NEW JERUSALEM	Biblia Matos Soares
1 Jacob cal ed his sons and said, 'Gather round, so that I can tell you what is in store for you in the final days.	1 Jacob chamou seus filhos, e disse-lhes: Juntai-vos, para que vos anuncie o que vos acontecerá nos dias futuros.
2 Gather round, sons of Jacob, and listen; listen to Israel your father.	2 Juntai-vos e ouvi, filhos de Jacob, ouvi Israel, vosso pai:
3 Reuben, you are my first-born, my vigour, and the first-fruit of my manhood, foremost in pride,foremost in strength,	3 Ruben, meu primogênito, tu, a minha fortaleza e o primeiro fruto do meu vigor, o primeiro na dignidade, o maior no império,
4 uncontrol ed as water: you wil not be foremost, for you climbed into your father's bed, and so defiledmy couch, to my sorrow.	4 derramaste-te como a água. Não terás a preeminência, porque subiste ao leito do teu pai, e profanaste o seu tálamo.
5 Simeon and Levi are brothers in carrying out their malicious plans.	5 Simeão e Levi (são) irmãos. (As suas espadas são) instrumentos mortíferos de iniquidade.
6 May my soul not enter their council nor my heart join their company, for in their rage they have kil edmen and hamstrung oxen at their whim.	6 Que a minha alma não tenha parte nos seus conselhos. e que a minha alma não se una aos seus conluios, porque, no seu furor, mataram homens, e na sua vontade (criminosa) cortaram os jarretes dos touros.
7 Accursed be their rage for its ruthlessness, their wrath for its ferocity. I shall disperse them in Jacob, Ishall scatter them through Israel.	7 Maldita a sua cólera porque (foi) violenta, e o seu furor, porque (foi) cruel. Eu os dividirei em Jacob, e os espalharei em Israel.
8 Judah, your brothers wil praise you: you grip your enemies by the neck, your father's sons wil do youhomage.	8 Judá, teus irmãos te louvarão: a tua mão estará sobre as cervizes de teus inimigos: os filhos de teu pai se prostrarão diante de ti.
9 Judah is a lion's whelp; You stand over your prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, amighty lion: who dare rouse him?	9 Judá é um cachorro de leão. Correste, meu filho, para a presa, deitaste-te para descansar como o leão, e como a leoa, quem o despertará?
10 The sceptre shall not pass from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until tribute bebrought him and the peoples render him obedience.	10 O cetro não será tirado de Judá, nem o bastão soberano de entre os seus pés, até que venha aquele de quem é o mando, e a quem os povos devem obediência.
11 He tethers his donkey to the vine, to its stock the foal of his she-donkey. He washes his clothes inwine, his robes in the blood of the grape.	11 Ele atará à vinha o seu jumentinho, e à videira, ó meu filho, a suá jumenta, Lavará a sua túnica no vinho, e a sua capa no sangue da uva.
12 His eyes are darkened with wine and his teeth are white with milk.	12 Os seus olhos são mais escuros que o vinho, e os seus dentes mais brancos do que o leite.
13 Zebulun wil live by the seashore and be a sailor on board the ships, with Sidon on his flank.	13 Zabulon habitará na praia do mar, e no ancoradouro dos navios, estendendo-se até Sidónia.
14 Issachar is a strong donkey lying down among sheepfolds.	14 Issacar é (como) jumento robusto que está deitado dentro do seu estábulo.
15 When he saw how good the resting-place and how pleasant the country, he bowed his shoulder tothe load and became a slave to forced labour.	15 Viu que o repouso era bom, e que a (sua) terra era ótima; curvou os seus ombros para levar pesos, e sujeitou-se aos tributos,
16 Dan wil govern his people like any other of the tribes of Israel.	16 Dan julgará o seu povo, como qualquer outra tribo de Israel.
