NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 At the turn of the year, at the time when kings go campaigning, Joab led out the troops and, havingravaged the Ammonites' territory, proceeded to lay siege to Rabbah. David, however, remained in Jerusalem.Joab reduced Rabbah and dismantled it.	1 Au retour de l'année, au temps où les rois se mettent en campagne, Joab emmena les troupeset ravagea le pays des Ammonites. Puis il vint mettre le siège devant Rabba, tandis que David restait àJérusalem. Joab abattit Rabba et la démantela.
2 David took the crown off Milcom's head and found that it weighed a talent of gold, and in it was set aprecious stone which went on David's head instead. David and al the people then returned to Jerusalem.	3 Quant à sa population, il la fit sortir, la mit à manier la scie, les pics de fer ou les haches.Ainsi agit-il envers toutes les villes des Ammonites. Puis David et toute l'armée revinrent à Jérusalem.
4 After this war broke out with the Philistines at Gezer. This was when Sibbecai of Hushah kil ed Sippai, one of the Rephaim, and the Philistines were subdued.	4 Après cela, la guerre se poursuivit avec les Philistins à Gézer. 7 When he defied Israel, Jonathan son of Shimea, brother of David cut him down.	7 Comme il défiait Israël, Yehonatân, fils de Shiméa frère de David, le tua.
