2 Chronicles 30

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Hezekiah sent messengers to al Israel and Judah, and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh,bidding them come to the Temple of Yahweh in Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover in honour of Yahweh, Godof Israel.	1 Aztán elküldött Hiszkija egész Izraelhez és Júdához, s levelet írt Efraimhoz és Manasszéhoz, hogy jöjjenek el az Úr házához, Jeruzsálembe s készítsenek pászkát az Úrnak, Izrael Istenének.
2 For the king and his officials and the whole congregation in Jerusalem had agreed to celebrate thePassover in the second month,	2 Tanácsot is tartott a király meg a fejedelmek s az egész gyülekezet Jeruzsálemben, s elhatározták, hogy a második hónapban tartják meg a pászkát.
3 having been unable to celebrate it at the proper time, since the priests had not purified themselves insufficient number, and the people were not assembled in Jerusalem.	3 Nem tudták ugyanis megtartani a maga idejében, mert nem tartott megszentelődést elegendő pap és nem gyűlt egybe még a nép Jeruzsálemben.
4 And since this arrangement seemed fitting to the king and the whole congregation,	4 Ez a határozat tetszett a királynak és az egész sokaságnak.
5 they resolved to send a proclamation throughout Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, cal ing on the peopleto come to Jerusalem and celebrate a Passover in honour of Yahweh, God of Israel, since they had notcelebrated it in a body as prescribed.	5 Elhatározták tehát, hogy követeket küldenek egész Izraelbe Beersebától Dánig, hogy jöjjenek el és készítsenek pászkát az Úrnak, Izrael Istenének Jeruzsálemben, mert sokan nem úgy készítették, ahogy a törvény előírta.
6 So, by order of the king, courtiers set out with letters from the king and his officials for every part ofIsrael and Judah, saying, 'Israelites, return to Yahweh, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, and he wil return tothose of you who are left and have escaped the grasp of the kings of Assyria.	6 El is mentek a futárok a király s fejedelmei parancsára a levelekkel egész Izraelbe és Júdába, úgy, ahogy a király megparancsolta, és hirdették: »Izrael fiai, térjetek vissza az Úrhoz, Ábrahám, Izsák és Izrael Istenéhez, s akkor ő is visszatér ahhoz a maradékhoz, amely megmenekült az asszírok királyának a kezéből.
7 Do not be like your fathers and brothers who were unfaithful to Yahweh, God of their ancestors; hebrought them to ruin, as you can see.	7 Ne legyetek olyanok, mint atyáitok s testvéreitek, akik elpártoltak az Úrtól, atyáik Istenétől, miért is ő pusztulásra adta őket, miként magatok is látjátok.
8 Do not be stubborn like your ancestors. Submit to Yahweh, come to his sanctuary which he hasconsecrated for ever, and serve Yahweh your God, so that his fierce anger may turn away from you.	8 Ne keményítsétek meg nyakatokat, miként atyáitok, adjátok kezeteket az Úrnak, és gyertek el szent helyére, amelyet mindörökké szentté tett, szolgáljatok az Úrnak atyáitok Istenének, s akkor elfordul haragjának bosszúja tőletek.
9 For if you return to Yahweh, your brothers and your sons wil be treated mercifully by their captors andbe al owed to return to this country; for Yahweh your God is gracious and merciful and wil not turn his face awayfrom you, if you return to him.'	9 Ha ugyanis ti visszatértek az Úrhoz, akkor testvéreitek és fiaitok irgalmasságot nyernek uraik előtt, akik fogságba hurcolták őket, és visszatérhetnek erre a földre. Mert kegyes és jóságos az Úr, a ti Istenetek, és ő nem fordítja el arcát tőletek, ha ti visszatértek hozzá.«
10 The courtiers went from town to town through the territory of Ephraim and Manasseh and as far asZebulon but the people laughed and scoffed at them;	10 Így mentek gyorsan a futárok városról városra, Efraim és Manassze földjén egészen Zebulonig, ám azok kinevették és kigúnyolták őket.
11 even so, some people from Asher and Manasseh and Zebulon were humble enough to come toJerusalem,	11 Mindazonáltal néhány ember Áserből, Manasszéból és Zebulonból hajlott a szóra, és eljött Jeruzsálembe.
12 while in Judah the hand of God was also at work inspiring a unanimous desire to obey the order ofthe king and the officials in accordance with the word of Yahweh.	12 Júdában azonban az Úr keze úgy cselekedett, hogy egy szívet adott nekik, hogy teljesítsék a király s a fejedelmek parancsa szerint az Úr szavát.
13 A huge crowd assembled in Jerusalem to celebrate the feast of Unleavened Bread in the secondmonth. An immense crowd	13 Egybe is gyűlt Jeruzsálembe igen sok nép, hogy megülje a kovásztalanok ünnepét a második hónapban.
