NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 Jacob cal ed his sons and said, 'Gather round, so that I can tell you what is in store for you in the final days.	1 Darauf rief Jakob seine Söhne und sprach: Versammelt euch, dann sage ich euch an, was euch begegnet in künftigen Tagen.
2 Gather round, sons of Jacob, and listen; listen to Israel your father.	2 Kommt zusammen, ihr Söhne Jakobs, und hört, auf Israel hört, auf euren Vater!
3 Reuben, you are my first-born, my vigour, and the first-fruit of my manhood, foremost in pride,foremost in strength,	3 Ruben, mein Erster, du meine Stärke, meiner Zeugungskraft Erstling, übermütig an Stolz, übermütig an Kraft,
4 uncontrol ed as water: you wil not be foremost, for you climbed into your father's bed, and so defiledmy couch, to my sorrow.	4 brodelnd wie Wasser. Der Erste sollst du nicht bleiben. Du bestiegst ja das Bett deines Vaters; geschändet hast du damals mein Lager.
5 Simeon and Levi are brothers in carrying out their malicious plans.	5 Simeon und Levi, die Brüder, Werkzeuge der Gewalt sind ihre Messer.
6 May my soul not enter their council nor my heart join their company, for in their rage they have kil edmen and hamstrung oxen at their whim.	6 Zu ihrem Kreis mag ich nicht gehören, mit ihrer Rotte vereinige sich nicht mein Herz. Denn in ihrem Zorn brachten sie Männer um, mutwillig lähmten sie Stiere.
7 Accursed be their rage for its ruthlessness, their wrath for its ferocity. I shall disperse them in Jacob, Ishall scatter them through Israel.	7 Verflucht ihr Zorn, da er so heftig, verflucht ihr Grimm, da er so roh. Ich teile sie unter Jakob auf, ich zerstreue sie unter Israel.
8 Judah, your brothers wil praise you: you grip your enemies by the neck, your father's sons wil do youhomage.	8 Juda, dir jubeln die Brüder zu, deine Hand hast du am Genick deiner Feinde. Deines Vaters Söhne fallen vor dir nieder.
9 Judah is a lion's whelp; You stand over your prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, amighty lion: who dare rouse him?	9 Ein junger Löwe ist Juda. Vom Raub, mein Sohn, wurdest du groß. Er kauert, liegt da wie ein Löwe, wie eine Löwin. Wer wagt, sie zu scheuchen?
10 The sceptre shall not pass from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until tribute bebrought him and the peoples render him obedience.	10 Nie weicht von Juda das Zepter, der Herrscherstab von seinen Füßen, bis der kommt, dem er gehört, dem der Gehorsam der Völker gebührt.
11 He tethers his donkey to the vine, to its stock the foal of his she-donkey. He washes his clothes inwine, his robes in the blood of the grape.	11 Er bindet am Weinstock sein Reittier fest, seinen Esel am Rebstock. Er wäscht in Wein sein Kleid, in Traubenblut sein Gewand.
12 His eyes are darkened with wine and his teeth are white with milk.	12 Feurig von Wein funkeln die Augen, seine Zähne sind weißer als Milch.
13 Zebulun wil live by the seashore and be a sailor on board the ships, with Sidon on his flank.	13 Sebulon wohnt nahe dem Strand, am Gestade der Schiffe, mit seinem Rücken nach Sidon hin.
14 Issachar is a strong donkey lying down among sheepfolds.	14 Issachar ist ein knochiger Esel, lagernd in seinem Pferch.
15 When he saw how good the resting-place and how pleasant the country, he bowed his shoulder tothe load and became a slave to forced labour.	15 Er sieht, wie die Ruhe so schön ist und wie so freundlich das Land; da neigt er die Schulter als Träger und wird zum fronenden Knecht.
16 Dan wil govern his people like any other of the tribes of Israel.	16 Dan schafft Recht seinem Volk wie nur einer von Israels Stämmen.
17 May Dan be a snake on the road, a viper on the path, who bites the horse on the hock so that itsrider falls off backwards!	17 Zur Schlange am Weg wird Dan, zur zischelnden Natter am Pfad. Sie beißt das Pferd in die Fesseln, sein Reiter stürzt rücklings herab.
