1 This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; even to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward was the uttermost part of the south coast.	1 El territorio que tocó en suerte a la tribu de los hijos de Judá, limitaba en su extremo meridional, hacia el sur, con Edom y el desierto de Sin.
2 And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh southward:	2 Su frontera sur se extendía desde los bordes del mar de la Sal –de la punta que da hacia el sur–
3 And it went out to the south side to Maaleh-acrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side unto Kadesh-barnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa:	3 hasta la parte meridional de la subida de los Escorpiones; luego pasaba por Sin y subía hasta el sur de Cades Barné; de allí pasaba a Jesrón, subía hasta Adar y daba vuelta hacia Carcaá;
4 From thence it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south coast.	4 finalmente pasaba por Asmón y llegaba al Torrente de Egipto, para ir a terminar en el mar. Este será para ustedes el límite meridional.
5 And the east border was the salt sea, even unto the end of Jordan. And their border in the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan:	5 La frontera oriental era el mar de la Sal hasta la desembocadura del Jordán. La frontera norte, a su vez, partía de la parte del mar, que está junto a la desembocadura del Jordán;
6 And the border went up to Beth-hogla, and passed along by the north of Beth-arabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben:	6 Luego subía hasta Bet Joglá, pasaba al norte de Be Ha Arabá y legaba hasta la Piedra de Boján, el rubenita.
7 And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of En-shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at En-rogel:	7 Después ascendía del valle de Acor a Debir, y daba vuelta hacia Guilgal, que está frente a la subida de Adumím al sur del Torrente. La frontera pasaba inmediatamente junto a las aguas de En Semes, llegaba a En Roguel,
8 And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward:	8 y volvía a subir, viniendo desde el sur, por el valle de Ben Hinnóm, por el oeste, y al extremo septentrional del valle de los Refaím.
9 And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which is Kirjath-jearim:	9 Desde la cima del monte, la frontera daba vuelta hacia la fuente de Neftóaj, y seguía hasta el monte Efrón, para volverse luego hacia Baalá, o sea, hacia Quiriat Iearím.
10 And the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim, which is Chesalon, on the north side, and went down to Beth-shemesh, and passed on to Timnah:	10 Desde Baalá, la frontera giraba hacia el oeste, hacia el monte Seir, y pasando por el flanco septentrional del monte Iearím –o sea Quesalóm– bajaba hasta Bet Semes y llegaba hasta Timná.
11 And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward: and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.	11 Después seguía hasta la pendiente de Ecrón, hacia el norte, giraba hacia Sicrón, y cruzando por el monte de Baalá, salía por Iabneel para ir a terminar en el mar.
12 And the west border was to the great sea, and the coast thereof. This is the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families.	12 Finalmente, el límite occidental estaba formado por el Mar Grande y su playa. Estos eran los límites que bordeaban el territorio asignado a los clanes de los hijos de Judá.
13 And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron.	13 A Caleb, hijo de Iefuné, se le asignó una parte en medio de los hijos de Judá, como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Josué. Esa parte era Quiriat Arbá –Arbá era el padre de Anac y Quiriat Arbá es Hebrón–.
14 And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.	14 Caleb expulsó de allí a los tres hijos de Anac –Sesai, Ajimán y Talmai– descendientes de Anac.
15 And he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before was Kirjath-sepher.	15 Luego subió contra los habitantes de Debir, que antes se llamaba Quiriat Séfer.
16 And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjath-sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.	16 Entonces Caleb dijo: «Al que derrote y conquiste a Quiriat Séfer, yo le daré como esposa a mi hija Acsá».
17 And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.	17 El que la conquistó fue Otniel, hijo de Quenaz y hermano de Caleb, y este le dio como esposa a su hija Acsá.
18 And it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou?	18 Cuando ella llegó a la casa de su esposo, este le sugirió que pidiera un campo a su padre. Ella se bajó del asno, y Caleb le preguntó: «¿Qué quieres?».
19 Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.	19 «Quiero que me hagas un regalo, le respondió. Ya que me has mandado al territorio del Négueb, concédeme al menos un manantial». Y él le dio el manantial de Arriba y el manantial de Abajo.
20 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.	20 Esta fue la herencia de los clanes de la tribu de Judá.
