Hallelujah! Happy are those who fear the LORD, who greatly delight in God's commands.1 Al eluia! How blessed is anyone who fears Yahweh, who delights in his commandments!
Their descendants shall be mighty in the land, generation upright and blessed.2 His descendants shal be powerful on earth, the race of the honest shal receive blessings:
Wealth and riches shall be in their homes; their prosperity shall endure forever.3 Riches and wealth for his family; his uprightness stands firm for ever.
They shine through the darkness, a light for the upright; they are gracious, merciful, and just.4 For the honest he shines as a lamp in the dark, generous, tender-hearted, and upright.
All goes well for those gracious in lending, who conduct their affairs with justice.5 Al goes wel for one who lends generously, who is honest in al his dealing;
They shall never be shaken; the just shall be remembered forever.6 for al time to come he wil not stumble, for al time to come the upright wil be remembered.
They shall not fear an ill report; their hearts are steadfast, trusting the LORD.7 Bad news holds no fears for him, firm is his heart, trusting in Yahweh.
Their hearts are tranquil, without fear, till at last they look down on their foes.8 His heart held steady, he has no fears, til he can gloat over his enemies.
Lavishly they give to the poor; their prosperity shall endure forever; their horn shall be exalted in honor.9 To the needy he gives without stint, his uprightness stands firm for ever; his reputation is founded onstrength.
The wicked shall be angry to see this; they will gnash their teeth and waste away; the desires of the wicked come to nothing.10 The wicked are vexed at the sight, they grind their teeth and waste away. The desires of the wickedwil be frustrated.
