Tobit 9

NEW JERUSALEM	NOVA VULGATA
1 Then Tobias turned to Raphael.	1 Tunc accersivit Thobias Ra phael et dixit illi:
2 'Brother Azarias,' he said, 'take four servants and two camels and leave for Rhages.	2 “ Azaria fra ter,adsume tecum hinc servos quattuor et camelos duos et perveni in Rages et vade adGabael et da illi chirographum et recipe pecuniam et adduc illum tecum adnuptias.
3 Go to Gabael's house, give him the receipt and see about the money; then invite him to come with youto my wedding feast.	3 Scis enim quoniam numerat dies pater et, si tardavero diem unum,contristabo eum valde.
4 You know that my father must be counting the days and that I cannot lose a single one without worryinghim.	4 Sed vides quomodo Raguel iuraverit, cuius iuramentumspernere non possum ”.
5 You see what Raguel has pledged himself to do; I am bound by his oath.' So Raphael left for Rhages inMedia with the four servants and two camels. They stayed with Gabael, and Raphael showed him the receipt.He told him about the marriage of Tobias son of Tobit and gave him his invitation to the wedding feast. Gabaelstarted counting out the sacks to him -- the seals were intact -- and they loaded them on to the camels.	5 Et abiit Raphael et quattuor pueri et duo cameli inRages Mediae, et manserunt penes Gabael, et dedit illi Raphael chirographum eiuset indicavit illi de Thobia filio Thobis quoniam accepit uxorem filiam Raguel etquia rogat illum ad nuptias. Et surrexit Gabael et protulit folles cum sigillissuis et numeravit pecuniam et composuit supra camelos.
6 Early in the morning they set off together for the feast, and reached Raguel's house where they foundTobias dining. He rose to greet Gabael, who burst into tears and blessed him with the words, 'Excellent son of afather beyond reproach, just and generous in his dealings! The Lord give heaven's blessing to you, to your wife,to your wife's father and mother! Blessed be God for granting me the sight of this living image of my cousinTobit!'	6 Et vigilaverunt simulet venerunt ad nuptias et intraverunt in ea, quae Raguel, et invenerunt Thobiamdiscumbentem. Et exsiliit et salutavit illum et lacrimatus est et benedixit eumet dixit illi Gabael: “ Benedictus Dominus, qui dedit tibi pacem, quoniam boniet optimi et iusti viri et eleemosynas facientis filius es! Det tibibenedictionem Dominus caeli et uxori tuae et patri tuo et matri tuae et patri etmatri uxoris tuae. Et benedictus Deus, quoniam video Thobiam consobrinum meumsimilem illi! ”.
