2 For their heritage they received Beer-sheba, Shema, Moladah,	2 eorum in medio possessionis filiorum Juda : Bersabee et Sabee et Molada
3 Hazar-shual, Balah, Ezem,	3 et Hasersual, Bala et Asem
4 Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,	4 et Eltholad, Bethul et Harma
5 Ziklag, Bethmar-caboth, Hazar-susah,	5 et Siceleg et Bethmarchaboth et Hasersusa
6 Beth-lebaoth and Sharuhen; thirteen cities and their villages.	6 et Bethlebaoth et Sarohen : civitates tredecim, et villæ earum.
7 Also En-rimmon, Ether and Ashan; four cities and their villages,	7 Ain et Remmon et Athar et Asan : civitates quatuor, et villæ earum :
8 besides all the villages around these cities as far as Baalath-beer (that is, Ramoth-negeb). This was the heritage of the clans of the tribe of the Simeonites.	8 omnes viculi per circuitum urbium istarum usque ad Baalath Beer Ramath contra australem plagam. 9 This heritage of the Simeonites was within the confines of the Judahites; for since the portion of the latter was too large for them, the Simeonites obtained their heritage within it.	9 in possessione et funiculo filiorum Juda : quia major erat, et idcirco filii Simeon possederunt in medio hæreditatis eorum.
10 The third lot fell to the clans of the Zebulunites. The limit of their heritage was at Sarid.	10 Ceciditque sors tertia filiorum Zabulon per cognationes suas : factus est terminus possessionis eorum usque Sarid.
11 Their boundary went up west. . . and through Mareal, reaching Dabbesheth and the wadi that is near Jokneam.	11 Ascenditque de mari et Merala, et pervenit in Debbaseth, usque ad torrentem qui est contra Jeconam.
12 From Sarid eastward it ran to the district of Chisloth-tabor, on to Daberath, and up to Japhia.	12 Et revertitur de Sared contra orientem in fines Ceseleththabor : et egreditur ad Dabereth, ascenditque contra Japhie.
13 From there it continued eastward to Gath-hepher and to Eth-kazin, extended to Rimmon, and turned to Neah.	13 Et inde pertransit usque ad orientalem plagam Gethepher et Thacasin : et egreditur in Remmon, Amthar et Noa.
14 Skirting north of Hannathon, the boundary ended at the valley of Iphtahel.	14 Et circuit ad aquilonem Hanathon : suntque egressus ejus vallis Jephthaël,
15 Thus, with Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah and Bethlehem, there were twelve cities and their villages	15 et Cateth et Naalol et Semeron et Jerala et Bethlehem : civitates duodecim, et villæ earum.
16 to comprise the heritage of the clans of the Zebulunites.	16 Hæc est hæreditas tribus filiorum Zabulon per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.
17 The fourth lot fell to Issachar. The territory of the clans of the Issacharites	17 Issachar egressa est sors quarta per cognationes suas :
18 included Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem,	18 fuitque ejus hæreditas Jezraël et Casaloth et Sunem
19 Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,	19 et Hapharaim et Seon, et Anaharath
20 Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,	20 et Rabboth et Cesion, Abes,
21 Remeth, En-gannim, En-haddah and Beth-pazzez.	21 et Rameth, et Engannim, et Enhadda et Bethpheses.
22 The boundary reached Tabor, Shahazumah and Beth-shemesh, ending at the Jordan. These sixteen cities and their villages	22 Et pervenit terminus ejus usque Thabor et Sehesima et Bethsames, eruntque exitus ejus Jordanis : civitates sedecim, et villæ earum.
23 were the heritage of the clans of the Issacharites.	23 Hæc est possessio filiorum Issachar per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.
24 The fifth lot fell to the clans of the tribe of the Asherites.	24 Ceciditque sors quinta tribui filiorum Aser per cognationes suas :
25 Their territory included Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph,	25 fuitque terminus eorum Halcath et Chali et Beten et Axaph
26 Allammelech, Amad and Mishal, and reached Carmel on the west, and Shihor-libnath.	26 et Elmelech et Amaad et Messal : et pervenit usque ad Carmelum maris et Sihor et Labanath,
27 In the other direction, it ran eastward of Beth-dagon, reached Zebulun and the valley of Iphtahel; then north of Beth-emek and Neiel, it extended to Cabul,	27 ac revertitur contra orientem Bethdagon : et pertransit usque Zabulon et vallem Jephthaël contra aquilonem in Bethemec et Nehiel. Egrediturque ad lævam Cabul,
28 Mishal, Abdon, Rehob, Hammon and Kanah, near Greater Sidon.	28 et Abran et Rohob et Hamon et Cana, usque ad Sidonem magnam.
