1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 Le Seigneur parla à Moïse, et lui dit:
2 "Give the Israelites these instructions: When you have entered the land that I will give you for your homesteads,	2 Parlez aux enfants d'Israël, et dites-leur: Lorsque vous serez entrés dans le pays que Je vous donnerai pour y habiter,
3 if you make to the LORD a sweet-smelling oblation from the herd or from the flock, in holocaust, in fulfillment of a vow, or as a freewill offering, or for one of your festivals,	3 et que vous offrirez au Seigneur ou un holocauste, ou une victime en vous acquitant de vos voeux, ou en Lui offrant volontairement vos dons, ou en faisant brûler dans vos fêtes solennelles des offrandes d'une odeur agréable au Seigneur, soit de boeufs ou de brebis;
4 whoever does so shall also present to the LORD a cereal offering consisting of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a fourth of a hin of oil,	4 quiconque aura immolé l'hostie offrira pour le sacrifice de farine la dixième partie d'un éphi, mêlée avec une mesure d'huile qui tiendra la quatrième partie du hin;
5 as well as a libation of a fourth of a hin of wine, with each lamb sacrificed in holocaust or otherwise.	5 et il donnera, soit pour l'holocauste, soit pour la victime, la même mesure de vin pour l'oblation de liqueur.
6 With each sacrifice of a ram you shall present a cereal offering of two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil,	6 Pour chaque agneau et pour chaque bélier, il offrira en sacrifice deux dixièmes de farine mêlée avec une mesure d'huile de la troisième partie du hin;
7 and a libation of a third of a hin of wine, thus making a sweet-smelling offering to the LORD.	7 et il offrira en oblation de liqueur la troisième partie de la même mesure comme un sacrifice d'une odeur agréable au Seigneur.
8 When you sacrifice an ox as a holocaust, or in fulfillment of a vow, or as a peace offering to the LORD,	8 Mais lorsque vous offrirez des boeufs, ou en holocauste, ou en sacrifice, pour accomplir votre voeu, ou pour offrir des victimes pacifiques,
9 with it you shall present a cereal offering of three tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil,	9 vous donnerez pour chaque boeuf trois dixièmes de farine mêlée avec une mesure d'huile de la moitié du hin;
10 and a libation of half a hin of wine, as a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.	10 et vous y joindrez pour offrande de liqueur la même mesure de vin, comme une oblation d'une odeur très agréable au Seigneur.
11 The same is to be done for each ox, ram, lamb or goat.	11 Vous en userez de même
12 Whatever the number you offer, do the same for each of them.	12 pour tous les boeufs, les béliers, les agneaux et les chevreaux que vous offrirez.
13 "All the native-born shall make these offerings in the same way, whenever they present a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.	13 Les indigènes et les étrangers
14 Likewise, in any future generation, any alien residing with you permanently or for a time, who presents a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD, shall do as you do.	14 offriront les sacrifices avec les mêmes cérémonies.
15 There is but one rule for you and for the resident alien, a perpetual rule for all your descendants. Before the LORD you and the alien are alike,	15 Il n'y aura qu'une même loi et une même ordonnance, soit pour vous, soit pour ceux qui sont étrangers dans votre pays.
16 with the same law and the same application of it for the alien residing among you as for yourselves."	16 Le Seigneur parla à Moïse, et lui dit:
17 The LORD said to Moses,	17 Parlez aux enfants d'Israël, et dites-leur:
18 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you enter the land into which I will bring you	18 Lorsque vous serez arrivés dans la terre que Je vous donnerai,
19 and begin to eat of the food of that land, you shall offer the LORD a contribution	19 et que vous mangerez des pains de ce pays-là, vous mettrez à part pour le Seigneur les prémices
20 consisting of a cake of your first batch of dough. You shall offer it just as you offer a contribution from the threshing floor.	20 de vos mets. Comme vous mettez à part les prémices des grains de l'aire;
21 Throughout your generations you shall give a contribution to the LORD from your first batch of dough.	21 vous donnerez aussi au Seigneur les prémices de la farine que vous pétrirez.
22 "When through inadvertence you fail to carry out any of these commandments which the LORD gives to Moses,	22 Que si vous oubliez par ignorance de faire quelqu'une des choses que le Seigneur a dites à Moïse,
23 and through Moses to you, from the time the LORD first issues the commandment down through your generations:	23 et qu'Il vous a ordonnées par lui depuis le jour où Il a commencé à vous faire des commandements, et plus tard;
24 if the community itself unwittingly becomes guilty of the fault of inadvertence, the whole community shall offer the holocaust of one young bull as a sweet-smelling oblation pleasing to the LORD, along with its prescribed cereal offering and libation, as well as one he-goat as a sin offering.	24 et si toute la multitude du peuple est tombée dans cet oubli, ils offriront un veau du troupeau en holocauste d'une odeur très agréable au Seigneur, avec l'oblation de la farine et des liqueurs, comme le prescrivent les cérémonies, et un bouc pour le péché.
