1 Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.	1 Questa è la posterità d'Esaù, detto anche Edom.
2 Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;	2 Esaù delle figlie di Canaan sposò Ada, figlia di Elon Eteo, e Oolibama, figlia di Ana figlia di Sebeon Eveo;
3 And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth.	3 sposò pure Basemat figlia d'Ismaele e sorella di Nabaiot.
4 And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;	4 Ada partorì Elifaz; Basemat generò Rahuel;
5 And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.	5 Oolibama partorì lelius e Ihelon e Core. Questi sono i figli che nacquero ad Esaù nella terra di Canaan.
6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.	6 Ma poi Esaù prese le sue mogli, i figli e le figlie, tutta la gente di casa sua, tutti i suoi beni e tutto quello che aveva nella terra di Canaan, e se ne andò in altro paese, lontano dal suo fratello Giacobbe,
7 For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.	7 perchè essendo diventati molto ricchi, non potevano stare nel medesimo luogo, e la terra dove eran pellegrini non li poteva sostentare, essendo molto numeroso il bestiame.
8 Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.	8 Così Esaù, detto Edom, abitò sul monte Seir.
9 And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:	9 Questa è la posterità di Esaù, padre degli Idumei, nel monte Seir.
10 These are the names of Esau's sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.	10 E questi sono i nomi dei suoi figlioli: Elifaz, figlio di Ada, moglie di Esaù; Rahuel, figlio di Basemat, moglie di Esaù.
11 And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.	11 I figli di Elifaz furono: Taman, Omar, Sefo, Gatam, Cenez.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.	12 Tamna, che era la concubina di Elifaz, figlio di Esaù, partorì a Elifaz Amalec. Questi sono i figli di Ada, moglie di Esaù.
13 And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.	13 I figli di Rahuel furono: Nahat, Zara, Samma e Meza. Questi furono i figli di Basemat, moglie di Esaù.
14 And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.	14 E questi furono i figli di Oolibama, figlia di Ana, figlia di Sebeon moglie di Esaù: essa partorì a Esaù Iehus e Ihelon e Core.
15 These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,	15 Questi sono i principi dei figlioli di Esaù: figli di Elifaz primogenito d'Esaù: il principe Ternari, il principe Omar, il principe Sefo, il principe Cenez,
16 Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah.	16 il principe Core, il principe Gatam, il principe Amalec. Questi sono i figli di Elifaz nella terra di Edom, e sono i figli di Ada.
17 And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.	17 Questi poi sono i figli di Rahuel, figlio di Esaù: il principe Nhat, il principe Zara, il principe Samma, il principe Meza. Questi sono i principi discendenti di Rahuel, nella terra di Edom, e sono i figli di Basemat, moglie di Esaù.
18 And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.	18 Questi sono i figli di Oolibama moglie di Esaù: il principe Iehus, il principe Ihelon, il principe Core: questi i principi discesi da Oolibama, figlia di Ana, moglie di Esaù.
19 These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.	19 Questi sonoi figli d'Esaù, ossia di Edom, e questi i loro principi.
20 These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,	20 Questi sono i figli di Seir Orreo, che abitavano in quella terra: Lotan, Sobal, Sebeon, Ana,
21 And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.	21 Dison, Eser, Disan: questi i principi Orrei, figli di Seir nella terra di Edom.
22 And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna.	22 Figli di Lotan furono Ori ed Eman: e sorella di Lotanera Tamna.
23 And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.	23 E questi furono i figli di Sobal: Alvan e Manahat, Ebal, Sefo ed Onam.
24 And these are the children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.	24 Questi furono i figli di Sebeon: Aia e Ana. 30 Duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of Hori, among their dukes in the land of Seir.	30 il principe Dison, il principe Eser, il principe Disan. Questi sono i principi degli Orrei che comandarono nella terra di Seir.

32 And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.	32 Bela, figlio di Beor, e il nome della sua città fu Denaba.

40 And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names; duke Timnah, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth,	40 Questi poi sono i nomi dei principi di Esaù, secondo le loro stirpi, i loro luoghi e i loro nomi: il principe Tamna, il principe Alva, il principe Ietet,
41 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,	41 il principe Oolibama, il principe Eia, il principe Finon,
42 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,	42 il principe Cenez, il principe Teman,il principe Mahsar,
43 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: he is Esau the father of the Edomites.	43 il principe Magdiel, il principe d'Iram.
