2 Had not the LORD been with us, when people rose against us,	2 se il Signore non fosse stato per noi,quando eravamo assaliti,
3 They would have swallowed us alive, for their fury blazed against us.	3 allora ci avrebbero inghiottiti vivi,quando divampò contro di noi la loro collera.
4 The waters would have engulfed us, the torrent overwhelmed us;	4 Allora le acque ci avrebbero travolti,un torrente ci avrebbe sommersi;
5 seething waters would have drowned us.	5 allora ci avrebbero sommersiacque impetuose.
6 Blessed be the LORD, who did not leave us to be torn by their fangs.	6 Sia benedetto il Signore,che non ci ha consegnati in preda ai loro denti.
7 We escaped with our lives like a bird from the fowler's snare; the snare was broken and we escaped.	7 Siamo stati liberati come un passerodal laccio dei cacciatori:il laccio si è spezzatoe noi siamo scampati.
8 Our help is the name of the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.	8 Il nostro aiuto è nel nome del Signore:egli ha fatto cielo e terra.
