1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.	1 Alors Dieu bénit Noé et ses enfants, et Il leur dit: Croissez et multipliez-vous, et remplissez la terre.
2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.	2 Que tous les animaux de la terre et tous les oiseaux du ciel soient frappés de terreur et tremblent devant vous, avec tout ce qui se meut sur la terre. J'ai mis entre vos mains tous les poissons de la mer.
3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.	3 Nourrissez-vous de tout ce qui a vie et mouvement: je vous ai abandonné toutes ces choses, comme les légumes et les herbes de la campagne.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.	4 J'excepte seulement la chair mêlée avec le sang, dont Je vous défends de manger.
5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.	5 Car je vengerai votre sang de toutes les bêtes qui l'auront répandu, et je vengerai la vie de l'homme, de la main de l'homme, et de la main de son frère.
6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.	6 Quiconque aura répandu le sang de l'homme, sera puni par l'effusion de son propre sang: car l'homme a été créé à l'image de Dieu.
7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.	7 Croissez donc, vous autres, et multipliez-vous, entrez sur la terre et remplissez-la.
8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,	8 Dieu dit encore à Noé, et à ses enfants aussi bien qu'à lui:
9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;	9 Je vais faire alliance avec vous, et avec votre race après vous,
10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.	10 et avec tous les animaux vivants qui sont avec vous, tant les oiseaux que les animaux, ou domestiques, ou de la campagne, qui sont sortis de l'arche, et avec toutes les bêtes de la terre.
11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.	11 J'établirai Mon alliance avec vous; et toute chair ne périra plus désormais par les eaux du déluge; et il n'y aura plus à l'avenir de déluge qui extermine toute la terre.
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:	12 Dieu dit ensuite: Voici le signe de l'alliance que J'établis pour jamais entre Moi, et vous, et tous les animaux vivants qui sont avec vous.
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.	13 Je mettrai Mon arc dans les nuées, afin qu'il soit le signe de l'alliance que J'ai faite avec la terre.
14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:	14 Et lorsque J'aurai couvert le ciel de nuages, Mon arc paraîtra dans les nuées;
15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.	15 Et Je Me souviendrai de l'alliance que J'ai faite avec vous et avec toute âme qui vit et anime la chair; et il n'y aura plus à l'avenir de déluge qui fasse périr dans ses eaux toute chair qui a vie.
16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.	16 Mon arc sera dans les nuées, et en le voyant Je Me ressouviendrai de l'alliance éternelle qui a été faite entre Dieu et toutes les âmes vivantes qui animent toute chair qui est sur la terre.
17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.	17 Dieu dit encore à Noé: Ce sera là le signe de l'alliance que J'ai faite avec toute chair qui est sur la terre.
18 And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.	18 Noé avait donc trois fils qui sortirent de l'arche, Sem, Cham et Japheth. Or Cham est le père de Chanaan.
19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.	19 Ce sont là les trois fils de Noé, et c'est d'eux qu'est sortie toute la race des hommes qui sont sur la terre.
20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:	20 Noé s'appliquant à l'agriculture, commença à cultiver la terre, et il planta de la vigne;
21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.	21 Et ayant bu du vin, il s'enivra, et il se dépouilla dans sa tente.
22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.	22 Cham, père de Chanaan, voyant que ce que la pudeur obligeait de cacher en son père était découvert, sortit dehors et le vint dire à ses frères.
23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.	23 Alors Sem et Japheth, ayant étendu un manteau sur leurs épaules, marchèrent en arrière et couvrirent la nudité de leur père. Et comme leur visage était détourné, ils ne virent pas la nudité de leur père.
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.	24 Noé se réveillant après cet assoupissement que le vin lui avait causé, et ayant appris de quelle sorte l'avait traité son second fils,
25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.	25 S'écria: Que Cham soit maudit; qu'il soit à l'égard de ses frères l'esclave des esclaves.
26 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.	26 Il dit encore: Que le Seigneur, le Dieu de Sem, soit béni, et que Cham soit son esclave.
27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.	27 Que Dieu multiplie les possessions de Japheth; et qu'il habite dans les tentes de Sem, et que Cham soit son esclave.
28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.	28 Or Noé vécut encore trois cent cinquante ans depuis le déluge.
29 And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.	29 Et tout le temps de sa vie ayant été de neuf cent cinquante ans, il mourut.
