Psalms 129

NEW AMERICAN BIBLEDOUAI-RHEIMS
A song of ascents. Much have they oppressed me from my youth, now let Israel say.1 Blessed are all they that fear the Lord: that walk in his ways.
Much have they oppressed me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed.2 For thou shalt eat the labours of thy hands: blessed art thou, and it shall be well with thee.
Upon my back the plowers plowed, as they traced their long furrows.3 Thy wife as a fruitful vine, on the sides of thy house.
But the just LORD cut me free from the ropes of the yoke of the wicked.4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.
May they be scattered in disgrace, all who hate Zion.5 May the Lord bless thee out of Sion: and mayest thou see the good things of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
May they be like grass on the rooftops withered in early growth,6 And mayest thou see thy children's children, peace upon Israel.
Never to fill the reaper's hands, nor the arms of the binders of sheaves,
With none passing by to call out: "The blessing of the LORD be upon you! We bless you in the name of the LORD!"
