1 This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; even to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward was the uttermost part of the south coast.	1 An den Stamm der Judäer fiel durch das Los, entsprechend seinen Sippen, der Anteil gegen die Grenze Edoms hin, südwärts der Wüste Zin zu gelegen, die im äußersten Süden ist.
2 And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh southward:	2 Die Südgrenze Judas beginnt am Ende des Salzmeeres, an der (Meeres)zunge, die sich nach Süden erstreckt,
3 And it went out to the south side to Maaleh-acrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side unto Kadesh-barnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa:	3 verläuft dann südlich zur Skorpionen-Steige, zieht sich hinüber nach Zin, steigt südlich von Kadesch-Barnea hinauf, führt hinüber nach Hezron, steigt hinauf nach Addar und wendet sich nach Karka;
4 From thence it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south coast.	4 dann führt sie hinüber nach Azmon, geht hinaus zum Grenzbach Ägyptens und läuft am Meer aus. Das ist die Südgrenze des Stammes Juda.
5 And the east border was the salt sea, even unto the end of Jordan. And their border in the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan:	5 Die Ostgrenze bildet das Salzmeer bis zur Jordanmündung. Für die Nordseite beginnt die Grenze an der Meereszunge bei der Jordanmündung.
6 And the border went up to Beth-hogla, and passed along by the north of Beth-arabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben:	6 Die Grenze geht dann nach Bet-Hogla hinauf und läuft nördlich an Bet-Araba vorbei. Dann zieht sie sich hinauf zum Stein Bohans, des Sohnes Rubens.
7 And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of En-shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at En-rogel:	7 Vom Achortal steigt sie empor nach Debir und wendet sich nordwärts nach Gelilot gegenüber der Steige von Adummim, die südlich des Bachtals liegt; dann führt sie hinüber zum Wasser von En-Schemesch und läuft hinaus zur Rogel-Quelle.
8 And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward:	8 Von da an steigt die Grenze hinauf in das Ben-Hinnom-Tal südlich des Bergrückens der Jebusiter - das ist Jerusalem - und weiter empor zum Gipfel des Berges, der westlich des Hinnom-Tals am nördlichen Rand der Rafaïter-Ebene liegt.
9 And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which is Kirjath-jearim:	9 Vom Gipfel des Berges biegt die Grenze ab zur Neftoach-Quelle und führt hinaus zum Berg Efron. Dann biegt sie ab nach Baala, das ist Kirjat-Jearim.
10 And the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim, which is Chesalon, on the north side, and went down to Beth-shemesh, and passed on to Timnah:	10 Von Baala wendet sich die Grenze nach Westen zum Berg Seïr, führt dann an der Nordflanke des Berges von Jearim, das ist Kesalon, vorbei, hinab nach Bet-Schemesch und hinüber nach Timna.
11 And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward: and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.	11 Dann verläuft sie hinaus zur Nordflanke von Ekron, biegt ab nach Schikkaron, geht hinüber zum Berg Baala und hinaus nach Jabneel. Die Grenze läuft aus am Meer.
12 And the west border was to the great sea, and the coast thereof. This is the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families.	12 Das große Meer und das Küstengebiet bilden die Westgrenze. Das ist das Gebiet der Judäer ringsum, entsprechend ihren Sippen.
13 And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron.	13 Kaleb aber, dem Sohn Jefunnes, gab Josua einen Anteil mitten unter den Judäern, nach der Anweisung des Herrn an Josua (und zwar) Kirjat-Arba - Arba war der Vater Anaks -, das heißt Hebron.
14 And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.	14 Kaleb vertrieb von dort die drei Anakiter Scheschai, Ahiman und Talmai, die Söhne Anaks.
15 And he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before was Kirjath-sepher.	15 Von dort zog er hinauf zu den Einwohnern von Debir. Debir hieß früher Kirjat-Sefer.
16 And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjath-sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.	16 Und Kaleb sagte: Wer Kirjat- Sefer besiegt und einnimmt, dem gebe ich meine Tochter Achsa zur Frau.
17 And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.	17 Otniël, der Sohn des Kenas, eines Bruders Kalebs, nahm die Stadt ein und Kaleb gab ihm seine Tochter Achsa zur Frau.
18 And it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou?	18 Als sie bei Otniël ankam, drängte er sie, von ihrem Vater ein Stück Land zu verlangen. Da ließ sie sich vom Esel herabgleiten und Kaleb fragte sie: Was hast du?
19 Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.	19 Sie antwortete: Gib mir ein Geschenk als Zeichen des Segens! Wenn du mich schon ins Trockenland schickst, dann gib mir auch Wasserstellen! Da gab er ihr die obere und die untere Wasserquelle.
