Nehemiah 12

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 These are the priests and the Levites who came back with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua:	1 Estos son los sacerdotes y los levitas que subieron con Zorobabel, hijo de Sealtiel, y con Josué: Seraías, Jeremías, Esdras,
2 Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,	2 Amarías, Malluk, Hattús,
3 Amariah, Mal uch, Hattush, Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,	3 Sekanías, Rejum, Meremot,
4 Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah,	4 Iddó, Guinnetón, Abías,
5 Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,	5 Miyyamín, Maadías, Bilgá,
6 Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah,	6 Semaías; además: Yoyarib, Yedaías,
7 Sal u, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah -- these were the heads of the priests and their kinsmen in the days ofJeshua.	7 Sallú, Amoq, Jilquías, Yedaías.
8 The Levites were Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, Mattaniah -- this last, with his brothers,was in charge of the songs of praise,	8 Levitas: Josué, Binnuy, Cadmiel, Serebías, Judá, Mattanías - que dirigía con sus hermanos los himnos de acción de gracias,
9 while Bakbukiah and Unno, their col eagues, formed the alternate choir to theirs.	9 y Baqbuquías, Unní y sus hermanos les hacían coro en sus ministerios. (*Nehemías 12:7-b) Estos eran los jefes de los sacerdotes y de sus hermanos, en tiempo de Josué.
10 Jeshua fathered Joiakim, Joiakim fathered Eliashib, Eliashib fathered Joiada,	10 Josué engendró a Yoyaquim; Yoyaquim engendró a Elyasib; Elyasib engendró a Yoyadá;
11 Joiada fathered Johanan, and Johanan fathered Jaddua.	11 Yoyadá engendró a Yojanán, y Yojanán engendró a Yaddúa.
12 In the days of Joiakim the heads of the priestly families were: family of Seraiah, Meraiah; ofJeremiah, Hananiah;	12 En los días de Yoyaquim los sacerdotes cabezas de familia eran: de la familia de Seraías: Meraías; de la familia de Jeremías: Jananías;

22 In the time of Eliashib, Joiada, Johanan and Jaddua, the heads of the families of priests wereregistered in the Book of Chronicles, up to the reign of Darius the Persian.	22 En tiempo de Elyasib, Yoyadá, Yojanán y Yaddúa, los cabezas de familias sacerdotales fueron registrados en el libro de las Crónicas, hasta el reinado de Darío el persa.
23 The Levites who were heads of families were registered in the Book of Chronicles up to the time ofJohanan, grandson of Eliashib.	23 Los hijos de Leví: Los cabezas de familia fueron registrados en el libro de las Crónicas, hasta el tiempo de Yojanán, nieto de Elyasib.
24 The heads of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, while their brotherswho formed an alternate choir for the hymns of praise and thanksgiving, as David, man of God, had prescribed,section corresponding to section,	24 Los jefes de los levitas eran: Jasabías, Serebías, Josué, Binnuy, Cadmiel; y sus hermanos, frente por frente para ejecutar los himnos de alabanza y de acción de gracias, conforme a las instrucciones de David, hombre de Dios, en grupos alternos,
25 were Mattaniah, Bakbukiah and Obadiah. Meshul am, Talmon and Akkub were the gatekeepersguarding the stores at the gates.	25 eran: Mattanías, Baqbuquías, y Abdías. Y Mesullam, Talmón y Aqcub, porteros, montaban la guardia en los almacenes junto a las puertas.
26 These lived in the days of Joiakim son of Jeshua, son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah thegovernor and of Ezra the priest-scribe.	26 Estos vivían en tiempo de Yoyaquim, hijo de Josué, hijo de Yosadaq, y en tiempo de Nehemías, el gobernador, y de Esdras, el sacerdote - escriba.
27 At the dedication of the wal of Jerusalem the Levites were sent for, wherever they lived, to come toJerusalem and joyful y perform the dedication with hymns of thanksgiving and songs to the accompaniment ofcymbals, lyres and harps.	27 Cuando la dedicación de la muralla de Jerusalén, se buscó a los levitas por todos los lugares para traerlos a Jerusalén, con el fin de celebrar la dedicación con alegría, con cánticos de acción de gracias y música de címbalos, salterios y cítaras.

