Psalms 112

1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.	1 Alleluia.(Alef) Beato l’uomo che teme il Signore(Bet) e nei suoi precetti trova grande gioia.
2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.	2 (Ghimel) Potente sulla terra sarà la sua stirpe,(Dalet) la discendenza degli uomini retti sarà benedetta.
3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.	3 (He) Prosperità e ricchezza nella sua casa,(Vau) la sua giustizia rimane per sempre.
4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.	4 (Zain) Spunta nelle tenebre, luce per gli uomini retti:(Het) misericordioso, pietoso e giusto.
5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.	5 (Tet) Felice l’uomo pietoso che dà in prestito,(Iod) amministra i suoi beni con giustizia.
6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.	6 (Caf) Egli non vacillerà in eterno:(Lamed) eterno sarà il ricordo del giusto.
7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.	7 (Mem) Cattive notizie non avrà da temere,(Nun) saldo è il suo cuore, confida nel Signore.
8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.	8 (Samec) 8 Sicuro è il suo cuore, non teme,(Ain) finché non vedrà la rovina dei suoi nemici.
9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.	9 (Pe) Egli dona largamente ai poveri,(Sade) la sua giustizia rimane per sempre,(Kof) la sua fronte s’innalza nella gloria.
10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.	10 (Res) Il malvagio vede e va in collera,(Sin) digrigna i denti e si consuma.(Tau) Ma il desiderio dei malvagi va in rovina.
