¹ For the leader. A psalm of David. A song.	¹ Ao mestre do coro. Cântico. Salmo. Aclamai Deus, habitantes todos da terra,
² To you we owe our hymn of praise, O God on Zion; To you our vows must be fulfilled,	² cantai a glória do seu nome, tributai-lhe magnífico louvor.
³ you who hear our prayers. To you all flesh must come	³ Dizei a Deus: Quão assombrosas são, Senhor, as tuas obras! Por causa da grandeza do teu poder os teus inimigos lisonjeiam-te.
⁴ with its burden of wicked deeds. We are overcome by our sins; only you can pardon them.	⁴ Toda a terra te adore e te cante, cante o teu nome.
⁵ Happy the chosen ones you bring to dwell in your courts. May we be filled with the good things of your house, the blessings of your holy temple!	⁵ Vinde, e vede as obras de Deus: operou coisas assombrosas entre os filhos dos homens!
⁶ You answer us with awesome deeds of justice, O God our savior, The hope of all the ends of the earth and of far distant islands.	⁶ Converteu o mar em terra firme; passaram o rio a pé enxuto; alegremo-nos, pois, nele!
⁷ You are robed in power, you set up the mountains by your might.	⁷ Domina com o seu poder para sempre, os seus olhos contemplam as nações: não se ensoberbeçam os rebeldes.
⁸ You still the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, the tumult of the peoples.	⁸ Bendizei, nações, o nosso Deus e propagai o seu louvor,
⁹ Distant peoples stand in awe of your marvels; east and west you make resound with joy.	⁹ (pois foi ele) que deu vida à nossa alma e não permitiu que os nossos pés vacilassem.
¹⁰ You visit the earth and water it, make it abundantly fertile. God's stream is filled with water; with it you supply the world with grain. Thus do you prepare the earth:	¹⁰ Porquanto nos provaste, ó Deus; com fogo nos acrisolaste, como se acrisola a prata;
¹¹ you drench plowed furrows, and level their ridges. With showers you keep the ground soft, blessing its young sprouts.	¹¹ fizeste-nos cair no laço; pesada carga puseste às nossas costas;
¹² You adorn the year with your bounty; your paths drip with fruitful rain.	¹² fizeste passar homens sobre as nossas cabeças; passamos pelo fogo e pela água; mas por fim deste-nos refrigério.
¹³ The untilled meadows also drip; the hills are robed with joy.	¹³ Entrarei na tua casa com holocaustos, pagar-te-ei os meus votos,
¹⁴ The pastures are clothed with flocks, the valleys blanketed with grain; they cheer and sing for joy.	¹⁴ que os meus lábios pronunciaram, que a minha boca proferiu na minha tribulação.
	¹⁵ Oferecer-te-ei holocaustos de ovelhas pingues com gordura de carneiros: imolarei bois com cabritos.
	¹⁶ Vinde, ouvi todos os que temeis a Deus, e eu vos narrarei quão grandes coisas ele fez à minha alma!
	¹⁷ A minha boca clamou por ele, e louvei-o com a minha língua.
	¹⁸ Se eu tivesse visto a iniquidade no meu coração, o Senhor não me teria ouvido.
	¹⁹ Mas Deus ouviu-me, atendeu à voz da minha súplica.
	²⁰ Bendito seja Deus, que não rejeitou a minha oração, nem retirou de mim a sua misericórdia.