20 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.	20 Das ist der Erbbesitz des Stammes der Judäer, entsprechend ihren Sippen:
21 And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,	21 Die Städte im Bereich des Stammes der Judäer waren folgende: an der Grenze zu Edom im Negeb: Kabzeel, Eder, Jagur,
22 And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,	22 Kina, Dimona, Adada,
23 And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,	23 Kadesch, Hazor, Jitna,
24 Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,	24 Sif, Telem, Bealot,
25 And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, and Hezron, which is Hazor,	25 Hazor-Hadatta, Kerijot- Hezron, das ist Hazor,
26 Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,	26 Amam, Schema, Molada,
27 And Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-palet,	27 Hazar-Gadda, Heschmon, Bet-Pelet,
28 And Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Bizjothjah,	28 Hazar-Schual, Beerscheba und seine Tochterstädte,

33 And in the valley, Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,	33 in der Schefela: Eschtaol, Zora, Aschna,
34 And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,	34 Sanoach, En-Gannim, Tappuach, Enajim,
35 Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,	35 Jarmut, Adullam, Socho, Aseka,
36 And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages:	36 Schaarajim, Aditajim, Gedera und Gederotajim: vierzehn Städte mit den dazugehörenden Gehöften;
37 Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad,	37 Zenan, Hadascha, Migdal- Gad,
38 And Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,	38 Dilan, Mizpe, Jokteel,
39 Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,	39 Lachisch, Bozkat, Eglon,
40 And Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,	40 Kabbon, Lachmas, Kitlisch,
41 And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages:	41 Gederot, Bet-Dagon, Naama und Makkeda: sechzehn Städte mit den dazugehörenden Gehöften;
42 Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan,	42 Libna, Eter, Aschan,
43 And Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,	43 Jiftach, Aschna, Nezib,
44 And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages:	44 Keïla, Achsib und Marescha: neun Städte mit den dazugehörenden Gehöften;
45 Ekron, with her towns and her villages:	45 Ekron mit den dazugehörenden Tochterstädten und Gehöften,
46 From Ekron even unto the sea, all that lay near Ashdod, with their villages:	46 von Ekron bis zum Meer alles, was auf der Seite von Aschdod liegt, samt den dazugehörenden Gehöften;
47 Ashdod with her towns and her villages, Gaza with her towns and her villages, unto the river of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border thereof:	47 Aschdod mit den dazugehörenden Tochterstädten und Gehöften, Gaza mit den dazugehörenden Tochterstädten und Gehöften bis zum Grenzbach Ägyptens und zum großen Meer mit dem Küstengebiet;
48 And in the mountains, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,	48 auf dem Gebirge: Schamir, Jattir, Socho,
49 And Dannah, and Kirjath-sannah, which is Debir,	49 Danna, Kirjat-Sanna, das ist Debir,
50 And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,	50 Anab, Eschtemoa, Anim,
51 And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages:	51 Goschen, Holon und Gilo: elf Städte mit den dazugehörenden Gehöften;
52 Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,	52 Arab, Duma, Eschan,
53 And Janum, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah,	53 Janum, Bet-Tappuach, Afeka,
54 And Humtah, and Kirjath-arba, which is Hebron, and Zior; nine cities with their villages:	54 Humta, Kirjat-Arba, das ist Hebron, und Zior: neun Städte und die dazugehörenden Gehöfte;
55 Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah,	55 Maon, Karmel, Sif, Jutta,
56 And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,	56 Jesreel, Jokdeam, Sanoach,
57 Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages:	57 Kaim, Gibea und Timna: zehn Städte mit den dazugehörenden Gehöften;
58 Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,	58 Halhul, Bet-Zur, Gedor,
59 And Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages:	59 Maarat, Bet-Anot und Eltekon: sechs Städte mit den dazugehörenden Gehöften; Tekoa, Efrata, das ist Betlehem, Pegor, Etam, Kulon, Tatam, Schoresch, Kerem, Gallim, Bet-Ter und Manocho: elf Städte mit den dazugehörenden Gehöften:
60 Kirjath-baal, which is Kirjath-jearim, and Rabbah; two cities with their villages:	60 Kirjat-Baal, das ist Kirjat- Jearim, und Rabba: zwei Städte mit den dazugehörenden Gehöften;
61 In the wilderness, Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,	61 in der Steppe: Bet-Araba, Middin, Sechacha,
62 And Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and En-gedi; six cities with their villages.	62 Nibschan, Ir-Melach und En- Gedi: sechs Städte mit den dazugehörenden Gehöften.
63 As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.	63 Nur die Jebusiter, die in Jerusalem wohnten, konnten die Judäer nicht vertreiben und so wohnen die Jebusiter bis zum heutigen Tag mit den Judäern zusammen in Jerusalem.
