13 of the sons of Adonikam: the younger sons, whose names are: Eliphelet, Jeiel and Shemaiah, and withthem sixty males;	13 de los hijos de Adonicam: los últimos, cuyos nombres son: Elifélet, Yeiel y Semaías, y con ellos sesenta varones;
14 and of the sons of Bigvai: Uthai son of Zabud, and with him seventy males.	14 y de los hijos de Bigvay: Utay, hijo de Zabud, y con él setenta varones.
15 I assembled them near the canal which runs to Ahava, where we camped for three days. I noticedlaymen and priests, but I could not discover any Levites there.	15 Yo los reuní junto al río que corre hacia Ahavá. Allí acampamos tres días. Observé que había laicos y sacerdotes, pero no encontré ningún levita.
16 I then sent for Eliezer, Ariel, Shemaiah, Elnathan, Jarib, Elnathan, Nathan, Zechariah and Meshullam,judicious men,	16 Entonces llamé a Eliezer, Ariel, Semaías, Elnatán, Yarib, Elnatán, Natán, Zacarías, y Mesullam, hombres discretos,
17 and sent them to Iddo, the leading man of a place cal ed Casiphia; I told them what they were to say toIddo and his kinsmen, living at the place cal ed Casiphia, that is, to provide us with people to serve the Temple ofour God.	17 y les mandé donde Iddó, jefe de la localidad de Kasifías; puse en su boca las palabras que habían de decir a Iddó y a sus hermanos, establecidos en la localidad de Kasifías, para que nos proporcionaran ministros para la Casa de nuestro Dios.
18 And because the hand of God was good to us, they sent us a wise man of the sons of Mahli son ofLevi, son of Israel, a certain Sherebiah with his sons and kinsmen: eighteen men;	18 Y gracias a la mano bondadosa de nuestro Dios que estaba con nosotros, nos trajeron a un hombre experto, de los hijos de Majlí, hijo de Leví, hijo de Israel: a Serebías, con sus hijos y hermanos: dieciocho hombres;
19 also Hashabiah and with him his brother Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari with his kinsmen and sons:twenty men;	19 además a Jasabías, y con él a su hermano Isaías, de los hijos de Merarí, y sus hijos: veinte hombres.
20 and two hundred and twenty temple slaves -- descendants of the temple slaves whom David and theprinces had assigned to serve the Levites -- all of them designated by name.	20 Y de los donados que David y los jefes habían destinado al servicio de los levitas: 220 donados. 21 There, beside the Ahava Canal, I then proclaimed a fast, to humble ourselves before our God and topray to him for a successful journey for us, our dependants and all our belongings.	21 Allí, a orillas del río Ahavá, proclamé un ayuno para humillarnos delante de nuestro Dios y pedirle un viaje feliz para nosotros, nuestros hijos y nestros bienes.
22 For I should have been ashamed to ask the king for a company of cavalry to protect us from hostilepeople on our road, as we had already said to the king, 'The hand of our God is over al who seek him for theirprotection, but his mighty retribution befal s al those who forsake him.'	22 Pues me daba vergüenza solicitar del rey tropa y gente de a caballo para protegernos del enemigo en el camino; por el contrario, habíamos declarado al rey: «La mano de nuestro Dios está, para bien, con todos los que le buscan; y su poder y su cólera sobre todos los que le abandonan».
23 So we fasted and pleaded with our God about this, and he heard us.	23 Ayunamos, pues, buscando a nuestro Dios por esta intención, y él nos atendió.
24 I next chose twelve of the leading priests, and also Sherebiah and Hashabiah with ten of their kinsmen.	24 Elegí a doce jefes de los sacerdotes, y además a Serebías y Jasabías, y con ellos a diez de sus hermanos;
25 To them I weighed out the silver, the gold and the utensils, the contributions which the king, hiscounsel ors, his notables and al the Israelites there present had made for the Temple of our God.	25 les pesé la plata, el oro y los utensilios, ofrendas que el rey, sus consejeros, sus jefes y todos los israelitas que se encontraban allí habían reservado para la Casa de nuestro Dios.
26 To them I weighed out and handed over six hundred and fifty talents of silver, one hundred utensils ofsilver valued at two talents, one hundred talents of gold,	26 Pesé y les entregué 650 talentos de plata, cien utensilios de plata de dos talentos, cien talentos de oro,
27 twenty golden bowls valued at a thousand darics and two utensils of fine burnished copper as preciousas gold.	27 veinte copas de oro de mil dáricos y dos objetos de hermoso bronce dorado, preciosos como el oro.
28 I said to them, 'You are consecrated to Yahweh; these utensils are consecrated too; the silver and gold are a voluntary offering to Yahweh, God of your ancestors.	28 Y les dije: «Vosotros estáis consagrados a Yahveh; estos utensilios son sagrados; esta plata y este oro son una ofrenda voluntaria a Yahveh, Dios de nuestros padres.
29 Guard them carefully until you weigh them out to the leading priests, the Levites, and the heads offamilies of Israel in Jerusalem in the rooms of the Temple of Yahweh.'	29 Vigilad y guardadlos hasta que los peséis ante los jefes de los sacerdotes y de los levitas y los cabezas de familia de Israel, en Jerusalén, en las cámaras de la Casa de Yahveh».
30 The priests and Levites then took charge of the silver, the gold and the utensils thus weighed, to bringthem to Jerusalem to the Temple of our God.	30 Los sacerdotes y levitas tomaron entonces la plata, todo lo que había sido pesado, el oro y los utensilios, para llevarlos a Jerusalén, a la Casa de nuestro Dios.
31 On the twelfth day of the first month we left the Ahava Canal to make our way to Jerusalem; the handof our God was over us and protected us from enemies and surprise attacks on our way.	31 El día doce del primer mes partimos del río Ahavá para ir a Jerusalén: la mano de nuestro Dios estaba con nosotros y nos salvó en el camino de la mano de enemigos y salteadores.
32 When we arrived in Jerusalem, we rested for three days.	32 Llegamos a Jerusalén y descansamos allí tres días.
33 On the fourth day the silver, the gold and the utensils were weighed in the Temple of our God andhanded over to the priest Meremoth son of Uriah and, with him, Eleazar son of Phinehas; with them were theLevites Jozabad son of Jeshua and Noadiah son of Binnui.	33 El cuarto día, la plata, el oro y los utensilios fueron pesados en la Casa de nuestro Dios y entregados al sacerdote Meremot, hijo de Urías, con quien estaba Eleazar, hijo de Pinjás; les acompañaban los levitas Yozabad, hijo de Josué, y Noadías, hijo de Binnuy.
34 By number and weight al was there. The total weight was recorded at the same time.	34 Todo se contó y se pesó, y se registró su peso total. En aquel tiempo,
35 When the exiles arrived from their captivity, they offered burnt offerings to the God of Israel -- twelvebulls on behalf of all Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-two lambs, and as a sin offering twelve he-goats: the wholeof this as a burnt offering to Yahweh.	35 los deportados que volvían del cautiverio ofrecieron holocaustos al Dios de Israel: doce novillos por todo Israel, 96 carneros, 77 corderos y doce machos cabríos por el pecado: todo en holocausto a Yahveh.
36 They also delivered the king's instructions to the king's satraps and the governors of Transeuphrates,who then supported the people and the Temple of God.	36 Y se entregaron los decretos del rey a los sátrapas del rey y a los gobernadores de Transeufratina, los cuales favorecieron al pueblo y la Casa de Dios.
