Exodus 7

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Look, I have made you as a god for Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron is tobe your prophet.	1 E il Signore disse a Mosè: Vedi, io ti ho costituito per essere in luogo di Dio a Faraone; ed Aaronne, tuo fratello, sarà tuo profeta.
2 You must say whatever I command you, and your brother Aaron wil repeat to Pharaoh that he is to letthe Israelites leave his country.	2 Tu dirai tutte le cose che io ti avrò comandate; e parli Aaronne, tuo fratello, a Faraone, acciocchè lasci andar dal suo paese i figliuoli d’Israele.
3 But I myself shal make Pharaoh stubborn and shall perform many a sign and wonder in Egypt.	3 Ma io indurerò il cuor di Faraone; e moltiplicherò i miei segni ed i miei prodigi nel paese di Egitto.
4 Since Pharaoh wil not listen to you, I shal lay my hand on Egypt and with great acts of judgement leadmy armies, my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.	4 E pur ancora Faraone non vi porgerà orecchio; ma io metterò la mia mano in sul paese di Egitto e trarrò fuor del paese di Egitto le mie schiere, il mio popolo, i figliuoli d’Israele, con grandi giudicii.
5 And the Egyptians wil know that I am Yahweh when I stretch out my hand against the Egyptians andlead the Israelites out of their country.'	5 E gli Egizj conosceranno che io sono il Signore, quando avrò stesa la mia mano in su l’Egitto, e avrò tratti fuori d’infra loro i figliuoli d’Israele.
6 Moses and Aaron did exactly as Yahweh had ordered.	6 E Mosè ed Aaronne fecero così; essi fecero intieramente come il Signore avea lor comandato.
7 Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three, when they spoke to Pharaoh.	7 Ora, Mosè era d’età di ottant’anni, e Aaronne di ottantatrè anni, quando parlarono a Faraone
8 Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron,	8 E il Signore parlò a Mosè e ad Aaronne, dicendo:
9 'If Pharaoh says to you, "Display some marvel," you must say to Aaron, "Take your staff and throw itdown in front of Pharaoh, and let it turn into a serpent!" '	9 Quando Faraone parlerà a voi, e vi dirà: Fate un prodigio; tu Mosè, di’ ad Aaronne: Prendi la tua bacchetta, e gittala davanti a Faraone; ed ella diverrà un serpente.
10 Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did as Yahweh had ordered. Aaron threw down his staff infront of Pharaoh and his officials, and it turned into a serpent.	10 Mosè adunque ed Aaronne vennero a Faraone, e fecero come il Signore avea comandato. Ed Aaronne gittò la sua bacchetta davanti a Faraone, e davanti ai suoi servitori; ed ella divenne un serpente.
11 Then Pharaoh in his turn called for the sages and sorcerers, and by their spells the magicians of Egyptdid the same.	11 Allora Faraone chiamò eziandio i savi e gl’incantatori. E i Magi di Egitto fecero anch’essi il simigliante co’ loro incantesimi.
12 Each threw his staff down and these turned into serpents. But Aaron's staff swal owed up theirs.	12 E ciascun d’essi gittò la sua bacchetta, ed esse divennero serpenti; ma la bacchetta di Aaronne tranghiottì le lor bacchette.
13 Pharaoh, however, remained obstinate and, as Yahweh had foretold, refused to listen to Moses andAaron.	13 E il cuore di Faraone s’indurò, e non porse orecchio a Mosè e ad Aaronne; secondo che il Signore ne avea parlato
14 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Pharaoh is adamant. He refuses to let the people go.	14 E IL Signore disse a Mosè: Il cuor di Faraone è aggravato; egli ricusa di lasciare andare il popolo.
15 Go to Pharaoh tomorrow morning as he makes his way to the water, confront him on the river bankand in your hand take the staff that turned into a snake.	15 Va’ questa mattina a Faraone; ecco egli uscirà fuori verso l’acqua, e presentati innanzi a lui in su la riva del fiume, e prendi in mano la bacchetta ch’è stata cangiata in serpente.
