1 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.	1 [Ein Psalm Davids.] So spricht der Herr zu meinem Herrn: Setze dich mir zur Rechten und ich lege dir deine Feinde als Schemel unter die Füße.
2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.	2 Vom Zion strecke der Herr das Zepter deiner Macht aus: «Herrsche inmitten deiner Feinde!»
3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.	3 Dein ist die Herrschaft am Tage deiner Macht (wenn du erscheinst) in heiligem Schmuck; ich habe dich gezeugt noch vor dem Morgenstern, wie den Tau in der Frühe.
4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.	4 Der Herr hat geschworen und nie wird's ihn reuen: «Du bist Priester auf ewig nach der Ordnung Melchisedeks.»
5 The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.	5 Der Herr steht dir zur Seite; er zerschmettert Könige am Tage seines Zornes.
6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.	6 Er hält Gericht unter den Völkern, er häuft die Toten, die Häupter zerschmettert er weithin auf Erden.
7 He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.	7 Er trinkt aus dem Bach am Weg; so kann er (von neuem) das Haupt erheben.