21 And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,	21 Las ciudades fronterizas pertenecientes a la tribu de los hijos de Judá, hacia la frontera de Edom, en el Négueb, eran las siguientes: Cabseel, Eder, Iagur,
22 And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,	22 Quiná, Dimoná, Adadá,
23 And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,	23 Quedes, Jasor, Itnam,
24 Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,	24 Zif, Télem, Bealot,
25 And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, and Hezron, which is Hazor,	25 Jasor Jadatá, Queriot, Jesrón –o sea Jasor–
26 Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,	26 Amam, Semá, Moladá,
27 And Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-palet,	27 Jasar Gadá, Jesmón, Bet Pélet,
28 And Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Bizjothjah,	28 Jasar Sual, Berseba, Biziotiá,
29 Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,	29 Baalá, Iyim, Esem,
30 And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,	30 Eltolad, Quesil, Jormá,
31 And Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,	31 Siquelag, Madmaná, Sansaná;
32 And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all the cities are twenty and nine, with their villages:	32 Lebaot, Silijím, En Rimón: en total veintinueve ciudades con sus poblados.
33 And in the valley, Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,	33 En la Sefelá: Estaol Sorá, Asna,
34 And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,	34 Zanóaj, En Ganín, Tupúaj, Enán,
35 Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,	35 Iarmut, Adulán, Socó, Azecá,
36 And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages:	36 Saaraim, Aditaim, Ha Guederá, Guedorotaim: en total catorce ciudades con sus poblados.
37 Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad,	37 Senan, Jadasá, Migdal Gad.
38 And Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,	38 Dilán, Ha Mispá, Iocteel,
39 Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,	39 Laquís, Boscat, Eglón,
40 And Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,	40 Cabón, Lajmás, Quitlís,
41 And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages:	41 Guederot, Bet Dagón, Naamá, Maquedá: en total dieciséis ciudades con sus poblados.
42 Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan,	42 Libná, Eter, Asán,
43 And Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,	43 Iftaj, Asná, Nesib,
44 And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages:	44 Queilá, Aczib, Maresá: en total, nueve ciudades con sus poblados.
45 Ekron, with her towns and her villages:	45 Ecrón, con las ciudades dependientes y sus poblados,
46 From Ekron even unto the sea, all that lay near Ashdod, with their villages:	46 y a partir de Ecrón, hacia el mar, todas aquellas ciudades que están al lado de Asdod, con sus poblados:
47 Ashdod with her towns and her villages, Gaza with her towns and her villages, unto the river of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border thereof:	47 Asdod con las ciudades dependientes y sus poblados, Gaza con las ciudades dependientes y sus poblados, hasta el Torrente de Egipto, limitando con el mar Grande.
48 And in the mountains, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,	48 En la Montaña: Samir, Iatir, Socó,
49 And Dannah, and Kirjath-sannah, which is Debir,	49 Daná, Quiriat Séfer –o sea, Debir–
50 And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,	50 Anab, Estemoa, Aním,
51 And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages:	51 Gosen, Jolón, Guiló: en total, once ciudades con sus poblados.
52 Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,	52 Arab, Dumá, Esán,
53 And Janum, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah,	53 Ianúm, Bet Tapúaj, Afec,
54 And Humtah, and Kirjath-arba, which is Hebron, and Zior; nine cities with their villages:	54 Jumtá, Quiriat Arbá –o sea, Hebrón– y Sior: en total nueve ciudades con sus poblados.
55 Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah,	55 Maón, Carmel, Zif, Iutá,
56 And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,	56 Izreel, Zanoaj,
57 Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages:	57 Ha Caín, Guibeá y Timná: en total, diez ciudades con sus poblados.
58 Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,	58 Jaljul, Bet Sur, Guedor,
59 And Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages:	59 Maarat, Bet Anot, Eltecón: en total seis ciudades con sus poblados.
60 Kirjath-baal, which is Kirjath-jearim, and Rabbah; two cities with their villages:	60 Quiriat Baal –o sea, Quiriat Iearim– y Ha Rabá: en total, dos ciudades con sus poblados.
61 In the wilderness, Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,	61 En el desierto: Bet Ha Arabá, Midím, Secacá,
62 And Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and En-gedi; six cities with their villages.	62 Nigsán, la ciudad de la Sal y Engadí: en total, seis ciudades con sus poblados.
63 As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.	63 Pero los hijos de Judá no pudieron desposeer a los jebuseos, que ocupaban Jerusalén. Por eso los jebuseos viven todavía hoy en Jerusalén, junto a los hijos de Judá.