17 May Dan be a snake on the road, a viper on the path, who bites the horse on the hock so that itsrider falls off backwards!	17 Dan é como uma serpente no caminho, uma víbora no atalho, que morde as unhas do cavalo, para que o cavaleiro caia para trás.
18 I long for your deliverance, Yahweh!	18 A tua salvação esperarei, ó Senhor.
19 Gad wil be raided by raiders, and he wil raid at their heels.	19 Gad: salteadores o assaltam, e ele fere-os nos calcanhares.
20 Rich the food produced by Asher: he will furnish food fit for kings.	20 Aser: Suculento é o seu pão, e ministrará delicias aos reis.
21 Naphtali is a swift hind bearing lovely fawns.	21 Neftali é uma corsa veloz, pronuncia palavras graciosas.
22 Joseph is a fruitful plant near a spring whose tendrils reach over the wal .	22 José é o rebento duma árvore fértil, o rebento duma árvore fértil junto duma fonte, cujos ramos passam por cima do muro.
23 Archers in their hostility drew their bows and attacked him.	23 Os arqueiros provocam-no, lançam-lhe flechas, os arqueiros o atacam,
24 But their bows were broken by a mighty One, the sinews of their arms were snapped by the power ofthe Mighty One of Jacob, by the Name of the Stone of Israel,	24 O seu arco apoiou-se no forte; os seus braços e as mãos permanecem ágeis, pela mão do Poderoso de Jacob, por aquele que é o Pastor e a Rocha de Israel.
25 the God of your father who assists you, El Shaddai who blesses you: blessings of heaven above,blessings of the deep lying below, blessings of the breasts and womb,	25 O Deus de teu pai será o teu auxilio, e o Omnipotente te abençoará com as bênçãos do alto céu, com as bênçãos do abismo, que jaz em baixo, com as bênçãos dos seios maternos e dos úteros.
26 blessings of the grain and flowers, blessings of the eternal mountains, bounty of the everlasting hil s-- may they descend on Joseph's head, on the crown of the one dedicated from among his brothers!	26 As bênçãos de teu pai, que excedem as que ele recebeu de seus pais, e as delícias das colinas eternas. Derramem-se sobre a cabeça de José, sobre a cabeça daquele que é Príncipe dos seus irmãos.
27 Benjamin is a ravening wolf, in the morning he devours the prey, in the evening he is still sharing outthe spoil.'	27 Benjamim, lobo arrebatador. Pela manhã devorará a presa, e, à tarde, repartirá os despojos.
28 Al these make up the tribes of Israel, twelve in number, and this is what their father said to them ashe bade them farewell, giving each an appropriate blessing.	28 Todos estes são os chefes das doze tribos de Israel. Foi assim que lhes falou seu pai, foi assim que abençoou cada um deles, com bênçãos próprias,
29 Then he gave them these instructions, 'I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me with myancestors, in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,	29 Depois ordenou-lhes: Vou unir-me ao meu povo; sepultai-me com meus pais na caverna que está no campo de Efrom, o Heteu,
30 in the cave in the field at Machpelah, facing Mamre, in Canaan, which Abraham bought from Ephronthe Hittite as a burial site of his own.	30 em frente de Mambré na terra de Canaan, e que Abraão comprou a Efrom, o Heteu, com o campo (onde ela está) para ter um sepulcro.
31 There Abraham and his wife Sarah were buried. There Isaac and his wife Rebekah were buried; andthere I buried Leah-	31 Ali sepultaram Abraão e Sara, sua mulher: ali foi sepultado Isaac com sua mulher Rebeca; ali jaz também sepultada Lia.
32 the field and the cave in it which were bought from the Hittites.'	32 Tendo (Jacob) acabado de dar estas ordens a seus filhos, recolheu os seus pés para o leito, e morreu, e foi reunido ao seu povo (no Limbo).
33 When Jacob had finished giving his instructions to his sons, he drew his feet up into the bed, andbreathing his last was gathered to his people.
