NEW AMERICAN BIBLE	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 In the first month of the year following their departure from the land of Egypt, the Lord said to Moses in the desert of Sinai,	1 وكلم الرب موسى في برية سيناء في السنة الثانية لخروجهم من ارض مصر في الشهر الاول قائلا.
2 "Tell the Israelites to celebrate the Passover at the prescribed time.	2 وليعمل بنو اسرائيل الفصح في وقته.
3 The evening twilight of the fourteenth day of this month is the prescribed time when you shall celebrate it, observing all its rules and regulations."	3 في اليوم الرابع عشر من هذا الشهر بين العشاءين تعملونه في وقته. حسب كل فرائضه وكل احكامه تعملونه.
4 Moses, therefore, told the Israelites to celebrate the Passover.	4 فكلم موسى بني اسرائيل ان يعملوا الفصح.
5 And they did so, celebrating the Passover in the desert of Sinai during the evening twilight of the fourteenth day of the first month, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.	5 فعملوا الفصح في الشهر الاول في اليوم الرابع عشر من الشهر بين العشاءين في برية سيناء حسب كل ما امر الرب موسى هكذا فعل بنو اسرائيل
6 There were some, however, who were unclean because of a human corpse and so could not keep the Passover that day. These men came up to Moses and Aaron that same day	6 لكن كان قوم قد تنجسوا لانسان ميت فلم يحل لهم ان يعملوا الفصح في ذلك اليوم فتقدموا امام موسى وهرون في ذلك اليوم.
7 and said, "Although we are unclean because of a corpse, why should we be deprived of presenting the LORD'S offering at its proper time along with the other Israelites?"	7 وقال له اولئك الناس اننا متنجسون لانسان ميت. لماذا نترك حتى لا نقرّب قربان الرب في وقته بين بني اسرائيل.
8 Moses answered them, "Wait until I learn what the LORD will command in your regard."	8 فقال لهم موسى قفوا لأسمع ما يامر به الرب من جهتكم
9 The LORD then said to Moses:	9 فكلم الرب موسى قائلا.
10 "Speak to the Israelites and say: If any one of you or of your descendants is unclean because of a corpse, or if he is absent on a journey, he may still keep the LORD'S Passover.	10 كلم بني اسرائيل قائلا. كل انسان منكم او من اجيالكم كان نجسا لميت او في سفر بعيد فليعمل الفصح للرب.
11 But he shall keep it in the second month, during the evening twilight of the fourteenth day of that month, eating it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs,	11 في الشهر الثاني في اليوم الرابع عشر بين العشاءين يعملونه. على فطير ومرار يأكلونه.
12 and not leaving any of it over till morning, nor breaking any of its bones, but observing all the rules of the Passover.	12 لا يبقوا منه الى الصباح ولا يكسروا عظما منه. حسب كل فرائض الفصح يعملونه.
13 However, anyone who is clean and not away on a journey, who yet fails to keep the Passover, shall be cut off from his people, because he did not present the LORD'S offering at the prescribed time. That man shall bear the consequences of his sin.	13 لكن من كان طاهرا وليس في سفر وترك عمل الفصح تقطع تلك النفس من شعبها لانها لم تقرّب قربان الرب في وقته. ذلك الانسان يحمل خطيته.
14 "If an alien who lives among you wishes to keep the LORD'S Passover, he too shall observe the rules and regulations for the Passover. You shall have the same law for the resident alien as for the native of the land."	14 واذا نزل عندكم غريب فليعمل فصحا للرب. حسب فريضة الفصح وحكمه كذلك يعمل. فريضة واحدة تكون لكم للغريب ولوطنيّ الارض
15 On the day when the Dwelling was erected, the cloud covered the Dwelling, the tent of the commandments; but from evening until morning it took on the appearance of fire over the Dwelling.	15 وفي يوم اقامة المسكن غطت السحابة المسكن خيمة الشهادة. وفي المساء كان على المسكن كمنظر نار الى الصباح.
16 It was always so: during the day the Dwelling was covered by the cloud, which at night had the appearance of fire.	16 هكذا كان دائما. السحابة تغطيه ومنظر النار ليلا.
17 Whenever the cloud rose from the tent, the Israelites would break camp; wherever the cloud came to rest, they would pitch camp.	17 ومتى ارتفعت السحابة عن الخيمة كان بعد ذلك بنو اسرائيل يرتحلون. وفي المكان حيث حلّت السحابة هناك كان بنو اسرائيل ينزلون.
18 At the bidding of the LORD the Israelites moved on, and at his bidding they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the Dwelling, they remained in camp.	18 حسب قول الرب كان بنو اسرائيل يرتحلون وحسب قول الرب كانوا ينزلون. جميع ايام حلول السحابة على المسكن كانوا ينزلون.
19 Even when the cloud tarried many days over the Dwelling, the Israelites obeyed the LORD and would not move on;	19 واذا تمادت السحابة على المسكن اياما كثيرة كان بنو اسرائيل يحرسون حراسة الرب ولا يرتحلون.
20 yet sometimes the cloud was over the Dwelling only for a few days. It was at the bidding of the LORD that they stayed in camp, and it was at his bidding that they departed.	20 واذا كانت السحابة اياما قليلة على المسكن فحسب قول الرب كانوا ينزلون وحسب قول الرب كانوا يرتحلون
21 Sometimes the cloud remained there only from evening until morning; and when it rose in the morning, they would depart. Or if the cloud lifted during the day, or even at night, they would then set out.	21 واذا كانت السحابة من المساء الى الصباح ثم ارتفعت السحابة في الصباح كانوا يرتحلون. او يوما وليلة ثم ارتفعت السحابة كانوا يرتحلون.
22 Whether the cloud tarried over the Dwelling for two days or for a month or longer, the Israelites remained in camp and did not depart; but when it lifted, they moved on.	22 او يومين او شهرا او سنة متى تمادت السحابة على المسكن حالّة عليه كان بنو اسرائيل ينزلون ولا يرتحلون ومتى ارتفعت كانوا يرتحلون.
23 Thus, it was always at the bidding of the LORD that they encamped, and at his bidding that they set out; ever heeding the charge of the LORD, as he had bidden them through Moses.	23 حسب قول الرب كانوا ينزلون وحسب قول الرب كانوا يرتحلون وكانوا يحرسون حراسة الرب حسب قول الرب بيد موسى
