NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 In his times, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon invaded, and Jehoiakim became his vassal for threeyears, but then rebelled against him a second time.	1 Al suo tempo Nabucodònosor, re di Babilonia, salì contro di lui e Ioiakìm gli fu sottomesso per tre anni, ma poi tornò a ribellarsi.

12 Jehoiachin king of Judah-he, his mother, his retinue, his nobles and his officials -- then surrendered tothe king of Babylon, and the king of Babylon took them prisoner in the eighth year of his reign.	12 Allora Ioiachìn, re di Giuda, uscì incontro al re di Babilonia, insieme con la madre, i servi, i capi e gli eunuchi; il re di Babilonia lo fece prigioniero nell'anno ottavo del suo regno.

14 He carried al Jerusalem off into exile, all the nobles and al the notables, ten thousand of these wereexiled, with al the blacksmiths and metalworkers; only the poorest people in the country were left behind.	14 Deportò infine tutta Gerusalemme, cioè tutti i capi, tutti i prodi guerrieri in numero di diecimila, e tutti i fabbri e tutti i calderai. Non rimase che il popolo povero della terra.
15 He deported Jehoiachin to Babylon, as also the king's mother, his officials and the nobility of thecountry; he made them al leave Jerusalem for exile in Babylon.	15 Egli deportò Ioiachìn a Babilonia; inoltre condusse prigionieri da Gerusalemme a Babilonia la madre del re, le mogli del re, i suoi eunuchi e i nobili del paese.
16 Al the men of distinction, seven thousand of them, the blacksmiths and metalworkers, one thousandof them, al the men capable of bearing arms, were led off into exile in Babylon by the king of Babylon.	16 Il re di Babilonia fece condurre prigionieri a Babilonia tutti gli uomini di valore, in numero di settemila, i fabbri e i calderai in numero di mille, tutti uomini atti alla guerra.

18 Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he came to the throne, and he reigned for eleven years inJerusalem. His mother's name was Hamital daughter of Jeremiah, of Libnah.	18 All'avvento al trono Sedecia aveva ventun anni e regnò undici anni a Gerusalemme. Sua madre si chiamava Camutàl, figlia di Geremia, da Libna.

20 It was entirely due to Yahweh's anger that this happened to Jerusalem and Judah. It resulted in hiscasting them from his presence. Zedekiah rebel ed against the king of Babylon.	20 Questo accadde a Gerusalemme e a Giuda a motivo dell'ira del Signore, fino al punto che li rigettò dal suo cospetto.