25 Then the priest shall make atonement for the whole Israelite community; thus they will be forgiven the inadvertence for which they have brought their holocaust as an oblation to the LORD.	25 Et le prêtre priera pour toute la multitude des enfants d'Israël, et il leur sera pardonné, parce qu'ils n'ont pas péché volontairement; et ils ne laisseront pas néanmoins d'offrir l'holocauste au Seigneur, pour eux-mêmes, pour leur péché et leur ignorance;
26 Not only the whole Israelite community, but also the aliens residing among you, shall be forgiven, since the fault of inadvertence affects all the people.	26 et il sera pardonné ainsi à tout le peuple des enfants d'Israël, et aux étrangers qui seront venus demeurer parmi eux; parce que c'est une faute que tout le peuple a faite par ignorance.
27 "However, if it is an individual who sins inadvertently, he shall bring a yearling she-goat as a sin offering,	27 Que si une personne privée a péché par ignorance, elle offrira une chèvre d'un an pour son péché;
28 and the priest shall make atonement before the LORD for him who sinned inadvertently; when atonement has been made for him, he will be forgiven.	28 et le prêtre priera pour elle, parce qu'elle a péché devant le Seigneur sans le savoir; et il obtiendra le pardon pour elle, et sa faute lui sera remise.
29 You shall have but one law for him who sins inadvertently, whether he be a native Israelite or an alien residing with you.	29 La même loi sera gardée pour tous ceux qui auront péché par ignorance, qu'ils soient du pays ou étrangers.
30 "But anyone who sins defiantly, whether he be a native or an alien, insults the LORD, and shall be cut off from among his people.	30 Mais celui qui aura commis quelque péché par orgueil périra du milieu de son peuple, qu'il soit citoyen ou étranger, parce qu'il a été rebelle contre le Seigneur.
31 Since he has despised the word of the LORD and has broken his commandment, he must be cut off. He has only himself to blame."	31 Car il a méprisé la parole du Seigneur, et il a rendu vaine Son ordonnance; c'est pourquoi il sera exterminé, et il portera la peine de son iniquité.
32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was discovered gathering wood on the sabbath day.	32 Or, tandis que les enfants d'Israël étaient dans le désert, il arriva qu'ils trouvèrent un homme qui ramassait du bois le jour du sabbat;
33 Those who caught him at it brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly.	33 et l'ayant présenté à Moïse, à Aaron et à tout le peuple,
34 But they kept him in custody, for there was no clear decision as to what should be done with him.	34 ils le firent mettre en prison, ne sachant ce qu'ils en devaient faire.
35 Then the LORD said to Moses, "This man shall be put to death; let the whole community stone him outside the camp."	35 Alors le Seigneur dit à Moïse: Que cet homme soit puni de mort, et que tout le peuple le lapide hors du camp.
36 So the whole community led him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD had commanded Moses.	36 Ils le firent donc sortir dehors, et le lapidèrent; et il mourut selon que le Seigneur l'avait commandé.
37 The LORD said to Moses,	37 Le Seigneur dit aussi à Moïse:
38 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them that they and their descendants must put tassels on the corners of their garments, fastening each corner tassel with a violet cord.	38 Parlez aux enfants d'Israël, et dites-leur de mettre des franges aux coins de leurs manteaux, et d'y joindre des bandes de couleur d'hyacinthe,
39 When you use these tassels, let the sight of them remind you to keep all the commandments of the LORD, without going wantonly astray after the desires of your hearts and eyes.	39 afin que, les voyant, ils se souviennent de tous les commandements du Seigneur, et qu'ils ne suivent point leurs pensées ni l'égarement de leurs yeux, qui se prostituent à divers objets;
40 Thus you will remember to keep all my commandments and be holy to your God.	40 mais que, se souvenant au contraire des ordonnances du Seigneur, ils les accomplissent, et qu'ils se conservent saints pour leur Dieu.
41 I, the LORD, am your God who, as God, brought you out of Egypt that I, the LORD, may be your God."	41 Je suis le Seigneur votre Dieu, qui vous ai tirés de l'Egypte, afin que Je fusse votre Dieu.