31 I then made the leaders of Judah come on to the top of the wall and appointed two large choirs. 35 of the priests, with trumpets; then Zechariah son of Jonathan, son of Shemaiah, son of Mattaniah,son of Micaiah, son of Zaccur, son of Asaph,	35 elegidos entre los sacerdotes y provistos de trompetas; y Zacarías, hijo de Jonatán, hijo de Semaías, hijo de Mattanías, hijo de Miká, hijo de Zakkur, hijo de Asaf,
36 with his kinsmen, Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Juda, Hanani, with the musicalinstruments of David, man of God. The scribe Ezra walked at their head.	36 con sus hermanos, Semaías, Azarel, Milalay, Guilalay, Maay, Natanael, Judá, Jananí, con los instrumentos músicos de David, hombre de Dios. 37 At the Fountain Gate they went straight on up the steps of the City of David, along the top of therampart by the stairway of the wal , above the Palace of David as far as the Water Gate, on the east.	37 A la altura de la puerta de la Fuente, subieron a derecho por la escalera de la Ciudad de David, por encima de la muralla, y por la subida de la Casa de David, hasta la puerta del Agua, al Oriente.
38 The other choir made its way to the left; I and half the leaders of the people fol owed them along thetop of the wal from the Tower of the Furnaces to the Broad Wall,	38 El segundo coro marchaba por la izquierda; yo iba detrás, con la mitad de los jefes del pueblo, por encima de la muralla, pasando por la torre de los Hornos, hasta la muralla de la Plaza,
39 from the Ephraim Gate, the Fish Gate, the Tower of Hananel and the Tower of the Hundred as far asthe Sheep Gate, and they came to a halt at the Prison Gate.	39 por encima de la puerta de Efraím, la puerta de los Peces, la torre de Jananel, hasta la puerta de las Ovejas; se hizo alto en la puerta de la Prisión.
40 The two choirs then took their places in the Temple of God. But I had half the magistrates with me	40 Luego los dos corros se colocaron en la Casa de Dios. - Tenía yo a mi lado a la mitad de los consejeros,
41 as wel as the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah with thetrumpets,	41 y a los sacerdotes Elyaquim, Maaseías, Minyamín, Miká, Elyoenay, Zacarías, Jananías, con trompetas,
42 and Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam and Ezer. The singers sangloudly under the direction of Jezrahiah.	42 y Maaseías, Semaías, Eleazar, Uzzí, Yehojanán, Malkiyías, Elam y Ezer -. Los cantores entonaron su canto bajo la dirección de Yizrajías.
43 There were great sacrifices offered that day and the people rejoiced, God having given them goodcause for rejoicing; the women and children rejoiced too, and the joy of Jerusalem could be heard from far away.	43 Se ofrecieron aquel día grandes sacrificios y la gente se entregó a la algazara, pues Dios les había concedido un gran gozo; también se regocijaron las mujeres y los niños. Y el alborozo de Jerusalén se oía desde lejos.
44 For the rooms intended for the treasures, contributions, first-fruits and tithes, supervisors were thenappointed whose business it was to col ect in them those portions from the town lands awarded by the Law tothe priests and Levites. For Judah rejoiced in the officiating priests and Levites,	44 En aquel tiempo se puso al frente de los aposentos destinados para almacenes de las ofrendas reservadas, de las primicias y de los diezmos, a hombres que recogiesen en ellos, del territorio de las ciudades, las porciones que la Ley otorga a los sacerdotes y a los levitas. Pues Judá se complacía en ver a los sacerdotes y levitas en sus funciones.
45 since they -- with the singers and gatekeepers -- performed the liturgy of their God and the rites of purification as ordained by David and his son Solomon.	45 Ellos cumplían el ministerio de su Dios y el ministerio de las purificaciones, junto con los cantores y los porteros, conforme a lo mandado por David y su hijo Salomón.
46 For from ancient times, from the days of David and Asaph, they had been the leaders in renderinghymns of praise and thanksgiving to God.	46 Pues ya desde un principio, desde los días de David y de Asaf, había jefes de cantores y cánticos de alabanza y acción de gracias a Dios.
47 In the days of Zerubbabel and Nehemiah, al Israel supplied regular daily portions for the singers andgatekeepers, and gave the dedicated contributions to the Levites; and the Levites gave the dedicatedcontributions to the Aaronites.	47 Y todo Israel, en tiempo de Zorobabel y en tiempo de Nehemías, daba a los cantores y a los porteros las raciones correspondientes a cada día. A los levitas se les entregaban las cosas sagradas, y los levitas entregaban su parte a los hijos de Aarón.
