2 Had not the LORD been with us, when people rose against us,	2 In Gerusalemme. Essa è cinta di monti, e il Signore cinge il suo popolo ora e sempre.
3 They would have swallowed us alive, for their fury blazed against us.	3 Il Signore non lascerà lo scettro dei peccatori sull'eredità dei giusti; affinchè i giusti non protendano le loro mani all'iniquità.
4 The waters would have engulfed us, the torrent overwhelmed us;	4 O Signore, fa del bene ai buoni e ai retti di cuore.
5 seething waters would have drowned us.	5 Ma quelli che si sviano per tortuosi sentieri il Signore li porrà insieme agli operatori d'iniquità. Pace sopra Israele.
6 Blessed be the LORD, who did not leave us to be torn by their fangs.
7 We escaped with our lives like a bird from the fowler's snare; the snare was broken and we escaped.
8 Our help is the name of the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.
