1 A song of ascents. The LORD answered me when I called in my distress:	1 Hodočasnička pjesma. Kad bijah u nevolji, Jahvi zavapih i on me usliša.
2 LORD, deliver me from lying lips, from treacherous tongues.	2 Jahve, izbavi dušu moju od usana prijevarnih, od zlobna jezika!
3 What will the Lord inflict on you, O treacherous tongue, and what more besides?	3 Kojim zlom da te prokunem, zlobni jeziče?
4 A warrior's sharpened arrows and fiery coals of brush wood!	4 Strelicama oštrim iz ratničke ruke i ugljevljem žarkim.
5 Alas, I was an alien in Meshech, I lived near the tents of Kedar!	5 Jao meni što mi je boraviti u Mešeku i stanovati u šatorima kedarskim!
6 Too long did I live among those who hated peace.	6 Predugo mi duša mora živjeti s mrziteljima mira.
7 When I spoke of peace, they were for war.	7 Kada o miru govorim, oni sile na rat.
