1 Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.	1 Questa è la genealogia di Esaù, o sia di Edom.
2 Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;	2 Esaù prese mogli delle figlie di Chanaan: Ada, figlia di Elon Hetheo, e Oolibama, figliuola di Ana, figlio di Sebeon Heveo:
3 And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth.	3 E anche Basemath, figliuola d'Ismaele, sorella di Nabajoth.
4 And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;	4 E Ada partorì Eliphaz; Basemath generò Rahuel.
5 And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.	5 Oolibama partorì Jehus, e Jhelon, e Core. Questi sono i figliuoli di Esaù nati a lui nella terra di Chanaan.
6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.	6 Poscia Esaù prese le sue mogli, e i figliuoli, e le figliuole, e tutta la gente di sua casa, e tutti i suoi beni, e i bestiami, e tutto quello che avea nella terra di Chanaan: e andò in un altro paese, e si ritirò dal suo fratello Giacobbe.
7 For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.	7 Perocché erano molto ricchi, e non poteano stare in un medesimo luogo: e per la moltitudine de' greggi non potea sostentarli la terra, dov'erano pellegrini.
8 Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.	8 E abitò Esaù, o sia Edom, sul monte Seir.
9 And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:	9 Or questa è la genealogia di Esaù, padre degl'Idumei del monte Seir:
10 These are the names of Esau's sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.	10 E questi sono i nomi de' suoi figliuoli: Eliphaz, figliuolo di Ada moglie di Esaù: e Rahuel, figlio di Basemath moglie di lui.
11 And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.	11 Figliuoli di Eliphaz furono: Theman, Omar, Sepho, e Gatham, e Cenez.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.	12 Thamna poi era concubina di Eliphaz, figliuolo di Esaù: ed ella gli partorì Amalech. Questi sono i discendenti di Ada, moglie di Esaù.
13 And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.	13 Figliuoli di Rahuel: Nahath, e Zara, Samma, e Meza. Questi (sono) figliuoli di Basemath moglie di Esaù.
14 And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.	14 Oolibama, figliuola di Ana, figliuola di Sebeon, moglie di Esaù, partorì a lui questi figliuoli, Jehus, e Jhelon, e Core.
15 These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,	15 Questi (sono) i capitani de' figliuoli di Esaù, i figliuoli di Eliphaz, primogenito di Esaù: Theman capitano, Omar capitano, Sepho capitano, Cenez capitano,
16 Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah.	16 Core capitano, Gatham capitano, Amalech capitano. Questi figliuoli di Eliphaz nella terra di Edom, e questi figliuoli di Ada.
17 And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.	17 Questi pure (sono) i figliuoli di Rahuel, figlio di Esaù: Nahath capitano, Zara capitano, Samma capitano, Meza capitano. E questi (sono) i capitani discesi da Rahuel nella terra di Edom. Questi (sono) i figliuoli di Basemath moglie di Esaù.
18 And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.	18 Questi poi i figliuoli di Oolibama moglie di Esaù: Jehus capitano, Jhelon capitano, Core capitano. Questi i capitani discesi da Oolibama, figliuola di Ana moglie di Esaù.
19 These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.	19 Questi sono i figliuoli di Esaù, o sia di Edom: e questi i loro capitani.
20 These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,	20 Questi sono i figliuoli di Seir Horreo, abitanti di quella terra: Lotan, e Sobal, e Sebeon, e Ana.
21 And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.	21 E Dison, ed Eser, e Disan. Questi i capitani Horrei, figliuoli di Seir nella terra di Edom.
22 And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna.	22 Figliuoli di Lotan furono Hori, ed Heman: e sorella di Lotan era Tamna.
23 And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.	23 E questi i figliuoli di Sobal: Alvan, e Manahat, ed Ebal, e Sepho, ed Onam.
24 And these are the children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.	24 E questi i figliuoli di Sebeon: Aia, e Ana. Questi è quell'Ana, che trovò le acque calde nel deserto, mentre pasceva gli asini di Sebeon suo padre.
25 And the children of Anah were these; Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.	25 E suo figliuolo fu Dison, e sua figliuola Oolibama.
26 And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.	26 E questi (sono) i figliuoli di Dison: Hamdan, ed Eseban, e Jethram, e Charan.
27 The children of Ezer are these; Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.	27 Questi pure (sono) i figli di Eser: Balaan, e Zavan, e Acan.
28 The children of Dishan are these: Uz, and Aran.	28 Disan ebbe questi figliuoli: Hus, e Aram.
29 These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah,	29 Questi i capitani degli Horrei: Lotan capitano, Sobal capitano, Sebeon capitano, Ana capitano,
30 Duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of Hori, among their dukes in the land of Seir.	30 Dison capitano, Eser capitano, Disan capitano. Questi i capitani degli Horrei, che ebber comando nella terra di Seir.
31 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.	31 I regi poi, che regnaron nella terra di Edom, prima che gl'Israeliti avessero re, furon questi:
32 And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.	32 Bela figliuolo di Beor, e il nome di sua città Denaba.
33 And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.	33 Morì poi Bela, e in luogo di lui regnò Jobab, figliuolo di Zara di Bosra.
34 And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his stead.	34 E morto Jobab, regnò in luogo di lui Husam della terra dei Themniti.
35 And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.	35 Morto anche questo, regnò in sua vece Adad, figliuolo di Badad il quale sbaragliò i Madianiti nel paese di Moab: e il nome della città di lui Avith.
36 And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.	36 E morto Adad, regnò in luogo di lui Semla di Masreca.
37 And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.	37 E morto anche questo, regnò in luogo di lui Saul di Rohoboth, che è presso il fiume (Eufrate).
38 And Saul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.	38 E dopo che anche questo fu morto, succedette nel regno Balanan, figliuolo di Achobor.
39 And Baal-hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.	39 Morto anche questo, regnò in suo luogo Adar: e il nome della sua città era Phau: e la sua moglie si chiamava Metabel, figliuola di Matred, figliuola di Mezaab.
40 And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names; duke Timnah, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth,	40 Questi (sono) adunque i nomi de' capitani discesi da Esaù secondo le loro stirpi, e i luoghi, e i nomi di questi: il capitano Thamna, il capitano Alva, il capitano Jetheth,
41 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,	41 Il capitano Oolibama, il capitano Ela, il capitano Phinon,
42 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,	42 Il capitano Cenez, il capitano Theman, il capitano Mabsar,
43 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: he is Esau the father of the Edomites.	43 Il capitano Magdiel, il capitano Hiram. Ecco i capitani di Edom, che abitavano ognuno nella terra, a cui comandavano: questo Esaù è il padre degli Idumei.
