1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,	1 Der Herr sprach zu Mose und Aaron:
2 This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:	2 Das ist die Verordnung, die der Herr erlässt: Sag den Israeliten, sie sollen dir eine fehlerlose, einwandfreie rote Kuh bringen, die noch nie ein Joch getragen hat.
3 And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:	3 Übergebt die Kuh dem Priester Eleasar! Dann soll man sie vor das Lager hinausführen und sie vor seinen Augen schlachten.
4 And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times:	4 Der Priester Eleasar nimmt mit seinem Finger etwas von ihrem Blut und spritzt damit siebenmal gegen die Vorderseite des Offenbarungszeltes.
5 And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:	5 Darauf verbrennt man die Kuh vor seinen Augen. Ihr Fell, ihr Fleisch und ihr Blut, alles soll man verbrennen, samt ihrem Mageninhalt.
6 And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.	6 Der Priester nimmt Zedernholz, Ysop und Karmesin und wirft alles in das Feuer, in dem die Kuh verbrannt wird.
7 Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even.	7 Dann wäscht der Priester seine Kleider, badet seinen Körper in Wasser und kehrt nachher ins Lager zurück; der Priester bleibt aber bis zum Abend unrein.
8 And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even.	8 Derjenige, der die Kuh verbrannt hat, wäscht seine Kleider und badet seinen Körper in Wasser; er bleibt aber bis zum Abend unrein.
9 And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin.	9 Ein reiner Mann sammelt die Asche der Kuh und legt sie an einen reinen Ort außerhalb des Lagers. Sie wird für die Gemeinde der Israeliten zur Zubereitung des Reinigungswassers aufbewahrt. Es ist ein Sündopfer.
10 And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.	10 Derjenige, der die Asche der Kuh gesammelt hat, wäscht dann seine Kleider, bleibt aber bis zum Abend unrein. Für die Israeliten und für die Fremden, die bei ihnen leben, gilt die feste Regel:
11 He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.	11 Wer irgendeinen toten Menschen berührt, ist sieben Tage lang unrein.
12 He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.	12 Am dritten Tag entsündigt er sich mit dem Reinigungswasser und am siebten Tag wird er rein. Wenn er sich am dritten Tag nicht entsündigt, dann wird er am siebten Tag nicht rein.
13 Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.	13 Jeder, der einen toten Menschen, einen Verstorbenen, anrührt und sich nicht entsündigt, hat die Wohnstätte des Herrn verunreinigt. Ein solcher Mensch muss aus Israel ausgemerzt werden, weil er sich nicht hat mit dem Reinigungswasser besprengen lassen. Er ist unrein; seine Unreinheit haftet ihm immer noch an.
14 This is the law, when a man dieth in a tent: all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.	14 Folgendes Gesetz gilt, wenn ein Mensch in einem Zelt stirbt: Jeder, der ins Zelt kommt oder der schon im Zelt ist, wird für sieben Tage unrein;
15 And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, is unclean.	15 auch jedes offene Gefäß, das keinen verschnürten Deckel hat, ist unrein.
16 And whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.	16 Jeder, der auf freiem Feld einen mit dem Schwert Erschlagenen, einen Toten, menschliche Gebeine oder ein Grab berührt, ist für sieben Tage unrein.
17 And for an unclean person they shall take of the ashes of the burnt heifer of purification for sin, and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel:	17 Für den Unreinen nimmt man etwas Brandasche vom Sündopfer, schüttet sie in ein Gefäß und gießt Quellwasser darüber.
18 And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave:	18 Ein reiner Mann nimmt Ysop, taucht ihn in das Wasser und bespritzt damit das Zelt sowie die Gefäße und die Menschen, die im Zelt sind, oder den, der Gebeine, einen Erschlagenen, einen Toten oder ein Grab berührt hat.
19 And the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, and wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.	19 Der Reine bespritzt den Unreinen am dritten und am siebten Tag und entsündigt ihn am siebten Tag. Dann wäscht der Betreffende seine Kleider und badet seinen Körper in Wasser; am Abend ist er dann rein.
20 But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the LORD: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.	20 Wer aber unrein geworden ist und sich nicht entsündigt, ein solcher Mensch ist aus der Versammlung auszumerzen; denn er hat das Heiligtum des Herrn verunreinigt. Er hat sich nicht mit dem Reinigungswasser besprengen lassen; er ist unrein.
21 And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even.	21 Das soll bei den Israeliten als feste Regel gelten. Auch wer das Reinigungswasser verspritzt hat, wäscht seine Kleider; wer mit dem Reinigungswasser in Berührung kommt, ist bis zum Abend unrein.
22 And whatsoever the unclean person toucheth shall be unclean; and the soul that toucheth it shall be unclean until even.	22 Alles, was der Unreine berührt, ist unrein. Ebenso ist jeder, der ihn berührt, bis zum Abend unrein.
