1 Concerning the Ammonites, thus says the LORD: Has Israel no sons? has he no heir? Why then has Milcom disinherited Gad, why have his people settled in Gad's cities?	1 A los ammonitas. Así dice Yahveh: ¿Hijos no tiene Israel? ¿o heredero no tiene? Entonces ¿por qué ha heredado Milkom a Gad, y su pueblo en las ciudades de éste habita?
2 But the days are coming, says the LORD, when against Rabbah of the Ammonites I will sound the battle alarm; She shall become a mound of ruins, and her daughter cities shall be destroyed by fire. 7 Concerning Edom, thus says the LORD of hosts: Is there no more wisdom in Teman, has counsel perished from the prudent, has their wisdom become corrupt?	7 A Edom. Así dice Yahveh Sebaot: ¿No queda ya sabiduría en Temán? ¿Pereció la prudencia de los entendidos, se evaporó su sabiduría?
8 Flee, retreat, hide in deep holes, you who live in Dedan: For I will bring destruction upon Esau when I come to punish him.	8 Huid, dad media vuelta, buscad profunda morada, moradores de Dedán, porque el infortunio de Esaú he traído sobre él, la hora de su visita.
9 If vintagers came upon you, they would leave no gleanings; If thieves by night, they would destroy as they pleased.	9 Si vinieran a ti vendimiadores, ¿no dejarían rebuscos? Si ladrones por la noche, dañarían hasta donde les bastase.
10 So I myself will strip Esau; I will uncover his retreats so that he cannot hide. 12 For thus says the LORD: Even those not sentenced to drink the cup must drink it! Shall you then go unpunished? You shall not go unpunished; you shall surely drink it.	12 Pues así dice Yahveh: Conque los que no tienen por qué beber la copa la beben, ¿y tú precisamente vas a quedar impune? No quedarás impune, antes sin falta la beberás.
13 By my own self I have sworn, says the LORD: Bozrah shall become an object of horror and a disgrace, a desolation and a curse; she and all her cities shall become ruins forever.	13 Porque por mí lo he jurado - oráculo de Yahveh - que en desolación se convertirá Bosrá, y todas sus ciudades se convertirán en ruinas eternas.
14 I have heard a report from the LORD, a herald has been sent among the nations: Gather together, move against her, rise up for battle.	14 Una nueva he oído de parte de Yahveh, un mensajero entre las naciones enviado: «Juntaos y venid contra él y poneos en pie de guerra».

17 Edom shall become an object of horror. Every passer-by shall be appalled and catch his breath at all her wounds.	17 Edom parará en desolación: todo el que pase a su vera se asombrará y silbará al ver todas sus heridas.
18 As when Sodom, Gomorrah, and their neighbors were overthrown, says the LORD, not a man shall dwell there: no one shall visit there.	18 Cual la catástrofe de Sodoma y Gomorra y sus vecinas - dice Yahveh - donde no vive nadie, ni reside en ellas ser humano.
19 As when a lion comes up from the thicket of Jordan to the permanent feeding grounds, So I, in an instant, will drive men off; and whom I choose I will establish there! For who is like me? who can call me to account? What shepherd can stand against me?	19 Vedlo como león que sube del boscaje del Jordán hacia el pastizal perenne, cuando en un instante le haré salir huyendo de allí, para colocar allí a quien me plazca. Porque ¿quién como yo, y quién me emplazará, y quién es el pastor que aguante en mi presencia?
20 Therefore, hear the counsel of the LORD, which he has taken against Edom; Hear the plans he has made against those that live in Teman: They shall be dragged away, even the smallest sheep, their own pasture shall be aghast because of them.	20 Así pues, oíd la decisión que Yahveh ha tomado sobre Edom y sus planes sobre los moradores de Temán. Juro que les han de llevar a rastras las crías de los rebaños, que asolarán sobre ellos sus pastizales.

