η δοξα του Λιβανου θελει δοθη εις αυτην, η τιμη του Καρμηλου και Σαρων? οι τοποι ουτοι θελουσιν ιδει την δοξαν του Κυριου και την μεγαλωσυνην του Θεου ημων.
3 Strengthen al weary hands, steady al trembling knees	3 Ενισχυσατε τας κεχαυνωμενας χειρας? και στερεωσατε τα παραλελυμενα γονατα.
4 and say to the faint-hearted, 'Be strong! Do not be afraid. Here is your God, vengeance is coming,divine retribution; he is coming to save you.'	4 Ειπατε προς τους πεφοβισμενους την καρδιαν, Ισχυσατε, μη φοβεισθε? ιδου, ο Θεος σας θελει ελθει μετ' εκδικησεως, ο Θεος μετα ανταποδοσεως? αυτος θελει ελθει και θελει σας σωσει.
5 Then the eyes of the blind wil be opened, the ears of the deaf unsealed,	5 Τοτε οι οφθαλμοι των τυφλων θελουσιν ανοιχθη και τα ωτα των κωφων θελουσιν ακουσει.
6 then the lame will leap like a deer and the tongue of the dumb sing for joy; for water wil gush in thedesert and streams in the wastelands,	6 Τοτε ο χωλος θελει πηδα ως ελαφος και η γλωσσα του μογιλαλου θελει ψαλλει? διοτι εν τη ερημω θελουσιν αναβλυσει υδατα και ρευματα εν τη ερημια.
7 the parched ground wil become a marsh and the thirsty land springs of water; the lairs where thejackals used to live wil become plots of reed and papyrus.	7 Και η ξηρα γη θελει κατασταθη λιμνη και η διψωσα γη πηγαι υδατος? εν τη κατοικια των θωων, οπου εκοιτοντο, θελει εισθαι χλοη μετα καλαμων και σπαρτων.
8 And through it wil run a road for them and a highway which will be cal ed the Sacred Way; the uncleanwil not be al owed to use it; He wil be the one to use this road, the fool will not stray along it.	8 Και εκει θελει εισθαι λεωφορος και οδος και θελει ονομασθη, Οδος αγια? ο ακαθαρτος δεν θελει περασει δι' αυτης αλλα θελει εισθαι δι' αυτους ο οδευων και οι μωροι δεν θελουσι πλανασθαι.
9 No lion wil be there, no ferocious beast set foot on it, nothing of the sort be found; it will be used by theredeemed.	9 Λεων δεν θελει εισθαι εκει και θηριον αρπακτικον δεν θελει αναβη εκει? δεν θελει ευρεθη εκει? αλλα οι λελυτρωμενοι θελουσι περιπατει εκει.
10 For those whom Yahweh has ransomed wil return, they will come to Zion shouting for joy, their headscrowned with joy unending; rejoicing and gladness wil escort them and sorrow and sighing wil take flight.	10 Και οι λελυτρωμενοι του Κυριου θελουσιν επιστρεψει και ελθει εν αλαλαγμω εις την Σιων? και ευφροσυνη αιωνιος θελει εισθαι επι της κεφαλης αυτων? αγαλλιασιν και ευφροσυνην θελουσιν απολαυσει? η λυπη δε και ο στεναγμος θελουσι φυγει.
