1 A song of ascents. Of David. I Had not the LORD been with us, let Israel say,	1 Canto de peregrinación. De David. Si el Señor no hubiera estado de nuestra parte –que lo diga Israel–,
2 Had not the LORD been with us, when people rose against us,	2 si el Señor no hubiera estado de nuestra parte, cuando los hombres se alzaron contra nosotros,
3 They would have swallowed us alive, for their fury blazed against us.	3 nos habrían devorado vivos. Cuando ardió su furor contra nosotros,
4 The waters would have engulfed us, the torrent overwhelmed us;	4 las aguas nos habrían inundado, un torrente nos habría sumergido,
5 seething waters would have drowned us.	5 nos habrían sumergido las aguas turbulentas.
6 Blessed be the LORD, who did not leave us to be torn by their fangs.	6 ¡Bendito sea el Señor, que no nos entregó como presa de sus dientes!
7 We escaped with our lives like a bird from the fowler's snare; the snare was broken and we escaped.	7 Nuestra vida se salvó como un pájaro de la trampa del cazador: la trampa se rompió y nosotros escapamos.
8 Our help is the name of the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.	8 Nuestra ayuda está en el nombre del Señor, que hizo el cielo y la tierra.
