1 In the first month of the year following their departure from the land of Egypt, the Lord said to Moses in the desert of Sinai,	1 Parlò Iddio a Moisè nel deserto di Sinai, nello anno secondo poi che uscirono d'Egitto, nel primo mese; e dissegli:
2 "Tell the Israelites to celebrate the Passover at the prescribed time.	2 Facciano i figliuoli d'Israel la pasqua nel tempo suo,
3 The evening twilight of the fourteenth day of this month is the prescribed time when you shall celebrate it, observing all its rules and regulations."	3 nel quartodecimo dì di questo mese al vespro, secondo le loro solennitadi e santificazioni.
4 Moses, therefore, told the Israelites to celebrate the Passover.	4 Comandò Moisè ai figliuoli d'Israel, che facessero la pasqua.
5 And they did so, celebrating the Passover in the desert of Sinai during the evening twilight of the fourteenth day of the first month, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.	5 E loro la fecero nel tempo suo, nel quarto decimo dì al vespro, nel monte di Sinai. E secondo che Iddio comandò, così fecero i figliuoli d'Israel.
6 There were some, however, who were unclean because of a human corpse and so could not keep the Passover that day. These men came up to Moses and Aaron that same day	6 Ed ecco alquanti immondi (cioè peccatori contro a' loro prossimi) che non poteano fare la pasqua in quello dì, andarono a Moisè e ad Aaron;
7 and said, "Although we are unclean because of a corpse, why should we be deprived of presenting the LORD'S offering at its proper time along with the other Israelites?"	7 e dissero: noi siamo immondi sopra'nostri prossimi; perchè siamo noi defraudati, che non pote mo fare oblazione a Dio, nel tempo suo, cogli altri figliuoli d'Israel?
8 Moses answered them, "Wait until I learn what the LORD will command in your regard."	8 E Moisè respuose: aspettate, tanto ch' io sap pia da Dio quello che ne comanda di voi.
9 The LORD then said to Moses:	9 Parlò Iddio a Moisè, e dissegli:
10 "Speak to the Israelites and say: If any one of you or of your descendants is unclean because of a corpse, or if he is absent on a journey, he may still keep the LORD'S Passover.	10 Parla ai figliuoli d'Israel, (e di' loro): l'uomo che sarà immondo sopra l'anima, o sarà dalla lunga in via, faccia la sua festa
11 But he shall keep it in the second month, during the evening twilight of the fourteenth day of that month, eating it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs,	11 nel secondo mese, nello quartodecimo dì al vespro; coll'azime, e con lattughe agreste (cioè la indivia), mangeranno quella oblazione.
12 and not leaving any of it over till morning, nor breaking any of its bones, but observing all the rules of the Passover.	12 E non ne lasceranno nulla (nella terra) per sino all'altra mattina; e non romperanno alcun osso; e osserveranno tutti i costumi che si fanno nella pasqua.
13 However, anyone who is clean and not away on a journey, who yet fails to keep the Passover, shall be cut off from his people, because he did not present the LORD'S offering at the prescribed time. That man shall bear the consequences of his sin.	13 E se alcuno non vi fosse immondo nè dalla lunga, e non facesse la pasqua cogli altri, sia levato dal popolo suo; però che non fece lo sacrificio a Dio nel tempo suo; e del peccato suo porterà la pena.
14 "If an alien who lives among you wishes to keep the LORD'S Passover, he too shall observe the rules and regulations for the Passover. You shall have the same law for the resident alien as for the native of the land."	14 E se peregrino o forestiere sarà fra voi, faccia la pasqua nella solennità, secondo l'usanza di Dio. Quello comandamento sarà a' peregrini e a' forestieri, che è a voi.
15 On the day when the Dwelling was erected, the cloud covered the Dwelling, the tent of the commandments; but from evening until morning it took on the appearance of fire over the Dwelling.	15 E in quello dì che lo tabernacolo si rizzò in alto, sì lo coperse (Iddio d') una nebbia; e nel vespro appariva sopra la copritura come una spiera di fuoco; e bastò insino alla mattina.
16 It was always so: during the day the Dwelling was covered by the cloud, which at night had the appearance of fire.	16 E così facea continuo; il die lo copriva la nebbia, e la notte il fuoco.
17 Whenever the cloud rose from the tent, the Israelites would break camp; wherever the cloud came to rest, they would pitch camp.	17 E quando la nebbia cessava via del tabernacolo, i figliuoli d'Israel andavano; dove la nebbia si riposava, e ivi abitavano.
18 At the bidding of the LORD the Israelites moved on, and at his bidding they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the Dwelling, they remained in camp.	18 Al comandamento di Dio andavano, e al comandamento di Dio (si riposavano, e) ponevano lo tabernacolo. E tutto quello tempo che la nebbia istava sopra lo tabernacolo, istavano in quello luogo.
19 Even when the cloud tarried many days over the Dwelling, the Israelites obeyed the LORD and would not move on;	19 E se avvenisse che stesse per molto tempo, i figliuoli d'Israel stavano nelle custodie del Signore; e non andavano,
20 yet sometimes the cloud was over the Dwelling only for a few days. It was at the bidding of the LORD that they stayed in camp, and it was at his bidding that they departed.	20 quanto tempo istava la nebbia sopra il tabernacolo. Al comandamento [di Dio ] levavano loro coprimento, e al suo comandamento il ponevano giù.
21 Sometimes the cloud remained there only from evening until morning; and when it rose in the morning, they would depart. Or if the cloud lifted during the day, or even at night, they would then set out.	21 Se la nebbia fosse istata dal vespro insino alla mattina, e la mattina si fosse partita dal tabernacolo, (incontenente) andavano. E se fosse istata uno di e una notte, e poi levatasi, ne guastavano quelli loro coprimenti (che avevano fatti).
22 Whether the cloud tarried over the Dwelling for two days or for a month or longer, the Israelites remained in camp and did not depart; but when it lifted, they moved on.	22 E se duo dì, e uno mese, o più tempo fosse istata sopra lo tabernacolo, istavano i figliuoli d'Israel in quello luogo, e non andavano; imman tenente ch' ella si partia, (andarano, e) movevano le loro abitazioni.
23 Thus, it was always at the bidding of the LORD that they encamped, and at his bidding that they set out; ever heeding the charge of the LORD, as he had bidden them through Moses.	23 Per le parole di Dio andavano e istavano; e stavano nelle guardie del Signore, secondo che Iddio comandava loro per Moisè.
