1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,	1 E il Signore parlò a Mosè e ad Aronne, e disse:
2 This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:	2 Queste sono le cerimonie della vittima comandata dal Signore. Ordina ai figliuoli d'Israele,che ti menino una giovenca rossa di perfetta età, e senza macchia, e la quale non abbiaportato il giogo:
3 And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:	3 E la darete ad Eleazaro sacerdote, il quale condottala fuor degli alloggiamenti la immoleràal cospetto di tutti.
4 And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times:	4 E intingendo il dito nel sangue di lei, ne farà aspersione sette volte verso la porta deltabernacolo;
5 And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:	5 E poi l'abbrucerà a vista di tutti, dando alle fiamme si la pelle, e le carni di essa, e siancora il sangue, e gli escrementi.
6 And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.	6 E il sacerdote getterà ancor nella fiamma, in cui arde la vacca, il legno di cedro, el'issopo, e il cocco a due tinte.
7 Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even.	7 E allora finalmente, lavate le vesti, e la persona, tornerà agli alloggiamenti, e saràimmondo fino alla sera.
8 And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even.	8 Parimente colui, che la bruciò, laverà le sue vesti, e la persona, e sarà immondo fino allasera.
9 And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin.	9 E un uomo, che sia mondo, raccorrà le ceneri della vacca, e le depositerà fuori deglialloggiamenti in luogo mondissimo, dove sieno custodite dalla moltitudine de' figliuolid'Israele, e se ne faccia l'acqua di aspersione: perocché la vacca fu abbruciata per lopeccato.
10 And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.	10 E dopo che colui, il quale portò le ceneri della vacca, avrà lavate le sue vesti, saràimmondo fino alla sera. Sarà questo un rito santo, e inviolabile pe' figliuoli d'Israele, epei forestieri che dimoran con essi.
11 He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.	11 Colui che avrà toccato il cadavere d'un uomo, e perciò diverrà immondo per sette giorni,
12 He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.	12 Sarà asperso con quest'acqua il terzo, e il settimo giorno, e così sarà mondato. Se non saràasperso il terzo dì, non potrà essere mondato nel settimo.
13 Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.	13 Chiunque avrà toccato il corpo morto di un uomo, e non sarà stato asperso colla mistura diquest'acqua, renderà immondo il tabernacolo del Signore, e sarà reciso dalla societàd'Israele: perché non fu asperso coll'acqua di espiazione, ei sarà immondo, e resterà sopradi lui la sua immondezza.
14 This is the law, when a man dieth in a tent: all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.	14 Questa è la legge riguardante l'uomo, che muore nella sua tenda. Tutti coloro che entranonella sua tenda, e tutti i mobili, che vi sono, saranno immondi per sette giorni.
15 And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, is unclean.	15 Il vaso, che non avrà coperchio, e non sarà turato alla bocca, sarà immondo.
16 And whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.	16 Se uno alla campagna tocca il cadavere d'un uomo ucciso, o morto da se, ovver (tocca) unosso di lui, o il suo sepolcro, sarà immondo per sette giorni.
17 And for an unclean person they shall take of the ashes of the burnt heifer of purification for sin, and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel:	17 E prenderanno delle ceneri della vacca bruciata per lo peccato, e vi getteranno sopradell'acqua viva in un vaso:
18 And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave:	18 E un uomo mondo avendone inzuppato l'issopo aspergerà con essa tutta la tenda, e tutte lesuppellettili, e gli uomini renduti immondi per simil causa:
19 And the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, and wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.	19 E in tal guisa l'uomo mondo aspergerà l'immondo il terzo dì, e il settimo: e questi essendoespiato il settimo giorno, laverà se stesso, e le sue vesti, e sarà immondo fino alla sera.
20 But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the LORD: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.	20 Chi non sarà purificato con questo rito, sarà recisa l'anima di lui dalla società dellachiesa per aver contaminato il santuario del Signore, e non essere stato asperso coll'acquadi espiazione:
21 And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even.	21 Questo sarà comandamento, e legge sempiterna. Colui, che fa l'aspersione con queste acque,laverà anch'egli le sue vesti. Chiunque toccherà le acque di espiazione, sarà immondo finoalla sera.
22 And whatsoever the unclean person toucheth shall be unclean; and the soul that toucheth it shall be unclean until even.	22 Saranno immonde tutte quelle cose, che un immondo avrà toccate: e chi alcuna di esse avràtoccato, sarà immondo fino alla sera.
