Psalms 112

1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.	1 Hallelujah! Happy are those who fear the LORD, who greatly delight in God's commands.
2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.	2 Their descendants shall be mighty in the land, generation upright and blessed.
3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.	3 Wealth and riches shall be in their homes; their prosperity shall endure forever.
4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.	4 They shine through the darkness, a light for the upright; they are gracious, merciful, and just.
5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.	5 All goes well for those gracious in lending, who conduct their affairs with justice.
6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.	6 They shall never be shaken; the just shall be remembered forever.
7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.	7 They shall not fear an ill report; their hearts are steadfast, trusting the LORD.
8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.	8 Their hearts are tranquil, without fear, till at last they look down on their foes.
9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.	9 Lavishly they give to the poor; their prosperity shall endure forever; their horn shall be exalted in honor.
10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.	10 The wicked shall be angry to see this; they will gnash their teeth and waste away; the desires of the wicked come to nothing.