16 Say to him, "Yahweh, God of the Hebrews, sent me to say: Let my people go and worship in thedesert. Up til now, you have refused to listen.	16 E digli: Il Signore Iddio degli Ebrei mi avea mandato a te, dicendo: Lascia andare il mio popolo, acciocchè mi serva nel deserto; ed ecco, fino a qui tu non hai ubbidito.
17 This is what Yahweh says: You wil know that I am Yahweh by this: with the staff that is in my hand Ishall strike the waters of the River and they wil turn to blood.	17 Così ha detto il Signore: Da questo conoscerai che io sono il Signore: ecco, io darò una percossa con la bacchetta che io ho in mano, in su le acque che son nel fiume, ed esse saranno cangiate in sangue.
18 The fish in the river wil die, and the River wil stink, and the Egyptians will not be able to drink the riverwater." '	18 E il pesce che è nel fiume morrà, e il fiume putirà; e gli Egizj si stancheranno per bere dell’acqua del fiume.
19 Yahweh said to Moses, 'Say to Aaron, "Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters ofEgypt -- over their rivers and canals, their marshland, and all their reservoirs -- and they wil turn to blood. Therewil be blood throughout the whole of Egypt, even in sticks and stones." '	19 E il Signore disse a Mosè: Di’ ad Aaronne: Prendi la tua bacchetta, e stendi la tua mano sopra le acque degli Egizj, sopra i lor fiumi, sopra i lor rivi, sopra i loro stagni, e sopra ogni raccolta delle loro acque; ed esse diverranno sangue; e vi sarà sangue per tutto il paese di Egitto, eziandio ne’ vasi di legno e di pietra.
20 Moses and Aaron did as Yahweh ordered. He raised his staff and struck the waters of the River, withPharaoh and his officials looking on, and al the water in the River turned to blood.	20 E Mosè ed Aaronne fecero come il Signore avea comandato; e Aaronne alzò la bacchetta, e ne percosse le acque ch’erano nel fiume, nel cospetto di Faraone, e nel cospetto dei suoi servitori; e tutte le acque, ch’erano nel fiume, furono cangiate in sangue.
21 The fish in the River died, and the River stank; and the Egyptians could no longer drink the Riverwater. Throughout the whole of Egypt there was blood.	21 E il pesce, ch’era nel fiume, morì, e il fiume putì, talchè gli Egizj non potevano ber delle acque del fiume: e vi fu sangue per tutto il paese di Egitto.
22 But by their spel s the magicians of Egypt did the same; Pharaoh remained obstinate and, as Yahwehhad foretold, refused to listen to Moses and Aaron.	22 E i magi di Egitto fecero il simigliante co’ loro incantesimi; e il cuor di Faraone s’indurò, e non porse orecchio a Mosè e ad Aaronne, come il Signore ne avea parlato.
23 Pharaoh turned away and went back into his palace, taking no notice even of this.	23 E Faraone, rivoltosi indietro, se ne venne in casa sua; e non pure a questo pose mente.
24 And the Egyptians al dug holes along the river-bank in search of drinking water, since they could notdrink the River water.	24 E tutti gli Egizj, cavando intorno al fiume, cercavano acqua da bere; conciossiachè non potessero ber delle acque del fiume.
25 After Yahweh struck the River, seven days went by.	25 E sette giorni intieri passarono, dopo che il Signore ebbe percosso il fiume
26 Then Yahweh said to Moses, 'Go to Pharaoh and say to him, "Yahweh says this: Let my people goand worship me.
27 If you refuse to let them go, I shal strike your whole territory with frogs.
28 The River wil swarm with frogs; they wil make their way into your palace, into your bedroom, ontoyour bed, into the houses of your officials and subjects, into your ovens, into your kneading bowls.
29 The frogs wil actual y clamber onto you, onto your subjects and onto all your officials." '