14 set to work removing the altars then in Jerusalem; they also removed al the incense altars and threwthem into the Kidron Val ey.	14 Azzal kezdték, hogy lerombolták azokat az oltárokat, amelyek Jeruzsálemben voltak, s mindazokat, amelyeken a bálványoknak égettek jó illatot, s miután lerombolták, a Kedron völgyébe vetették őket.
15 They then slaughtered the Passover victims on the fourteenth day of the second month. Ashamed ofthemselves, the priests and Levites had in the meanwhile sanctified themselves and brought burnt offerings tothe Temple of Yahweh,	15 Majd leölték a pászkát a második hónap tizennegyedik napján, és a papok és a leviták is megszentelődtek, és felvitték az egészen elégő áldozatokat az Úr házába.
16 so they now stood in their positions prescribed in the Law of Moses man of God, the priestssprinkling the blood handed to them by the Levites.	16 Majd felálltak rendjük szerint Mózesnek, az Isten emberének intézkedése és törvénye szerint, s a papok átvették a kiöntésre szánt vért a leviták kezéből.
17 Since many people in the congregation had not sanctified themselves, the Levites took care of theslaughter of the Passover victims to consecrate them to Yahweh for al who were not clean.	17 Mivel ugyanis nagy tömeg nem tartott megszentelődést, azért a leviták vágták le a pászkát azok számára, akik nem tudtak megszentelődni az Úr tiszteletére.
18 For a great many people, especial y from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulon, had notpurified themselves, since they did not eat the Passover as prescribed. But Hezekiah prayed for them as fol ows,'May Yahweh in his goodness pardon	18 Így Efraimból, Manasszéból, Isszakárból és Zebulonból a nép nagy része anélkül ette meg a pászkát, hogy megszentelődött volna, nem úgy, amint meg van írva, de Hiszkija könyörgött értük, ezekkel a szavakkal: »Könyörüljön a kegyes Úr
19 everyone whose heart is set on seeking God, Yahweh, God of his ancestors, even if he has not beenpurified as holy things demand.'	19 mindazokon, akik teljes szívvel keresik az Urat, atyáik Istenét, s ne tudja be nekik, hogy kevésbé szentelődtek meg.«
20 Yahweh listened to Hezekiah and left the people unharmed.	20 Az Úr meg is hallgatta őt, s megbocsátotta a népnek.
21 Amid great rejoicing, the Israelites present in Jerusalem celebrated the feast of Unleavened Breadfor seven days, while day after day the Levites and the priests praised Yahweh with al their might.	21 Így ülték meg Izrael Jeruzsálemben levő fiai a kovásztalanok ünnepét hét napon át nagy örvendezéssel, miközben napról-napra dicsérték az Urat a leviták és a papok a tisztüknek megfelelő hangszerekkel.
22 Hezekiah then encouraged al the Levites who had such understanding of Yahweh. Having finishedthe seven-day festival, during which they sacrificed communion sacrifices and praised Yahweh, God of theirancestors,	22 Ezért Hiszkija szíves szókat intézett mindazokhoz a levitákhoz, akik helyes értelemmel voltak az Úr iránt. Így ettek az ünnep hét napján át, miközben egyre vágták a békeáldozatokat, s dicsérték az Urat, atyáik Istenét.
23 the whole congregation decided to celebrate for a further seven days. So they joyful y celebrated foranother seven days,	23 Azonban az egész sokaság elhatározta, hogy további hét napig is ünnepel, és meg is tette azt nagy örömmel.
24 Hezekiah king of Judah contributing a thousand bul s and seven thousand sheep for thecongregation, and the officials another thousand bul s and ten thousand sheep. And a large number of priestssanctified themselves.	24 Hiszkija, Júda királya ugyanis ezer bikát és hétezer juhot adott a sokaságnak, a fejedelmek pedig ezer bikát s tízezer juhot adtak a népnek. A papok közül igen nagy sokaság szentelte meg magát.
25 The whole congregation of Judah, the priests, the Levites, the whole congregation coming fromIsrael and the foreigners coming from the territory of Israel as wel as those resident in Judah, rejoiced.	25 Öröm töltötte el azért Júdát, a papokat s a levitákat meg az Izraelből jött egész sokaságot, valamint az Izrael földjéről való, meg a Júdában lakó idegeneknek egész tömegét.
26 There was great rejoicing in Jerusalem, for since the days of Solomon son of David, king of Israel,nothing comparable had ever occurred in Jerusalem.	26 Olyan nagy ünnepség volt Jeruzsálemben, amilyen nem volt abban a városban Salamonnak, Izrael királyának, Dávid fiának, napjai óta.
27 The levitical priests then stood up and blessed the people and their voice was heard, and their prayerreached his holy dwelling in heaven.	27 Végül felálltak a papok és a leviták s megáldották a népet. Szavuk meghallgatásra talált és imádságuk felhatott az ég szent lakóhelyére.
