1 Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.	1 - Questa è la discendenza d'Esaù, detto Edom.
2 Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;	2 Esaù prese per mogli, di tra le figlie di Canaan, Ada figlia di Elon heteo, ed Oolibama figlia di Ana figlia di Sebeon heveo,
3 And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth.	3 ed anche Basemat figlia di Ismaele, sorella di Nabaiot.
4 And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;	4 Ada partorì Elifaz; Basemat partorì Rauel;
5 And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.	5 Oolibama partorì Ieus, Ielon e Core. Questi sono i figli d'Esaù, natigli nella terra di Canaan.
6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.	6 Prese poi le mogli, i figli, le figlie, tutte le persone di casa sua, gli averi, i greggi, tutto quel che poteva avere nella terra di Canaan, e se n'andò in altra regione, separandosi dal fratello Giacobbe.
7 For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.	7 Perchè erano ricchi molto, e non potevano vivere insieme, nè la terra ove avevano pellegrinato poteva sostentarli, per la gran quantità dei greggi.
8 Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.	8 Dimorò dunque Esaù sul monte Seir; ed egli è [anche chiamato] Edom.
9 And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:	9 Queste dunque sono le generazioni d'Esaù padre di Edom nel monte Seir,
10 These are the names of Esau's sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.	10 e questi sono i nomi de' suoi figliuoli; Elifaz figlio di Ada moglie d'Esaù, e Rauel figlio di Basemat altra moglie di lui.
11 And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.	11 Elifaz ebbe per figli Teman, Omar, Sefo, Gatam e Cenez.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.	12 Era poi Tamna altra donna di Elifaz figlio di Esaù, e gli partorì Amalec: sono questi i discendenti da Ada moglie di Esaù.
13 And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.	13 Figli poi di Rauel furono Naat, Zara, Samma, e Meza: questi i discendenti da Basemat moglie d'Esaù.
14 And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.	14 I figli generati ad Esaù dalla moglie Oolibama figlia di Ana figlia di Sebeon, furono Ieus, Ielon e Core.
15 These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,	15 Questi sono i principi dei figli di Esaù. Figli d'Elifaz primogenito di Esaù: il principe Teman, il principe Omar, il principe Sefo, il principe Cenez,
16 Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah.	16 il principe Core, il principe Gatam, il principe Amalec; son questi i figli di Elifaz nella terra di Edom e figli di Ada.
17 And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.	17 Questi sono i figli di Rauel figlio d'Esaù: il principe Naat, il principe Zara, il principe Samma, il principe Meza; questi sono i principi nati da Rauel nella terra di Edom, e figli di Basemat moglie d'Esaù.
18 And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.	18 Questi poi sono i figli di Oolibama moglie d'Esaù: il principe Ieus, il principe Ielon, il principe Core: principi venuti da Oolibama figlia di Ana, e moglie di Esaù.
19 These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.	19 Son questi i figli d'Esaù, ed i loro principi; ed egli è [detto anche] Edom.
20 These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,	20 Questi sono i figli di Seir l'Horreo, che abitavano quella terra: Lotan, Sobal, Sebeon, Ana,
21 And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.	21 Dison, Eser e Disan. Sono i principi Horrei, figli di Seir nella terra di Edom.
22 And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna.	22 Figli di Lotan furono Hori e Heman; sorella poi di Lotan fu Tamna.
23 And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.	23 Questi i figli di Sobal: Alvan, Manaat, Ebal, Sefo ed Onam.
24 And these are the children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.	24 Figli di Sebeon: Aia ed Ana. Questo Ana è quegli che trovò nel deserto una fonte d'acqua calda, mentre pasceva gli asini di Sebeon suo padre;
25 And the children of Anah were these; Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.	25 ed ebbe per figlio Dison, e per figlia Oolibama.
26 And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.	26 Ecco i figli di Dison: Hamdan, Eseban, Ietram e Caran.
27 The children of Ezer are these; Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.	27 Figli di Eser: Balaam, Zavan ed Acan.
28 The children of Dishan are these: Uz, and Aran.	28 Disan ebbe per figli Hus ed Aram.
29 These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah,	29 Questi dunque sono i principi degli Horrei: il principe Lotan, il principe Sobal, il principe Sebeon, il principe Ana,
30 Duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of Hori, among their dukes in the land of Seir.	30 il principe Dison, il principe Eser, il principe Disan; questi sono i principi degli Horrei, che comandarono nella terra di Seir.
31 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.	31 I re poi che regnarono nella terra di Edom, prima che i figli di Israele avessero un re, furono questi:
32 And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.	32 Bela figlio di Beor, e la sua città ebbe nome Denaba.
33 And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.	33 Morì Bela, e regnò in suo luogo Iobab figlio di Zara, da Bosra.
34 And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his stead.	34 Morto Iobab, regnò per lui Husam, della terra dei Temaniti.
35 And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.	35 Morto anche questi, regnò in suo luogo Adad figlio di Badad, che disfece i Madianiti nella terra di Moab, e la sua città si chiamò Avit.
36 And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.	36 Morto Adad, gli successe Semla, da Masreca.
37 And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.	37 Morto anche questi, fu re Saul, dal fiume Roobot.
38 And Saul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.	38 Lui morto, gli successe nel regno Balanan figlio di Acobor.
39 And Baal-hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.	39 E morto lui pure, regnò per lui Adar, la cui città aveva nome Fau, e la moglie sua si chiamava Meetabel, figlia di Matred figlia di Mezaab.
40 And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names; duke Timnah, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth,	40 Ecco i nomi dei principi usciti da Esaù, secondo le loro famiglie, territori e nomi: il principe Tamna, il principe Alva, il principe Ietet,
41 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,	41 il principe Oolibama, il principe Ela, il principe Finon,
42 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,	42 il principe Cenez, il principe Teman, il principe Mabsar,
43 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: he is Esau the father of the Edomites.	43 il principe Magdiel, il principe Hiram; questi sono i principi di Edom, abitanti ciascuno nella terra del suo dominio; fu questo Esaù il padre degli Idumei.
