Exodus 31

1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 E il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:
2 "See, I have chosen Bezalel, son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,	2 « Ecco io ho chiamato per nome Beseleel figlio di Uri, figlio di Ur, della tribù di Giuda,
3 and I have filled him with a divine spirit of skill and understanding and knowledge in every craft:	3 e l'ho ripieno dello spirito di Dio, di sapienza, d'intelligenza, di scienza per ogni sorta di lavori,
4 in the production of embroidery, in making things of gold, silver or bronze,	4 per inventare tutto quel che può farsi col l'oro, coll'argento, col rame,
5 in cutting and mounting precious stones, in carving wood, and in every craft.	5 col marmo, colle gemme e coi diversi legnami.
6 As his assistant I have appointed Oholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. I have also endowed all the experts with the necessary skill to make all the things I have ordered you to make:	6 E gli ho dato per compagno Ooliab, figlio di Achisamec, della tribù di Dan; ed ho posto della sapienza nel cuore di ogni abile artefice, perchè facciano tutte le cose che io ti ho ordinato:
7 the meeting tent, the ark of the commandments with the propitiatory on top of it, all the furnishings of the tent,	7 il Tabernacolo dell'alleanza, l'arca della testimonianza, il propiziatorio che le sta sopra, tutti gli arredi del Tabernacolo,
8 the table with its appurtenances, the pure gold lampstand with all its appurtenances, the altar of incense,	8 la tavola coi suoi utensili, il candelabro purissimo con i suoi utensili, l'altare dei profumi,
9 the altar of holocausts with all its appurtenances, the laver with its base,	9 quello degli olocausti con tutti i rispettivi strumenti, la conca colla sua base,
10 the service cloths, the sacred vestments for Aaron the priest, the vestments for his sons in their ministry,	10 i paramenti sacri che dovran servire ad Aronne ed ai suoi figli per esercitare il loro sacerdozio.
11 the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense for the sanctuary. All these things they shall make just as I have commanded you."	11 L'olio dell'unzione e i profumi aromatici pel santuario: essi faranno tutto quello che io ti ho ordinato ».
12 The LORD said to Moses,	12 E il Signore parlò ancora a Mosè e disse:
13 "You must also tell the Israelites: Take care to keep my sabbaths, for that is to be the token between you and me throughout the generations, to show that it is I, the LORD, who make you holy.	13 « Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: Badate bene di osservare i miei sabati, perchè il sabato è un segno tra me e voi nelle vostre generazioni, perchè riconosciate che io sono il Signore che vi santifico.
14 Therefore, you must keep the sabbath as something sacred. Whoever desecrates it shall be put to death. If anyone does work on that day, he must be rooted out of his people.	14 Osservate adunque il mio sabato, perchè è un giorno santo per voi; chiunque lo profanerà sarà punito colla morte; chi in tal giorno lavorerà perirà di mezzo al suo popolo.
15 Six days there are for doing work, but the seventh day is the sabbath of complete rest, sacred to the LORD. Anyone who does work on the sabbath day shall be put to death.	15 Per sei giorni lavorerete; ma nel settimo cade il sabato, il riposo santo del Signore: chiunque in tal giorno lavorerà sarà messo a morto.
16 So shall the Israelites observe the sabbath, keeping it throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.	16 Custodiscano adunque i figli d'Israele il sabato, e lo celebrino nelle loro generazioni: è un patto sempiterno
17 Between me and the Israelites it is to be an everlasting token; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, but on the seventh day he rested at his ease."	17 tra me e i figli d'Israele, un segno perpetuo; perchè in sei giorni il Signore fece il cielo e la terra, e nel settimo cessò dall'opera ».
18 When the LORD had finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the commandments, the stone tablets inscribed by God's own finger.	18 E il Signore, finiti questi discorsi sul monte Sinai, diede a Mosè le due tavole della testimonianza, di pietra, scritte dal dito di Dio.