29 Then the boundary turned back to Ramah and to the fortress city of Tyre; thence it cut back to Hosah and ended at the sea. Thus, with Mahalab, Achzib,	29 Revertiturque in Horma usque ad civitatem munitissimam Tyrum, et usque Hosa : eruntque exitus ejus in mare de funiculo Achziba :
30 Ummah, Acco, Aphek and Rehob, there were twenty-two cities and their villages	30 et Amma et Aphec et Rohob : civitates viginti duæ, et villæ earum.
31 to comprise the heritage of the clans of the tribe of the Asherites.	31 Hæc est possessio filiorum Aser per cognationes suas, urbesque et viculi earum.
32 The sixth lot fell to the Naphtalites. The boundary of the clans of the Naphtalites	32 Filiorum Nephthali sexta sors cecidit per familias suas :
33 extended from Heleph, from the oak at Zaanannim to Lakkum, including Adami-nekeb and Jabneel, and ended at the Jordan.	33 et cœpit terminus de Heleph et Elon in Saananim, et Adami, quæ est Neceb, et Jebnaël usque Lecum : et egressus eorum usque ad Jordanem :
34 In the opposite direction, westerly, it ran through Aznoth-tabor and from there extended to Hukkok; it touched Zebulun on the south, Asher on the west, and the Jordan on the east.	34 revertiturque terminus contra occidentem in Azanotthabor, atque inde egreditur in Hucuca, et pertransit in Zabulon contra meridiem, et in Aser contra occidentem, et in Juda ad Jordanem contra ortum solis :
35 The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Chinnereth,	35 civitates munitissimæ, Assedim, Ser, et Emath, et Reccath et Cenereth,
36 Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,	36 et Edema et Arama, Asor
37 Kedesh, Edrei, En-hazor,	37 et Cedes et Edrai, Enhasor,
38 Yiron, Migdal-el, Horem, Beth-anath and Beth-shemesh; nineteen cities and their villages,	38 et Jeron et Magdalel, Horem et Bethanath et Bethsames : civitates decem et novem, et villæ earum.

40 The seventh lot fell to the clans of the tribe of Danites.	40 Tribui filiorum Dan per familias suas egressa est sors septima :
41 Their heritage was the territory of Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-shemesh,	41 et fuit terminus possessionis ejus Sara et Esthaol, et Hirsemes, id est, civitas solis.
42 Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,	42 Selebin et Ajalon et Jethela,
43 Elon, Timnah, Ekron,	43 Elon et Themna et Acron,
44 Eltekoh, Gibbethon, Baalath,	44 Elthece, Gebbethon et Balaath,
45 Jehud, Bene-berak, Gath-rimmon,	45 et Jud et Bane et Barach et Gethremmon :
46 Me-jarkon and Rakkon, with the coast at Joppa.	46 et Mejarcon et Arecon, cum termino qui respicit Joppen,
47 But the territory of the Danites was too small for them; so the Danites marched up and attacked Leshem, which they captured and put to the sword. Once they had taken possession of Leshem, they renamed the settlement after their ancestor Dan.	47 et ipso fine concluditur. Ascenderuntque filii Dan, et pugnaverunt contra Lesem, ceperuntque eam : et percusserunt eam in ore gladii, et possederunt, et habitaverunt in ea, vocantes nomen ejus Lesem Dan, ex nomine Dan patris sui.
48 These cities and their villages were the heritage of the clans of the tribe of the Danites.	48 Hæc est possessio tribus filiorum Dan, per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.
49 When the last of them had received the portions of the land they were to inherit, the Israelites assigned a heritage in their midst to Joshua, son of Nun.	49 Cumque complesset sorte dividere terram singulis per tribus suas, dederunt filii Israël possessionem Josue filio Nun in medio sui,
50 In obedience to the command of the LORD, they gave him the city which he requested, Timnah-serah in the mountain region of Ephraim. He rebuilt the city and made it his home.	50 juxta præceptum Domini, urbem quam postulavit Thamnath Saraa in monte Ephraim : et ædificavit civitatem, habitavitque in ea.
51 These are the final portions into which Eleazar the priest, Joshua, son of Nun, and the heads of families in the tribes of the Israelites divided the land by lot in the presence of the LORD, at the door of the meeting tent in Shiloh.	51 Hæ sunt possessiones, quas sorte diviserunt Eleazar sacerdos, et Josue filius Nun, et principes familiarum ac tribuum filiorum Israël in Silo, coram Domino ad ostium tabernaculi testimonii : partitique sunt terram.