22 See! like an eagle he soars aloft, and spreads his wings over Bozrah; On that day the hearts of Edom's heroes shall be like the heart of a woman in travail.Concerning Damascus:	22 Ved cómo cual un águila sube, se remonta y extiende sus alas sobre Bosrá; y vendrá a ser el corazón de los valientes de Edom en aquel día como corazón de mujer en parto.
23 Hamath and Arpad are covered with shame, they have heard bad news; Worried, they toss like the sea which cannot rest.	23 A Damasco. Avergonzadas están Jamat y Arpad. Porque una noticia mala oyeron, su corazón tembló de espanto; como el mar que no se puede calmar.

27 I will set fire to the wall of Damascus, and it shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.	27 Prenderé fuego a la muralla de Damasco, y consumirá los alcázares de Ben Hadad.
28 Of Kedar and the kingdoms of Hazor, defeated by Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, thus says the LORD: Rise up, attack Kedar, ravage the Easterners.	28 A Quedar y a los reinos de Jasor, que batió Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia. Así dice Yahveh: Alzaos, subid a Quedar y saquead a los hijos de oriente.
29 Their tents and herds shall be taken away, their tent curtains and all their goods; Their camels they shall carry off for themselves, and shout from upon them, "Terror on every side!"	29 Sus tiendas y rebaños serán tomados; sus toldos y todo su ajuar y sus camellos les serán arrebatados, y a ellos se les llamará «Terror por doquier».
30 Flee! leave your homes, hide in deep holes, you that live in Hazor, says the LORD; For counsel has been taken against you, a plan has been formed against you (Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon).	30 Huid, emigrad muy lejos, buscad profunda morada, moradores de Jasor - oráculo de Yahveh - porque ha tomado contra vosotros Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, una decisión, y ha trazado un plan contra vosotros.
31 Rise up! set out against a nation that is at peace, that lives secure, says the LORD, That has no gates or bars, and dwells alone.	31 Alzaos, subid contra la nación pacífica que vive confiada - oráculo de Yahveh -. Ni puertas ni cerrojos tiene. En aislamiento viven.
32 Their camels shall be your booty, their many herds your spoil; I will scatter to the winds those who shave their temples, from all sides I will bring ruin upon them, says the LORD.	32 Y serán sus camellos objeto del pillaje y el tropel de sus ganados para botín, y esparciré a todo viento a los que se afeitan las sienes, y de todos sus aledaños traeré su infortunio - oráculo de Yahveh -.
33 Hazor shall become a haunt of jackals, a desert forever, Where no man lives, no human being stays.	33 Y vendrá a ser Jasor guarida de chacales, desolación sempiterna, donde no se asienta nadie y en la que no reside ser humano.
34 The following word of the LORD against Elam came to the prophet Jeremiah at the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah, king of Judah:	34 Lo que fue dicho por Yahveh al profeta Jeremías tocante a Elam en el principio del reinado de Sedecías, rey de Judá.
35 Thus says the LORD of hosts: Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the mainstay of their might.	35 Así dice Yahveh Sebaot: He aquí que yo rompo el arco de Elam, primicia de su fuerza
36 I will bring upon Elam the four winds from the four ends of the heavens: I will scatter them to all these winds, till there is no nation to which the outcasts of Elam shall not come.	36 y voy a traer sobre Elam los cuatro vientos desde los cuatro cabos de los cielos, y a ellos les esparciré a todos estos vientos, y no habrá nación a donde no lleguen los arrojados de Elam.
37 I will break Elam before their foes, before those who seek their life; I will bring evil upon them, my burning wrath, says the LORD. I will send the sword to pursue them until I have completely made an end of them;	37 Haré desmayar a Elam ante sus enemigos y ante los que buscan su muerte y traeré sobre ellos cosa mala, el ardor de mi ira - oráculo de Yahveh - y soltaré tras ellos la espada hasta acabarlos.
38 My throne I will set up in Elam and destroy from there king and princes, says the LORD.	38 Pondré mi trono en Elam y haré desaparecer de allí a rey y jefes - oráculo de Yahveh -.
39 But in the days to come I will change the lot of Elam, says the LORD.	39 Luego, en días futuros, haré volver a los cautivos de Elam - oráculo de Yahveh -.