18 I long for your deliverance, Yahweh!	18 Auf deine Hilfe harre ich, Herr.
19 Gad wil be raided by raiders, and he wil raid at their heels.	19 Gad, ins Gedränge drängen sie ihn, doch er bedrängt ihre Ferse.
20 Rich the food produced by Asher: he will furnish food fit for kings.	20 Ascher, fett ist sein Brot. Königskost liefert er.
21 Naphtali is a swift hind bearing lovely fawns.	21 Naftali, die flüchtige Hirschkuh, versteht sich auf gefällige Rede.
22 Joseph is a fruitful plant near a spring whose tendrils reach over the wal .	22 Ein junger Fruchtbaum ist Josef, ein junger Fruchtbaum am Quell, ein junger Zweig an der Mauer.
23 Archers in their hostility drew their bows and attacked him.	23 Man erbittert und reizt ihn, die Schützen stellen ihm nach.
24 But their bows were broken by a mighty One, the sinews of their arms were snapped by the power ofthe Mighty One of Jacob, by the Name of the Stone of Israel,	24 Sein Bogen sitzt sicher; gelenkig sind Arme und Hände. Das kommt vom Starken Jakobs, von dort kommt der Hirt, Israels Fels,
25 the God of your father who assists you, El Shaddai who blesses you: blessings of heaven above,blessings of the deep lying below, blessings of the breasts and womb,	25 vom Gott deines Vaters, er wird dir helfen. Gott, der Allmächtige, er wird dich segnen mit Segen des Himmels von droben, mit Segen tief lagernder Urflut, mit Segen von Brust und Schoß.
26 blessings of the grain and flowers, blessings of the eternal mountains, bounty of the everlasting hil s-- may they descend on Joseph's head, on the crown of the one dedicated from among his brothers!	26 Deines Vaters Segen übertrifft den Segen der uralten Berge, den man von den ewigen Hügeln ersehnt. Er komme auf Josefs Haupt, auf das Haupt des Geweihten der Brüder.
27 Benjamin is a ravening wolf, in the morning he devours the prey, in the evening he is still sharing outthe spoil.'	27 Benjamin ist ein reißender Wolf: Am Morgen frisst er die Beute, am Abend teilt er den Fang.
28 Al these make up the tribes of Israel, twelve in number, and this is what their father said to them ashe bade them farewell, giving each an appropriate blessing.	28 Sie alle sind die zwölf Stämme Israels und das war es, was ihr Vater zu ihnen sagte, als er sie segnete. Einen jeden bedachte er mit dem Segen, der ihm zukam.
29 Then he gave them these instructions, 'I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me with myancestors, in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,	29 Er trug ihnen ferner auf und sagte zu ihnen: Ich werde mit meinen Vorfahren vereint. Begrabt mich bei meinen Vätern in der Höhle auf dem Grundstück des Hetiters Efron,
30 in the cave in the field at Machpelah, facing Mamre, in Canaan, which Abraham bought from Ephronthe Hittite as a burial site of his own.	30 in der Höhle auf dem Grundstück von Machpela bei Mamre in Kanaan. Das Grundstück hatte Abraham vom Hetiter Efron als eigene Grabstätte gekauft.
31 There Abraham and his wife Sarah were buried. There Isaac and his wife Rebekah were buried; andthere I buried Leah-	31 Dort hat man Abraham und seine Frau Sara begraben; dort hat man Isaak und seine Frau Rebekka begraben; dort habe ich Lea begraben,
32 the field and the cave in it which were bought from the Hittites.'	32 auf dem Grundstück, das samt der Höhle darauf von den Hetitern in unseren Besitz übergegangen ist.
33 When Jacob had finished giving his instructions to his sons, he drew his feet up into the bed, andbreathing his last was gathered to his people.	33 Jakob beendete den Auftrag an seine Söhne und zog seine Füße auf das Bett zurück. Dann verschied er und wurde mit seinen Vorfahren vereint.
