1 Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy, a brother: to Philemon, our beloved and fellow labourer;	1 Pablo, prisionero por Cristo Jesús, y Timoteo, el hermano, a nuestro querido colaborador Filemón,
2 And to Appia, our dearest sister, and to Archippus, our fellow soldier, and to the church which is in thy house:	2 a Apia la hermana, a Arquipo, nuestro compañero de armas, y a la Iglesia de tu casa:
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.	3 a vosotros, gracia y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y de Jesucristo el Señor.
4 I give thanks to my God, always making a remembrance of thee in my prayers.	4 Siempre que me acuerdo de ti en mis oraciones, doy gracias a mi Dios
5 Hearing of thy charity and faith, which thou hast in the Lord Jesus, and towards all the saints:	5 al oír el amor y la fe que tienes en el Señor Jesús, y hacia todos los santos,
6 That the communication of thy faith may be made evident in the acknowledgment of every good work, that is in you in Christ Jesus.	6 de modo que la comunión de tu fe se manifieste reconociendo el bien tan grande que hay en nosotros en orden a Cristo.
7 For I have had great joy and consolation in thy charity, because the bowels of the saints have been refreshed by thee, brother.	7 Pues he experimentado gran gozo y consuelo por tu amor, hermano, ya que, gracias a ti, los corazones de los santos han encontrado alivio.
8 Wherefore though I have much confidence in Christ Jesus, to command thee that which is to the purpose:	8 Por eso, aunque tengo plena libertad en Cristo para indicarte lo que conviene hacer,
9 For charity sake I rather beseech, whereas thou art such a one, as Paul an old man, and now a prisoner also of Jesus Christ.	9 prefiero apelar a tu caridad, yo, Pablo, anciano, y ahora prisionero por Cristo Jesús.
10 I beseech thee for my son, whom I have begotten in my bands, Onesimus,	10 Te recomiendo a Onésimo, mi hijo, a quien engendré en la prisión,
11 Who hath been heretofore unprofitable to thee, but now is profitable both to me and thee,	11 que antes era tan inútil para ti, y ahora en cambio es tan útil para ti y para mí.
12 Whom I have sent back to thee. And do thou receive him as my own bowels.	12 Te lo envío como a hijo.
13 Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered to me in the bands of the gospel:	13 Me hubiera gustado retenerlo junto a mí, para que me sirviera en nombre tuyo en esta prisión que sufro por el Evangelio;
14 But without thy counsel I would do nothing: that thy good deed might not be as it were of necessity, but voluntary.	14 pero no he querido retenerlo sin contar contigo: así me harás este favor, no a la fuerza, sino con toda libertad.
15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season from thee, that thou mightest receive him again for ever:	15 Quizá se apartó de ti por breve tiempo para que lo recobres ahora para siempre;
16 Not now as a servant, but instead of a servant, a most dear brother, especially to me: but how much more to thee both in the flesh and in the Lord?	16 y no como esclavo, sino como algo mejor que un esclavo, como un hermano querido, que si lo es mucho para mí, cuánto más para ti, humanamente y en el Señor.
17 If therefore thou count me a partner, receive him as myself.	17 Si me consideras compañero tuyo, recíbelo a él como a mí.
18 And if he hath wronged thee in any thing, or is in thy debt, put that to my account.	18 Si en algo te ha perjudicado y te debe algo, ponlo en mi cuenta:
19 I Paul have written it with my own hand: I will repay it: not to say to thee, that thou owest me thy own self also.	19 yo, Pablo, te firmo el pagaré de mi puño y letra, para no hablar de que tú me debes tu propia persona.
20 Yea, brother. May I enjoy thee in the Lord. Refresh my bowels in the Lord.	20 Sí, hermano, hazme este favor en el Señor; alivia mi ansiedad, por amor a Cristo.
21 Trusting in thy obedience, I have written to thee: knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.	21 Te escribo fiado de tu disponibilidad: sé que harás más de lo que te pido.
22 But withal prepare me also a lodging. For I hope that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.	22 Otra cosa: prepárame hospedaje, pues, gracias a vuestras oraciones, espero saludaros.
23 There salute thee Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus;	23 Te saludan Epafras, compañero de prisión por Cristo Jesús;
24 Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke my fellow labourers.	24 Marcos, Aristarco, Demas y Lucas, mis colaboradores.
25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.	25 La gracia del Señor Jesucristo esté con vuestro espíritu. Amén.
