Nehemiah 11

NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 Now the leaders of the people took up residence in Jerusalem; so the rest of the people drew lots: oneman in ten was to come and live in Jerusalem, the holy city, while the other nine were to stay in the townsoutside.	1 Alors les chefs du peuple s'établirent à Jérusalem. Le reste du peuple tira au sort pour qu'unhomme sur dix vînt résider à Jérusalem, la Ville sainte, tandis que les neuf autres resteraient dans les villes.
2 The people praised al those who volunteered to live in Jerusalem.	2 Et le peuple bénit tous les hommes qui furent volontaires pour résider à Jérusalem.
3 In the towns of Judah each man lived on his own property, but these are the provincial leaders, theIsraelites, the priests, the Levites, the temple slaves and the descendants of Solomon's slaves, who made theirhomes in Jerusalem:	3 Voici les chefs de la province qui étaient établis à Jérusalem et dans les villes de Juda. Israélites,prêtres, lévites, "donnés" et fils des esclaves de Salomon demeuraient dans leurs villes, chacun en sa propriété.
4 Of the sons of Judah and the sons of Benjamin who made their homes in Jerusalem there were: Ofthe sons of Judah: Athaiah son of Uzziah, son of Zechariah, son of Amariah, son of Shephatiah, son ofMehalalel, of the descendants of Perez;	4 A Jérusalem demeuraient des fils de Juda et des fils de Benjamin: Parmi les fils de Juda: Ataya,fils de Uzziyya, fils de Zekarya, fils d'Amarya, fils de Shephatya, fils de Mahalaléel, des descendants de Pérèç;
5 and Maaseiah son of Baruch, son of Col-Hozeh, son of Hazaiah, son of Adaiah, son of Joiarib, son of Zechariah, descendant of Shelah.	5 Maaséya, fils de Baruk, fils de Kol-Hozé, fils de Hazaya, fils de Adaya, fils de Yoyarib, fils deZekarya, descendant de Shéla.
6 The total number of the descendants of Perez living in Jerusalem was four hundred and sixty-eightoutstanding people.	6 Le total des descendants de Pérèç fixés à Jérusalem était de 468, hommes de condition.

13 and his kinsfolk, heads of families: two hundred and forty-two; and Amashai son of Azarel, son ofAhzai, son of Meshil emoth, son of Immer,	13 et ses frères, chefs de famille: 242; et Amasaï, fils d'Azaréel, fils d'Ahzaï, fils de Meshillémot,fils d'Immer,
14 and his kinsfolk, outstanding people: one hundred and twenty-eight. Their chief was Zabdiel son ofHaggadol.	14 et ses frères, hommes de condition: 128. Zabdiel, fils de Haggadol, les commandait.
15 Of the Levites there were Shemaiah son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, son ofBunni;	15 Parmi les lévites: Shemaya, fils de Hashshub, fils d'Azriqam, fils de Hashabya, fils de Bunni;

22 The official in charge of the Levites in Jerusalem was Uzzi son of Bani, son of Hashabiah, son ofMattaniah, son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, who led the singing in the liturgy of the Temple of God;	22 Le chef des lévites de Jérusalem était Uzzi, fils de Bani, fils de Hashabya, fils de Mattanya, filsde Mika; il faisait partie des fils d'Asaph, les chantres chargés du service du Temple de Dieu;

35 Lod, Ono and the Valley of Craftsmen.	35 Lod et Ono, et le val des Artisans.
