1 Chronicles 20

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 At the turn of the year, at the time when kings go campaigning, Joab led out the troops and, havingravaged the Ammonites' territory, proceeded to lay siege to Rabbah. David, however, remained in Jerusalem.Joab reduced Rabbah and dismantled it.	1 No ano seguinte, no tempo em que os reis costumavam ir para a guerra, Joab, à frente de um poderoso exército, devastou a terra dos amonitas e veio sitiar Raba. Joab conquistou Raba e a destruiu.
2 David took the crown off Milcom's head and found that it weighed a talent of gold, and in it was set aprecious stone which went on David's head instead. He carried off great quantities of booty from the city.	2 Davi tomou a coroa da cabeça de seu rei, a qual pesava um talento de ouro. David and al the people then returned to Jerusalem.	3 Quanto ao povo que lá se encontrava, fê-lo sair, e colocou-o em trabalhos de serra, de picaretas de ferro e de machados. Fez o mesmo com todas as cidades dos amonitas. Em seguida, Davi voltou para Jerusalém com todo o seu exército.
4 After this war broke out with the Philistines at Gezer. 7 When he defied Israel, Jonathan son of Shimea, brother of David cut him down.	7 Desafiou Israel, e Jônatas, filho de Sama, irmão de Davi, o matou.
8 These men were sons of Rapha in Gath and fel at the hands of David and his guards.	8 Esses homens eram filhos de Rafa, em Get; pereceram pela mão de Davi e de seus servos.
