1 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:	1 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
2 As for you, son of man, utter a lament over Tyre,	2 "Tu, figlio dell'uomo, eleva su Tiro una lamentazione.
3 and say to Tyre that is situated at the approaches of the sea, that brought the trade of the peoples to many a coastland: Thus says the Lord GOD: Tyre, you said, "I am a ship, perfect in beauty."	3 Di' a Tiro: Tiro, che regna all'ingresso del mare, commercia con popoli presso tanti lidi: così dice il Signore Dio: Tiro, fosti detta nave di perfetta bellezza.
4 In the midst of the sea your builders placed you, perfected your beauty.	4 Nel cuore del mare sono i tuoi confini, i tuoi costruttori ti hanno reso bellissima.
5 With cypress from Senir they built for you all of your decks; Cedar from Lebanon they took to make you a mast;	5 Con cipresso di Senìr hanno costruito tutte le tue zattere, cedro del Libano hanno preso per farti l'albero maestro.
6 From the highest oaks of Bashan they made your oars; Your bridge they made of cypress wood from the coasts of Kittim.	6 Con querce di Basan hanno costruito i tuoi remi, la tettoia te l'hanno fatta d'avorio, la cabina di conifere dei lidi dei Chittim.

14 From Beth-togarmah horses, steeds, and mules were exchanged for your wares.	14 Da Togarmà, in cambio di cavalli e cavalieri e muli, diffondevano i tuoi prodotti.
15 The Rhodanites trafficked with you; many coastlands traded with you; ivory tusks and ebony wood they gave you for payment.	15 I figli di Dedan trafficavano con te, numerosi lidi negoziavano con te, zanne d'avorio ed ebano ti restituivano in paga.
16 Edom traded with you, so many were your products, exchanging garnets, purple, embroidered cloth, fine linen, coral, and rubies for your wares.	16 Aram negoziava con te per l'abbondanza dei tuoi prodotti; in cambio di granato, porpora scarlatta e variopinta, bisso, corallo rosso e rubini diffondevano i tuoi prodotti.
17 Judah and the land of Israel trafficked with you, exchanging Minnith wheat, figs, honey, oil, and balm for your goods.	17 Giuda e il paese d'Israele trafficavano con te. In cambio di grano di Minnìt ti portavano profumi, miele, olio e balsamo.
18 Damascus traded with you, so great was your wealth, exchanging Helbon wine and Zahar wool.	18 Damasco negoziava con te per l'abbondanza dei tuoi lavori e la molteplicità d'ogni bene; ti forniva il vino di Chelbòn e la lana di Zacar.

21 The trade of Arabia and of all the sheikhs of Kedar belonged to you; they dealt in lambs, rams, and goats.	21 L'Arabia e tutti i prìncipi di Kedàr mercanteggiavano con te; in agnelli, montoni e capri negoziavano con te.
22 The merchants of Sheba and Raamah also traded with you, exchanging for your wares the very choicest spices, all kinds of precious stones, and gold.	22 I mercanti di Saba e Raemà trafficavano con te; per le prime qualità di balsamo e ogni genere di pietra preziosa e oro diffondevano i tuoi prodotti.
23 Haran, Canneh, and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Asshur, and Chilmad	23 Carran, Cannè, Eden, i mercanti di Saba, Assur, Kilmàd trafficavano con te.
24 traded with you, marketing with you rich garments, violet mantles, embroidered cloth, varicolored carpets, and firmly woven cords.	24 Essi scambiavano con te indumenti di prima qualità, mantelli di porpora e stoffe variopinte, tappeti variegati, corde intrecciate e solide sui tuoi mercati.
25 Ships of Tarshish journeyed for you in your merchandising. You were full and heavily laden in the heart of the sea.	25 Le navi di Tarsis erano alle tue dipendenze per la tua merce. Ti sei riempita e ingrandita molto nel cuore del mare;
26 Through the deep waters your oarsmen brought you home, But the east wind smashed you in the heart of the sea.	26 nelle grandi acque ti hanno fatto navigare i tuoi naviganti, ma il vento orientale ti ha distrutta nel cuore del mare.
27 Your wealth, your goods, your wares, your sailors, and your crew, (the caulkers of your seams, those who traded for your goods, all your warriors who were in you, and all the great crowd within you) Sank into the heart of the sea on the day of your shipwreck.	27 I tuoi beni e la tua roba, la tua merce, i tuoi naviganti e piloti, quelli che riparavano le tue falle e quelli che commerciavano la tua merce e tutti i tuoi soldati che sono in te e tutta l'accolta di gente che è dentro di te cadono in fondo al mare, nel giorno della tua rovina.
28 Hearing the shouts of your mariners, the shores begin to quake.	28 Al sentire il grido dei tuoi naviganti tremano le località vicine,
29 Down from their ships come all who ply the oar; The sailors, all the mariners of the sea, stand on the shore,	29 scendono dalle loro navi tutti quelli che tengono il remo, naviganti, piloti tutti del mare si fermano a terra
30 Making their voice heard on your behalf, shouting bitter cries, Strewing dust on their heads, rolling in the ashes.	30 e fanno sentire i loro clamori su di te; gridano amareggiati, si gettano polvere in testa, si avvoltolano nella cenere.

32 In their mourning they utter a lament over you; thus they wail over you: Who was ever destroyed like Tyre in the midst of the sea?	32 Nel loro gemito innalzano per te una lamentazione, si lamentano su di te: "Chi era come Tiro, una fortezza in mezzo al mare?".
33 With your goods which you drew from the seas you filled many peoples; With your great wealth and merchandise you enriched the kings of the earth.	33 Scaricando dal mare i tuoi prodotti, hai saziato molti popoli, con la quantità dei tuoi beni e della tua merce hai reso più felici i re della terra.
34 Now you are wrecked in the sea, in the watery depths; Your wares and all your crew have gone down with you.	34 E ora sei distrutta dal mare negli abissi marini; la tua merce e tutta la tua accolta di gente dentro di te è affondata.
35 All who dwell on the coastlands are aghast over you, Their kings are terrified, their faces convulsed.	35 I regnanti di tutti i lidi sono restati stupefatti per te, ai loro re si sono rizzati i capelli, il loro volto è triste.
36 The traders among the peoples now hiss at you; You have become a horror, and you shall be no more.	36 I negozianti tra i popoli ti fischiarono: diventasti un oggetto di orrore e non esisterai mai più".
