1 Wine is arrogant, strong drink is riotous; none who goes astray for it is wise.	1 Il vino è schernitore, e la cervogia è tumultuante; E chiunque ne è vago non è savio
2 The dread of the king is as when a lion roars; he who incurs his anger forfeits his life.	2 Il terrore del re è come il ruggito del leoncello; Chi lo provoca ad indegnazione pecca contro a sè stesso
3 It is honorable for a man to shun strife, while every fool starts a quarrel.	3 Egli è gloria all’uomo di rimanersi di contesa; Ma chiunque è stolto si fa schernire
4 In seedtime the sluggard plows not; when he looks for the harvest, it is not there.	4 Il pigro non ara per cagion del freddo; E poi nella ricolta va accattando, e non trova nulla
