2 How lovely your dwelling, O LORD of hosts!	2 Benedixisti, Domine, terram tuam ; avertisti captivitatem Jacob.
3 My soul yearns and pines for the courts of the LORD. My heart and flesh cry out for the living God.	3 Remisisti iniquitatem plebis tuæ ; operuisti omnia peccata eorum.
4 As the sparrow finds a home and the swallow a nest to settle her young, My home is by your altars, LORD of hosts, my king and my God!	4 Mitigasti omnem iram tuam ; avertisti ab ira indignationis tuæ.
5 Happy are those who dwell in your house! They never cease to praise you. Selah	5 Converte nos, Deus salutaris noster, et averte iram tuam a nobis.
6 Happy are those who find refuge in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrim roads.	6 Numquid in æternum irasceris nobis ? aut extendes iram tuam a generatione in generationem ?
7 As they pass through the Baca valley, they find spring water to drink. Also from pools the Lord provides water for those who lose their way.	7 Deus, tu conversus vivificabis nos, et plebs tua lætabitur in te.
8 They pass through outer and inner wall and see the God of gods on Zion.	8 Ostende nobis, Domine, misericordiam tuam, et salutare tuum da nobis.
9 LORD of hosts, hear my prayer; listen, God of Jacob. Selah	9 Audiam quid loquatur in me Dominus Deus, quoniam loquetur pacem in plebem suam, et super sanctos suos, et in eos qui convertuntur ad cor.
10 O God, look kindly on our shield; look upon the face of your anointed.	10 Verumtamen prope timentes eum salutare ipsius, ut inhabitet gloria in terra nostra.
11 Better one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere. Better the threshold of the house of my God than a home in the tents of the wicked.	11 Misericordia et veritas obviaverunt sibi ; justitia et pax osculatæ sunt.
12 For a sun and shield is the LORD God, bestowing all grace and glory. The LORD withholds no good thing from those who walk without reproach.	12 Veritas de terra orta est, et justitia de cælo prospexit.
13 O LORD of hosts, happy are those who trust in you!	13 Etenim Dominus dabit benignitatem, et terra nostra dabit fructum suum.
	14 Justitia ante eum ambulabit, et ponet in via gressus suos.
