1 [For the choirmaster Of David In commemoration] Be pleased, God, to rescue me, Yahweh, comequickly and help me!	1 Salmo di Davide, da rammemorare; dato al capo de’ Musici O DIO, affrettati a liberarmi; O Signore, affrettati in mio aiuto.
2 Shame and dismay to those who seek my life! Back with them! Let them be humiliated who delight inmy misfortunes.	2 Quelli che cercano l’anima mia sien confusi e svergognati; Quelli che prendono piacere nel mio male voltin le spalle, E sieno svergognati.
3 Let them shrink away covered with shame, those who say to me, 'Aha, aha!'	3 Quelli che dicono: Eia, eia! Voltin le spalle, per ricompensa del vituperio che mi fanno.
4 But joy and happiness in you to al who seek you. Let them ceaselessly cry, 'God is great', who loveyour saving power.	4 Rallegrinsi, e gioiscano in te Tutti quelli che ti cercano; E quelli che amano la tua salute Dicano del continuo: Magnificato sia Iddio.
5 Poor and needy as I am, God, come quickly to me! Yahweh, my helper, my Saviour, do not delay!	5 Ora, quant’è a me, io son povero e bisognoso; O Dio, affrettati a venire a me; Tu sei il mio aiuto, ed il mio liberatore; O Signore, non tardare
