1 At the turn of the year, at the time when kings go campaigning, Joab led out the troops and, havingravaged the Ammonites' territory, proceeded to lay siege to Rabbah. 7 When he defied Israel, Jonathan son of Shimea, brother of David cut him down.	7 Als er Israel verhöhnte, erschlug ihn Jonatan, der Sohn von Davids Bruder Schima.
8 These men were sons of Rapha in Gath and fel at the hands of David and his guards.	8 Diese stammten von Rafa aus Gat ab; sie fielen durch die Hand Davids und seiner Krieger.
